About Chiron
Backstory:
Chiron is known to the few inhabitants of the greenbelt. Being one of a very few centaur in the region, Chiron is used to reactions of fear or awe at his approach. In truth, one could scarcely find a gentler being - at least when he is in good spirits. If roused however, his anger is seldom sated quickly.
Chiron makes his living as a simple trapper and guide. He trades at whatever settlements he passes and rarely stays long. Lately, there has been an increasing number of bandits and brigands in the greenwood. They waste nature's bounty and think nothing of the guiding force of the stars. Chiron fights these whenever possible.
In so doing, he gains a reputation for being something of a highwayman. These rumors are grossly in error though he cannot deny he has profited from these men, over 100 gold sovereigns now.
It is said that the swordlords are searching for able surveyors and woodsman to charter new principalities in the River Kingdoms. Hoping both to serve lady Desna by guiding these kingmakers and to weigh down his own purse, Chiron inquires in town for a position amongst the surveying teams.
