What is the Terminator to you? What do you want to emulate?

I like the idea of the unfeeling terminator. I would like to make a character who to quote the phrase "Takes a licking but keeps on ticking."

Hi All,
It has been a couple year since I've been on this board but I know that you all have a slew of ideas and I am hoping you could help me with this one. Our DM will be starting Iron Gods in 6-10 months. Right away The Terminator popped into my head, and I was hoping you might have suggestions as to how I might build such a character. I think either Alchimist or Fighter might be the ideal class. It might be nice to make something Tank-like. Thoughts?
