This is some really good stuff. I'm interested in Angol Ceredir. How would you build him as he is and past level 15? What tactics would he used since he is paranoid? What traits would you give him?

Witches gain spells sort of like wizards:

A witch must commune with her familiar each day to prepare her spells. Familiars store all of the spells that a witch knows, and a witch cannot prepare a spell that is not stored by her familiar. A witch’s familiar begins play storing all of the 0-level witch spells plus three 1st level spells of the witch’s choice. The witch also selects a number of additional 1st-level spells equal to her Intelligence modifier to store in her familiar. At each new witch level, she adds two new spells of any spell level or levels that she can cast (based on her new witch level) to her familiar. A witch can also add additional spells to her familiar through a special ritual. -d20pfsrd

There's a discussion of how witches gain spells on p. 68 of the APG.

Ive searched 20pfsrd for that and could not find it for some reason. Thank you!

Am I good on assuming that a witch's patron knows all those spells on the witches spell list? I just choose spells from that list on my spells per day per level?

I dont gain two new spells or whatever like a wizard.

Playing my first wizard here next week. I was wondering if there was any cool, flavorful, but legal ways of pimping out your spellbook? What are some of the customization you tried?

Thanks for all the input but Im not really looking into using a bow. I do want to do the Qinggong route and actually use some spells just to see how it plays out. Im not looking to out do anyone in terms of damage but would still like to keep some of the battlefield control the monk offers while incorporating the spells.

I've been doing some research and I decided I wanted to try this new Qinggong archetype. Still doing a lot of reading but I wanted to see what more experienced players could pump out.

The rules:
36 point buy
Full BAB
Access to 3.5 material if needed. [Intuitive Strike seems like a good idea.]
Ability for some maneuvers would be great
If it matters, I am taking vow of chains. [DM is giving me +2 to damage and 2/ DR for them. Also said I would enchant them later on. *shrugs*]

Anything else just ask.

Allow me to clarify, I will be able to post at least 1+ times a day, I will sometimes have slower internet at different camps around the oil field i'm working in. But I can use my cell phone for internet if I need to. It would just be a little more difficult but still doable ^^;. When i'm on my 2 weeks off i'm able to post a-lot more. =D

If you have anymore questions i'll answer the best I can. ^^

Spoiler:
Lawful Neutral. Sorry

I cant edit..but obviously I would be first level.

Also, applying for using a concept for another Kingmaker game I applied for but didnt make it. I am in GMT -5 and can post everyday as needed.

Spoiler:
Race: Human
Class: Sorcerer [Arcane Bloodline] lvl 2
Desired Role: Magistor or Councilor
Best Role: Magister [She would be at the forefront of the dealings with the arcane and train apprentices]
AP Trait: Bastard
Other Trait: Reactionary

Appearance:

She garners a very tall and lengthy figure but is very gorgeous albeit her height being nearly six feet tall. Her complexion is a honest Varisian olive hue adorned with dark brown eyes and long dark hair just like her mother. An alluring red robe trickled with gold lacing and fancy embroidery fit her well, accentuating her feminine figure in the most tasteful way. On her left hip, she carries a small hardcover tome that slings around her right shoulder. The tome is leather-bound and has a large locking mechanism on the front. It bears some kind of seal but it is even unknown to her.She carries a large stick, a glaive to be exact, that is about as tall as she is. On her person is other random gear and personable.

Personality:

She is a very light hearted person, choosing to usually tone down the seriousness of even the most dire of situations even if in her own mind. A very open minded person, she likes to believe there is always two sides to a coin and would usually take the time to take in both view points. Although, she does believe in some kinda karmic code, she tends to do whats good in her own heart and mind, making her lawful neutral.

Sometimes there is a panache for being very sarcastic, growing up with a wizard who always liked to play word or head games with her stuck with her throughout her childhood and young adult hood. She has a very deep appreciation for intellectuals, having been raised by one, she adores conversation and debates.

Why she would heed the call of the charter:

Having been raised by an "Uncle" who was a moderately skilled wizard, she always felt the line of disconnection with him. She knows she is a bastard child but knows nothing much of her mother other than what her Uncle Daveric spoke of. There is a yearning to find out if her mother is still alive and possibly find her if she is. There's also that curiosity about who her real father is and why she was abandoned. Daveric meeting an untimely death, owed one of the Swordlords a boon, and when he died the Swordlord wanted to collect. Thus, asking/intimidating her to venture to the Stolen Lands with another group of adventurers. There was also talk of a small reward of information pertaining to her mother, if she followed through. With the taking back of the Stolen Lands and its eventual colonization, she hopes to come into some prestige in hopes to gain enough clout to put time and effort into these mysteries of her life.

Hello again, BMR. Good luck to you.

Is this till open for participation? I would like to play a sorcerer. Ill create a concept at work or may just reuse my other sorc concept I never got to play.

If only you weren't in NoVa. I'm in Norfolk and wouldn't mind a different group to play with.

Good luck in your search.

Oh well close but no cigar. Thanks, I'll glady take a waiting slot and will continue to read along. May have to start a game.

If you do, I'd apply at least.

Thats the same boat i'm in, i've been trying to get into a pbp but my timezone makes it difficult and my job as well lol. But I just got into one sandbox styled RP and another one is starting up with Zahara as the lead~ we'll see how far both of them go, i'm very hopeful for a long RP and fun. I was in one that never got off the ground so we win some and lose some.

Bein'Meleth Rámalóce, above is my submission and alot of the concepts i've seen so far are really good as well. I liked the details in yours immensely and enjoy reading everyone else's as well. I love to see how other people write, think and create~

Good luck nonetheless it can take a LONG time to get into a Pbp but i will say Alexander is among the best i've seen in my lurking about the forums =)

Disclaimer: I'm not sucking up :p, i just call it as i see it, he is an extremely organized and crafty DM.

If this disrupts the thread i'll move this conversation somewhere else sorry ^^;

Good luck to you as well. You can believe I have been waiting patiently and they already have a witch, so probably cut down on my chances of joining.

Bump. :)

nice concept there charisma =) although i didn't think of any campaign traits to add in their for flavor >.<;

I tried looking up alot of my cavaliers info from actual facts on the barding, horses and lances of medieval knights. Although i had to keep it confined to a second lvl budget xD.

Thanks for your comment Rin. Im pretty new to Pathfinder and Pbping but not roleplaying but your comment boosted my confidence regarding the game. I was afraid my concept might be too...dull.

Going to bow out, sorry.

Here is my concept. If you have any questions I'll be happy to answer any.

Thank you.

Was directed to this thread. Statting out an invisible blade, as long as that isnt a problem?

Hello,

Would you be willing to bring in a noob? I can post once a day or more and I'm always lurking on the forums reading. I am new to Pbping though, and don't know much about Golarion. If you don't want to deal with that I understand.

I am in the EST Time zone (-5). Let me know if you are cool with bringing a newbie on and I can post to you my concept.

Thank you.

Looking to join a PF pbp game if possible. Never done a pbp game and would to try so please have patience.

If anyone has a free spot for a newbie to join their game I would appreciate it. Never done Pbp before but want to join badly.

Thank you.

Thanks guys.

So, going further, if i read correctly, this trait would replace my extra feat as a human? If it does, is it worth it?

Quote:

Sorcerer: Add one spell known from the sorcerer spell

list. This spell must be at least one level below the highest
spell level the sorcerer can cast.

Im having a stupid day. Could someone clarify this for me lol. Does this apply to each level spell and effectively increases level of spells known by one?

Quick, question. I plan on running my players through the Runelords campaign setting and a PC is going to be a dwarf cavalier. I think a wolf mount would be pretty bad ass for a dwarf. I dont think a standard wolf could handle a dwarf in full armor and other things could handle it. If I make it a dire wolf, would that be game breaking and a bit much for 1st level PC and encounters? I havent looked up mounts yet, and dont know if wolfs are available, but I know dogs are.

Hello, again. I wanted to pick at the brain of some of you here. I was wondering if I could get opinions on the best utility and combat spells for a sorc of each level. Maybe some tactics too. Any and all posts would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I just read through Master of the Fallen Fortress and will run that for them.

Kenderkin,

That was it, basically. The swordsmanship bothered him more than the linguist ability the Tengu also has. Honestly, Im not worried about his complaints about another players choice, which isnt all that game breaking in the least.

KenderKin wrote:

Explain to them how they can help you learn to DM by playing standard PC's.........

For non-standard PC's I would wait.....

Good luck.

So what about the tengu bothers you?

Other than its from the Beastiary thats about it. The swordsmanship training the Tengu has did strike a nerve with one of my other players.

KenderKin wrote:

Familiarize yourself with any classes that your PCs take, also feats.... I assume that they will select races/classes that you might not play yourself.....

Thats one thing I am dealing with now. My PCs tend to play beastiary characters. It took tooth and nail to deter one of my players from playing a gnoll. I have a player who is a Tengu rogue and a Aasimar cleric. The Aasimar doesnt bother me much.

I know if I tell them no beastiary characters they will not be interested otherwise. Its kind of annoying.

I assure you, you are no where near a wall of text. No need to apologize.

Second, it looks to me like you are off to a good start. Something you may want to consider is to make a small portion of your world, and wrap it in something generic (like golarion or greyhawk).

Thank you for your advice. I was looking into Golarion but all I find is Gnomes, Elves, Orcs, Gods of Golarion. Is there nothing written on the setting of Golarion itself or is it all topic centered?

Hello, I've been here nosing around for a few months and reading a lot of good content through these forums. Posted once or twice but nothing significant as of note. Anyhow, I'm tired of my GM flaking out for various reasons and decided I want to get into DMing.

I really want to play myself, but seeing as how nothing ever gets going and out of frustration I proclaimed I would DM. To keep my word, I bought a few PDFs: Core, APG, GMG, Armory. I plan on buying the actual hardcovers eventually.

My questions is where to start? I'm reading the core rules and GMG currently. I though making my own world would be a simple task but it proves daunting and more intricate than I expected. I read a few threads about running a published campaign, but money is tight for the next few months.

Anyhow, thank you and sorry for the wall of text.

Blayde MacRonan wrote:

Well I took some time to look through my purchased APG hardcover. And while I think there may be more that I can do as far as feat selection goes, I like what I have here. As always, comments are greatly appreciated.

** spoiler omitted **...

I'm new to the boards and I've been trolling around awhile gaining mass amounts of knowledge from everyone. I've finally got the courage to DM a game for some friends of mine and I love this version of Doom you created. Would you mind if I used him as the BBEG for my campaign?

Wow, these are great. We need some that deal with bombing stuffs. A Goblin Alchemist from the APG just sounds hilarious.
