Hi, guys. To all my games: sorry I've been such a butt lately.
Basically, I was away from the internet for a while, but before and after that, I've been writing so much for work that PbP just felt like a chore. And I've come to realize that while I love my job, right now it's just not leaving me the time and creative energy I need forPbP, so, while I've sort of been sliding down that slope for a while, I figured I should actually tell all my games that I've gotta drop out.
Sorry to disappoint and potentially leave a bunch of people hanging at the end there, and I hope I was generally fun.

Ahhhh sorry guys, travel got messy and I was without internet for a few days. I probably should've followed up on my phone, but too many games were updating and I got overwhelmed (and I didn't realize all the Rednalgames were back to updating quickly).
In general, though—my work has stepped up a *lot* over the last month and will be for the foreseeable future. I haven't joined any new games in a while, and I'm not planning to, but I might not be as attentive a player as I used to be. The spirit that flowed through Child's body saw little reason to treat this as a fair fight, when the ambushers hadn't—but it didn't seem like much of a challenge, and so he decided to show off a bit.
"Isen, is this even worth our time?" he asked, taking care to pronounce the words slowly; and, brandishing his scimitar, drew the shield from his back as he sunk down into the ground until all that was visible was the sword and shield.
Casting Metamorphosis to gain burrow, then 5' stepping downwards. IIRC I think this counts as full cover? With shield, AC is 21 or 29 if full cover.

How far are we out of town? Child gets +17 to any exercise-related checks, which along with cure spells means I can easily run a three-minute mile, or continuously hustle at around 11 miles/hour, which means if the party's less than two hours out I can be there and back in under an hour.

Yeah, I might stay away from the front lines for a bit. Aegis won't go much higher for a *long* time—I'd be far better off just wearing full plate—but that cripples my ability to cast arcane spells and be sneaky (if I had spheres, I could just whirlwind assembly), so I'm trying to avoid it for a while, or maybe go for shield-and-sword combat.
Which means my options are
A) Delay entering Horizon Walker until level 8, which (for very complicated reasons) increases my AC by 2, which would get me up to 23/26 shielded AC at level 8, 23/27 at 9, and 25/29 at 10. None of those numbers are super great :/ but this is probably my best option, and Crystal Spaulders make it less terrible.
B) save up, craft an Armiger's Panoply and buy regular full plate armor. This means taking a standard action to get *out* of armor (not super terrible for mythic characters), and roughly the same AC but with extra goodies from not burning class abilities for it.
C) Just avoid melee combat or something. Maybe craft some obscure AC boosting items through nefarious means. At level 11 I can get hustle power and a +5 boost to AC through metamorphosing into a small armored humanoid as a move action because everything is shenanigans.

My big problem with ABP is that it seriously back-ends a lot of bonuses that frontline fighters/martials would otherwise prioritize; at level 17, for instance, AC goes up by 3, while at our level it goes up by 1 every 3 levels, and as a result ABP tends to down-power martial character. Which honestly is probably fine because martial characters are OP anyway, and gestalt balances all that out.

Sure. Keep Watch is just on everyone else's spell list, so by the time it's economical it should be easy.

Hmm. Well uh... Child can't be tracked in favored terrain + flying, so with pass without trace, so uh, if you need someone who's triple-untrackable for no actual reason.
PwoT might be less important in an AP, but it's generally really nice when people think of it.
That said, uh... Keep Watch will be amazing in a few more levels, and with Wild Instinct, we'd wind up better at perception overnight than during the day.

Err... Horizon Walker will give me 2-3 favored terrains, depending on how far I take it—planning probably on Urban, Dungeon, and maybe one other (depending on where Jagladine/Klaven come from). The Favored Terrain I get from Trailblazer, though, can be changed with 8 hours of work. (And that's the one I'll adjust to each planet's climate)
It's not a huge boon, but it lets me shore up my terrible initiative score and mediocre perception—plus, it's yet another way in which Child realigns to his environment.
