Charles was raised with heretical views that have made it difficult for him to accept most religious beliefs and often caused him or those he loved to be treated as pariahs. As a result, he has turned his back on religious teachings. He followed the path of an investigator to prove that these powerful gods and deities might not be as powerful as they would like others to believe.
