Heart of the Fey Fey-touched humans enjoy senses and reactions superior to those of their kin. These humans receive low-light vision, gain a +1 racial bonus on Reflex and Will saves, and treat Knowledge (nature) and Perception as class skills. This racial trait replaces skilled.

Eye for Talent Humans have great intuition for hidden potential. They gain a +2 racial bonus on Sense Motive checks. In addition, when they acquire an animal companion, bonded mount, cohort, or familiar, that creature gains a +2 bonus to one ability score of the character’s choice. This racial trait replaces the bonus feat trait.

Prophetic Armor (Ex): You are so in tune with your primal nature that your instincts often act to save you from danger that your civilized mind isn’t even aware of. You may use your Charisma modifier (instead of your Dexterity modifier) as part of your Armor Class and all Reflex saving throws. Your armor’s maximum Dexterity bonus applies to your Charisma, instead.

Primal Companion (Ex): You gain the service of a faithful animal of the night. You can select from a bear, boar, crocodile, shark, tiger, or wolf. This animal functions as a druid’s animal companion, using your oracle level as your effective druid level.

Haunted: Malevolent spirits follow you wherever you go, causing minor mishaps and strange occurrences (such as unexpected breezes, small objects moving on their own, and faint noises). Retrieving any stored item from your gear requires a standard action, unless it would normally take longer. Any item you drop lands 10 feet away from you in a random direction. Add mage hand and ghost sound to your list of spells known. At 5th level, add levitate and minor image to your list of spells known. At 10th level, add telekinesis to your list of spells known. At 15th level, add reverse gravity to your list of spells known.

Animal Feats: In addition to the standard animal companion feats, a bodyguard may select Bodyguard, Combat Patrol, Heroic Defiance, Heroic Recovery, and In Harm’s Way.

Shared Vigilance (Ex): A bodyguard and its master both gain Alertness as a bonus feat whenever they are adjacent. This ability replaces share spells.

Appearance and Personality:

Tall with stark-white hair and pale-blue eyes, Chases Moonlight has the definite quality of someone who prefers to calmly watch and listen rather than make a bunch of noise herself. More often than not, people answer their own questions or move on in the face of her questioning stare. When she speaks, it is always brief and often cryptic. Whether this should display wisdom or ignorance… well, it’s probably some of both.

When Chases Moonlight has the opportunity to move calmly and slowly, she has a very careful, almost graceful gait. But that doesn’t hold up when things start moving quickly. Her tall, lanky form tends to lumber and stomp when she runs and she is very prone to tripping at times. But what she lacks in grace, she makes up in raw strength. Though it isn’t obvious at first glance, she has the ruthless ability to focus her physical prowess with an almost savage efficiency.

Though her attire has the occasional mark of modern civilization, for the most part she looks like a woman plucked directly from her Shoanti tribe, furs, bones, tattoos and all. The runic tattoos on her face and body symbolize the moon and night. The modern touches include a few pieces of silver and gemstone jewelry as well as a very well-crafted breastplate that can be seen beneath the furs.

Her companion is an unusually large wolf with grey fur, clad in dark leather and bone-studded armor. The wolf is either very well-trained or somehow magically compelled, as it rarely leaves her side. For an animal, it has a rather calm demeanor, not seeming to mind at all having to wait around.
