The admission of fault goes a long way to ease my concerns, as well as taking the time to give the option to not be police and methods of non-lethal capturing of criminals, but most importantly putting your money where your mouth is, thanks for all the effort it is greatly appreciated.

Interesting, so the majority of you here would deem the use of the item itself to begin with an evil act? (Curiosity abounds)

So my group is playing WoTR and our wizard got ahold of a magic item that turns people Chaotic evil if they fail a save. He studied and adjusted the magic to make his own version that turns people neutral good. Our party has been pretty split on the item and my character the de facto leader took beyond morality and is only concerned with winning the war against the abyss and creating a utopia of sorts and has good out of his ways to bring people under his wing to redeem them through any method he can get ahold of which usually just means a Diplomacy check repeatedly. So the magic item was used for the first time tonight against a demon that rolled really bad and fell under the effect, it then started begging for death.

The group excluding myself and the followers I'd gathered killed him after about 15 minutes of bickering about it. My question is this, do you all consider this to be a good act?

So my group is starting up Wrath of the righteous next month and I'm in love with the Marshal mystic path. I've been trying to design a build to fit my character idea which is in simple terms, a knight bringing glory back to his family name by being a fantastic leader.

I'm looking at taking squire 3rd level and Stronghold as soon as I can. I also like the flavor of the Flag bearer feat I really want to be a battle herald and I'm trying to get the best set up I can right now and

I'm having a really hard time with this build. In combat I either want to do mounted combat or fight along side my party with my house flag using my class abilities, aid another and teamwork feats with my squire and others to great effect.

Aasimar for flavor/backstory reasons

Any input or advise would be really appreciated I'm looking at

Paladin 3 (Holy Tactician)
Cavalier 1 (Standard Bearer) (Order of the Dragon)
Cleric 1 (Evangelist) 1
Battle Herald 10
Paladin 5(Holy Tactician)
With a secondary Focus on Teamwork/Aid another

Or

Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Fighter 2
Bard 1 (Arcane Duelist)
Battle Herald 10
Cavalier 5

With a secondary focus on mounted combat.

No 3rd party or 3.5 allowed for any reason some of the group and most importantly the DM have blanketed it all with the label unbalanced and are set in their ways
