| Colonel Saul Kopel |
Joe & Timeline
Only one of the Knights managed to escape, the remainder were taken out when Dreidel-Man landed on them. You are able to apprehend one of the hired thugs from the storefront but the remainder appear to have fled once the Knights showed up.
Timeline obliges, muttering something about "glorified taxi service" before exiting the room leaving you and Kopel alone to discuss business.
Kopel is less than pleased at Timeline's abrupt appearance and only softens when he sees you. You shouldn't just appear like that, old friend. A lesser man would have had a heart attack. He walks to the door and checks that no one is listening. All he spots is Timeline dismantling the hallway's smoke alarm and fiddling with it's insides.
Kopel turns back to you. Remind me to insulate this bunker better. This is supposed to be Black Diamond clearance only. It might be better if you send your friend away quickly, before the heat sensors register him.
Kopel listens to your afternoon adventures and his brow furrows in concern. The Knights have someone capable of nullifying your ability to transform? And they are aware of your true nature? That's not good. We may have to leverage a few of our other resources. It is truly a shame that one of the council have fallen. I will inform the rest of the elders for you. It is unfortunate but we must grieve in silence for if word of this got out even to the traditional military, they might disband our cell. I will handle McConnor's custody personally. He will have to be dealt with quietly.
Kopel accepts the ring and casually mentions, Joe, I want you to check yourself into Medical before you head home. Jehovah knows you don't have vitals in the traditional sense but I would like them to run a few psych tests on you. Standard procedure of course. I'd better be getting home soon, there's a storm rolling in tonight. A big one.
Insight Check. Timeline, feel free to roll as well.
Hero Point awarded to Joe for Complication.
