My point being that the fact that you said that in the first place means you STILL haven't even read the class you're trying to play, considering Domains and Inquisitions often do little, if ANYTHING to increase your ability to "Stomp face".

The problem we're having here is that I have no way to reliably communicate with you (unlike the rest of the group) since you only seem to want to use discussion, PMs, etc. and other forms of delayed communication, which means any question you ask will not be seen right away, will not be answered right away, you won't see it right away, and then won't ask your follow-up question right away.

Which would be fine if you were a more experienced player, but as-is character creation is some complicated s#%@ the first few times in this game. I spent a few hours on each person here the first time they made a character, making sure they understood their class abilities (the basics, at least), and I would be perfectly willing to spend those few hours with you...if I could be assured that those few hours would be in one block, or at least several shorter blocks over the same day or two, rather than a few hours of communication spread over more than a week since you only get online for about an hour a day or so, if that, it seems.

I really need you to either find a way to reliably communicate with me, or to really delve into reading the massive volume of stuff you need to read for this game. The latter is...unreasonable of me to assume. You have a lot more important things you need to be doing.

I really don't want to kick you out or anything, truly. I don't like to do stuff like that to my friends, and I do consider you a friend, or at least a close acquaintance. But it seems as though it might be better to at the least fit you in at a later date. Take some time to read up on the game and the classes you want to try, get a better understanding of it. Get your Steam account restored so you can pester me at all hours of the night (like everyone else does =)), and come back at that point? Because from what you've said to me and what's happened so far, as things go this just isn't a feasible option for you right now, and it may lead to frustration on both our sides if it continues.

I will be quite willing to work you into a new campaign at some future date, or even this one later depending on changed circumstances, but I think this has already been handled pretty poorly on both sides (perhaps moreso on my side).

I perfectly agree with your points; furthermore, I'd like to discontinue my part in this campaign. I thank you all for putting up with most of my crap, and I really do hope that I can establish a better form of communication than what we've had (Steam account is almost there, guys!).

Personally, I will spend time looking up stuff whilst waiting for a fix on that Steam Account, and then I shall contact you and try to go from there. I'm mainly going to be looking at the variety of things I can pull off Stealth wise, and also do more research on magic (I had barely any idea of the stuff in the first place).

Once again, thank you all for taking me in, changing your plans for me to fit in, and generally tolerating me up to this point. I bid thee farewell!

P.S. Rynjin, feel free to make Jules die a horrible, horrible death. I really don't care for the poor bastard any more.

See, you're doing the same thing again, going into a class with very little knowledge of how it works, ASSUMING it's as simple as you think it is, and then going from there.

You claim that I assume things without questioning them or asking others, no?

I expressed (even if in a convoluted fashion) confusion and/or doubt in my belief, and asked for clarification. You can argue that "you obviously displayed a primary understanding to domains being the proper choice" all you wish, but I did acknowledge my issue.

I could honestly be arguing semantics, but I REALLY don't like it when an incident of me going into something at the last moment, trying to fit in a spot without dedicating time to it or asking questions about it, and then being rushed along the path gets compared to taking a minor guess at something and asking before going through with it.

As far as I can tell, you really have no interest in helping me or understanding my problems in trying to work out a character. If you don't have the time to, then just say so; and I'll quit the campaign.

The problem I had with Magus was the requirement of more knowledge about the game's Spell mechanics and Combat mechanics than I had at the time. The whole reason I didn't realize the stuff about adding Spells was because I didn't have enough time to read through the entire class list since the game was almost starting.

Inquisitor is rather simple for me; pick a Domain (or maybe an Inquisition, please clarify on that) out of what your deity represents, and use that to stomp face. Pretty easy.

The magic is much simpler, and the whole concept is something I'm more able to work with both character-wise and gameplay-wise. But in the end, your word is much more valuable.

I have decided to kill off Jules, and reroll for a character that'd be more comfortable to my style AND be helpful against the undead.

I'd like you all to meet my current build of a completely inane and undead-fathoming Inquisitor:

Saint Joseph Bartholomew Caiaphas the Second, "Paragon" (in his head) of Religious Devoutness to the goddess Iomedae.

Please advise me on what I should try and improve with him; I'd much prefer to help you all than to be useless.

Currently, I'm going towards a mix of a small buffer with a large portion of divine/holy melee. As such, I have Detect Undead (I don't know if we could get rid of Shakens that way, but we could avoid haunts), Bless (50 ft. burst for +1 buffs on Attack Rolls and against Fear), and Stabilize (so that we DON'T have to deal with a Cassiel moment again). Again, if any of this sounds terrible, please let me know.

Finally, I'll be trying to talk to Cube (please don't hate me) about coordinating the two of our characters; I don't want to screw up anything he does, or be a Mini-Me of his character (funnily enough, Iomedae hates Pharasma; go figure).

tl;dr scrapping Jules due to lack of shit, replacing with a class I can understand

Oh god, I'm really sorry about the time shit.

I've been busy with school and a whole bunch of shit that I've made commitments to, and I want to say I'm sorry.

how do sir
