I’m good to go. I always have my fire available. And YES he has a single track mind for it. He’s not just a Pyrokenetic who likes fire…he’s a serial arsonist that chooses to focus his abilities for the greater good. The ‘greater good’ part helps keep him out of jail…
Cole shakes his head in bewilderment. "You are missing the distinction: They died IN a traumatic fire inside a sanitarium/jail. Not by being completely incinerated. Otherwise we would find nothing left of their corpses. I would make sure NOTHING but ash is left. I can't speak to their spirits of course, but we have already dealt with those I think."
Cole makes a point. ”I could just burn the bodies outside. It would only take few minutes.”
Embarrassed by his loss of self control, short-lived as it was, Cole keeps his mouth shut for the next while.
Turning back to the hovering specter Cole ignores Sterling, finds his nerve again, and reaches out with fire!
Cole sneers at Sergei, retorts angrily. ”Why? Such weakness is unbecoming of this group! Suck it up! Move on! We have work to do. Don’t forget the spirit holding these monsters back probably cannot do so forever. There is a time limit to this little quest of ours…”
No worse for wear in the end, Cole shakes his head to clear it of the last of the haunting laughter. Seeing some of his compatriots clutching their heads, and some even bleeding from their eyes/ears/noses, he sneers and douses his flames as he walks out and past everyone. "We still have more to do! Monsters to silence: Stop lolly-gagging around...
Targeting the words, Cole attempts to scour them away with more fire!
Just be careful! Don’t forget to take care of yourself as well. Holiday burnout/depression is hard on everyone.
Not needing to hear another word, Cole opens up on the weird stuff coming out of the walls! "Step BACK!" Blast(Burn 1)Fan of Flames Fire Blast (Reflex DC13 for 1/2):
Your kinetic blast extends in a fan of flames, damaging all creatures and objects in a 15-foot cone.
Transferring his magical light back to his blade, he raises it up for a better view of the walls! "To the walls! Look! Splatter man writes!"
Cole will heat up a copper coin till it glows(effectively a light spell), and tosses it into the oubliette to maybe reveal if anything is down there in the dark depths...
Cole shrugs. ”I’m stubborn. And even rocks will burn if you get them hot enough.”
Cole shakes his head gently. "I feel it could only relay what it witnessed itself. Anything else would be speculation."
Cole snorts. ”They are fine…all things being as they are. You however…might be a bit shocked.”
With his eyes still closed Cole offers a mild suggestion sitht saigh. "These people were INSANE. If you don't think that doesn't somehow carry over into undeath, then you are too... Not everyone who does evil THINKS they are evil. They might have thought they were saving the world. They often still see themselves as the hero of their own twisted story I fear."
Cole offers a simple and lazy salute to Sterling's 'meh-sounding' compliment. Then leans back and closes his eyes. "Anytime Sterling. Glad to help! I know you occasionally stumble through those 'high and mighty' speeches of yours sometimes..."
No idea who that is. I always thought a Half-Orc pyromanic with a heart of cold steel, and pure hate-on for undead, sounded like a cool concept for D&D/Pathfinder. Can't wait until I get to 3rd level. Then my fire starts doing 2d6 base damage.
Cole snorts and smiles when Sterling mentions his ego’s size. He then waves away the words and crashes in a chair nearby with a sigh. He then summons a glowing dot of smoking fire on his finger tip. ”Keep your people safe. Let us handle the prison.”
Turning suddenly Cole changes the tone of his voice and steeples his fingers together, acting pompous and familiar… ”I surmise that the bodies might not necessarily be within their cells if there was a jailbreak. Also, their spirits may well be bound to where they were trapped versus where they may have perished.“
IT'S ALIIIIIIIIVE!!!! Maybe its the undead version?
Snickering, the others can hear Cole laugh out a bit. "Heh! He said 'blazes'...you must have stuck a cord there Zy. I probably could have heard his eyes roll all the way down in Avernus!"
"Told ya we should have just set his remains on fire." Zy says, as she follows Sterling and the others out. Cole smiles broadly at the suggestion, nods knowingly, and follows the woman out.
Ditto.
Cole rolls his eyes at Sterling's comments, but doesn't hold back the fire on finishing off the rest of the body. Then he stamps out the cinders to avoid another fire spreading again. A small smile creases his face as the flames illuminate his face...
Using the magic ring he aquired, Cole grasps Zek’s hand and attempts to cut the undead’s connection to its negative energy!
"Fire in the hole!" Stepping to get a clear shot, he blasts the prisoner's skeletal remains!
Hearing everything from the hallway, Cole curses loudly and ignites his hand with a ready flame...! "STUPID...GODS-BE-DAMNED BASTARDS! NEXT TIME WE BURN THE BODIES FIRST!" He then hesitates and frowns heavily, not sure what to do next.
Cole raises his smoking sword while still in the hall outside the cell, trying to remain vigilant and more than willing to burn the corpse’s remains once it has been agreed upon.
From the hallway Cole’s voice carries. ”Burn‘em or bag’em! I don’t care which. Let’s get moving!”
Rolling his eyes again, Cole steps back into the hallway. "You mean your NORMAL baseline state of being? No surprise there Sterling."
Wisps of smoke coming from his hand, he points and then Cole sneers. "I say burn it. But that's just me..." He looks at the others with a snake-like coldness in them, and raises an eyebrow.
”Look around. We need to make sure the corpse of the piper is taken care of.”
Grunting loudly, Cole withdraws the blade. ”I’m used to killing zombies, not walking museum pieces!”
Moving to the remaining skeleton, Cole slashes at it with his weapon inelegantly but effectively.
He then sneers. "Everyone having fun yet? I know I am..."
No degrees on me. I'm no professional actor either...but I have been role-playing in D&D and similar games since around...1985? ('Stranger Things' hits the nostalgia button hard sometimes!) I bought the first Monster Manual without ever know exactly what the game was from my local hobby store (They mostly sold train sets and remote control airplanes!). I just thought it looked cool. Then I managed to get the Basic D&D (Red box) set and the rest is history. So that's forty or so years of practice. On and off. That time also includes two failed marriages, and having two sons I love dearly. One is 34 and the other is 11 years old. =)
Cole moves up and using his free hand throws fire at the nearest skeleton!
"Hurry up and do SOMETHING Sterling!"
I mostly just burn things.
Concentrating, Cole’s body starts warming the hallway, giving off waves of heat.

~@2nd Level: Searing Flesh Element(s) fire; Type defense (Su); Level —; Burn 0 Your body becomes painfully hot. Whenever a creature hits you with a natural attack or an unarmed strike, that creature takes 1 point of fire damage per 4 kineticist levels you possess (minimum 1 point of fire damage). A creature in a grapple with you takes double this amount of damage at the end of each of its turns. Weapons that strike you also take this damage, though the damage is unlikely to penetrate the weapon’s hardness. By accepting 1 point of burn, you can increase this damage by 1 point per 4 kineticist levels you possess until the next time your burn is removed.
Whiffing while trying to take care of the stirge that was harassing her and needing to be saved by Cole is a little embarrassing. When she walks by him to move on, Teofila doesn't say 'thanks', but she does raise an eyebrow in acknowledgment. Her face shows a mixture of wryness and ruefulness that communicates it instead. Wiping the stirge’s remains off with an old rag, Cole then tosses it in a random corner and simply smiles for half a second and nods slightly as Teo walks past. No verbal sparring was necessary where respect and understanding grows.
