Thats just it, they could add thier own content, official Pathfinder content, allow third parties to do the same, and sell the content just like they do now. they could also add in a pathfinder mmo type game, maybe use it for official santioned characters for events and competitions.

some the content would be game driven like the old games are so that everyone has the same adventure to play. others DMs can control, forexample a player turn drieven game would need a DM to force turns if a player went afk etc.

I dont have alot of time to write this atm, ill be back later.

Anyway, what about a Game made for PC?
One that has the controls of temple of Elemental evil.
maybe better graphics
Has tools built into it that
A) allow you to connect online with friends
B) create user content using the current product lines
C) allow players and DMs to play together online on a DMs module/world
D) Have tools much like the campaign cartographer for making maps
E) allow ALL content to be printable so that both a Pen and paper game can be running while another person say halfway around the world can be right there and play along.

I know this is ambitious, but quite frankly, if Paizo could pull this off they would literally revelutionize the industry.

with some creidt and such going to me maybe?
=) anyway ill be back on later after work.

A good rule of thumb is simply, if i fail an attemt, can i keep trying till i succeed? for example, lets say you are trying to jump a chasm, where failure means falling down a large crag to either your death or a long arse trip back up, can you take 10? no, because failure requires considerable effort to try again. now lets say you are trying to jump up to a ledge 8 feet above you. can you easily keep trying over and over again till you get the ledge? sure you can. If its withing your ability, and you are able to spend time and keep trying till you get it, you can take ten or 20 or whatever, however if attempts mean a catastrophic failure( like falling down a deep hole or maybe picking a trapped lock) then no you shouldnt be able to keep trying. regardless your dm said no, and thus trumps all other rules anyway.

Heh, i wish things were a bit better laid out in the book I guess. for example the shield discription should make note about off hand bonuses and where to find it, i just found on page 179 under Damege/stregth bonus that the strength bonus is halved for attacking with an off hand weapon. thus my GF's shield bash would only get half her strength bonus if she uses that instead of her primary weapon....

Im new to the system and a little confused. My GF's barbarian has a spiked shield, it says it can be used and does damage. my question is, is it considered 2 weapon fighting if used? and thus use the 2 weapon penalties, or since our intent is to use it instead of the normal onehander she's using, when the need arises is it just considered a single attack?
basically im wondering if she can switch between using her longsword and shield as her main weapon without incurring a duel wield penalty consiering as she wont be using it as an extra attack in a round but as the only attack instead of the sword.

however she is using it in the off hand so im wondering what, if any penalties would be applied.
