Reiko materializes to fight the dragon
Peril: 1d5 ⇒ 1 Ablaze
Dragon BYA: 1d10 + 5 + 1d4 ⇒ (7) + 5 + (4) = 16 Success; no damage
Combat 22 to defeat Dragon, revealing Lucky Starknife, discarding Blessing of the Quartermaster, and adding wildebonus: 1d10 + 5 + 1d4 + 1 + 1d10 + 1d4 ⇒ (6) + 5 + (3) + 1 + (7) + (1) = 23 Success, and dragon down!

The serpent corners Kess, and springs for the kill. As the massive jaws open, Kess goes to leap to the side, but finds there is nowhere left to go. The gallant prepares for certain doom bravely. Suddenly the worm slumps to the stone, eyes glazing over. A panting Reiko appears from behind the dragon, covered in the blood of the beast up to her elbows. She removes her black hood and shakes out her ebon, silken tresses. Finally, and uncharacteristically, she smiles. The beast is dead.

One moment, Enora is rushing alongside the rest of the crew, and the next she is gone. Looking up, they see her flying backwards into space, her mouth s soundless, surprised "O".

Break a leg, folks. See you around the way.

Ha! That's awesome. Very cool to have you, Izdrix. These shenanigans are why you do the specials.

Turn 9/Hayato. Blessing of the Gods

Chastised by his failure to open a simple chest, Hayato scans the crowd as he sips his tea.

Explore Alehouse card #1: Potion of Heroism. Auto-fail.

A waitress walks by with an intriguing-smelling potion of some sort. Hayato keeps his attention on his tea.

Discard Falcon to explore Alehouse card #2: Pirate Captain

The samurai drops a coin emblazoned with a flying falcon on the bar to pay for hsi drink and prepares to leave. He feels a hard hand on his shoulder, and he is spun around to find that he is face-to-face with a hard-eyed man. A thin moustache, clearly grown to add character to a boring face, is the only thing that Hayato can look at as the man growls. "Leaving, Minkian? Too good for our little watering hole?" Drink has crossed the man's eyes; he looks to be a few minutes from sweet oblivion. Nonetheless, the pirate swings a clenched fist at the ronin.

Recharge Blood Periapt for monster power
Combat 13 to defeat Pirate Captain, reveailing Boarding Pike: 1d10 + 3 + 1d6 + 1d8 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 + (4) + (7) + (4) + 1 = 29

Hayato easily parries the blow, then lays the man out. It seems unlikely he will get up any time soon. Hayato offers a prayer of thanks to the gods.

Discard Blessing of the Samurai 2 to explore Alehouse card #3: Giant Moray Eel

No sooner does he turn his back, then a second, LARGER hand grabs his shoulder. This time, when he is spun around, he has to crane his neck to see the face that looms over him. "That captain. Me Eel. Eel work for captain. Eel mad at little man!" Once again, a fist flies.

Combat 10 to defeat Giant Moray Eel, revealing Boarding Pike: 1d10 + 3 + 1d8 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + (4) + (2) + 1 = 15

Moments later, a second body is laid out upon the floor. Hayato think to himself that perhaps he is enjoying himself too much.

Reset hand and end turn.

Adowyn delves deeper into the library.

Explore Great Library of Tephu Card #1: Rukh

Even here in a place of learning, she is attacked! The creature faces off with the hunter in a quiet section of the stacks.

Combat 13 to defeat Rukh, revealing Animalbane Crossbow +2: 1d10 + 5 + 1d10 + 2 + 1d8 ⇒ (2) + 5 + (3) + 2 + (7) = 19

and, again!

Combat 13 to defeat Rukh, revealing Animalbane Crossbow +2: 1d10 + 5 + 1d10 + 2 + 1d8 ⇒ (10) + 5 + (10) + 2 + (5) = 32

The creature is pinned to a large travelogue of the Worldwound. Adowyn makes sure to recover the bolts, and then calls on the Green to provide a local companion in this strange place.

Bury Charm Animal to draw Stone Weasel from box

She is answered by a weasel that slides to her feet from in between two great stacks of tomes on mushrooms. Adowyn scratches the thing's head and sends is along to lead the way.

Discard Stone Weasel to explore Great Library of Tephu Card #2: Minnothet. Auto-fail check to acquire, so shuffle it back into deck.

She passes a shopkeeper, who nods at her but moves quickly in the opposite direction. Adowyn checks her compass and continues.

Discard Compass to explore random Great Library of Tephu Card .
Random Great Libarary of Tephu card: 1d10 ⇒ 4 Blasphemous Priest

She hears an unnerving voice behind her... she turns - it is the undead priest from before! What does it take to kill such a thing? She fires her crossbow.

Combat 10 to defeat Blasphemous Priest, revealing Animalbane Crossbow +2: 1d10 + 5 + 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + (4) + 2 = 12

The thing is silent, a bolt where its heart should be. Learning is dangerous, she muses as she recovers her bolt.

Reset hand and end turn.
