Chagh leans into his brother and whispers,

"Abadar smiles on us, brother, sending us into our element. I am sure our dwarven brethren are also pleased. Be sure to take note of the group's reactions to the environment. I want to be ready if there is a repeat of the Glausis incident. The last thing we want during a rescue attempt is a claustrophobic with us."

After whispering in his brother's ear, Chagh tuns to the rest of the group and says,"Does everyone have a means of vision in the underground? My brother and I are able to see in the dark as are my dwarven brethren. However I am unsure of the rest of you. If we are expecting trouble it might be wise to keep light sources to a minimum. In combat surprise is often your best friend."

Ahh I do miss the company of dwarves. This should be an invigorating expedition.

"Well, now that we have dispersed with the pleasantries, let us be on our way. I believe garnering information from the local populace was on the order. And we also were going to see if we could find those drumish explorers."

Chagh removes his finger from his book, marking his place with a very long piece of stone that appears to have been smoothed and planed very thinly. He pulls an oblong leather case from his pocket and puts his reading glasses into the case. He pulls out another case, this one made of stone, and pulls out a pair of strange looking glasses with ruby red lenses.

"Lady Genever, do you mind if Chug and I accompany you in finding the Drumish men?

Putting a finger on the page he was reading and closing the book, Chagh turns to Genevar and Chug. He adjusts his glasses, puts his hands behind his back and begins to pace. His voice takes on a professotorial tone.

Genevar we are all butterflies creating ripples in the waters of life. Every action, no matter how small, is felt by the rest of the world. Abadar has chosen his servant well, for your dedicated pursuit of good ensures lawful trade is completed.

Chug, the paladin/anti-paladin argument is a weak one. Balance does not require symmetry. Much like the waters I mentioned earlier, balance ebbs and flows over time. As it flows, Abadar calls out to those whom he requires to maintain the flow of balance.

Of course one can be a proponent of an ethos without rabid pursuit. Take you and I, brother. Although our lives do not focus on questions of morality, most of our actions would adhere to what many consider good. We prefer to accomplish our goals using traditionally moral methods rather than traditionally "evil" methods. This doesn't mean we are rigidly neutral, always seeking to "balance the scales of morality". Our friend Genevar believes a pursuit of good serves both the law and balance. Abadar must also agree with her, else he would not imbue her with his gifts, which I assure you he has.

Genevar, my brother meant no disrespect. He merely was seeking to make conversation and was honestly intrigued because you are indeed the first dwarven paladin of Abadar we have encountered in our travels. My brother and I have a great fondness of our brethren dwarves."

Hmm it seems we have some very restless individuals. I will have to be careful lest Chug and I get swept away in a wave of hasty decisions. Thankfully we have some of our dwarven brethren with us to reign in the quick to action individuals.

As the two brothers enter the inn, Dalviss takes note that one has a book in hand and seems to be engrossed in reading. Even as the one brother greets the innkeeper, the other wanders over and sits at a table, his eyes never leaving the pages of his book.

After 5 more minutes of reading, the Oread looks up from his book, glances at the room and mutters,"Chug, when did we arrive here? And where is here?... OH! We've finally arrived at Dustpawn! Not really what I was expecting, but the inn here seems nice enough. Have you ordered us some honeycakes and bloodsausage?"

Mike, I will add a spell list for you this evening as well as the total gold spent on my items.


Alright! I have finished posting Chagh and all of his stats and gear. I may have forgotten one or two things. If that is the case, let me know and I will go in and make appropriate adjustments. I think I might have forgotten to add his age so I will check that shortly.

There are a couple of questions I do have on gear choices and whether you will allow them or not. I was looking at Holy Symbol, Tattoo and instead of a tattoo, I made a Holy Symbol, Fleshgem seated in my left palm. I hope that is ok. If not let me know.

I also chose several mithril mundane items. Since we have been traveling with dwarves, I thought that would be appropriate. They don't add anything from a mechanics standpoint and are totally flavor, same thing with the fleshgem, although I wouldn't mind having the ability in the past, present or future of enchanting the fleshgem to be a greater holy symbol.

I just wanted to add a little bit of flavor RE: the dynamic between the two of us. I am all on board with what you wrote. I was rally happy with the dwarven connection which makes a ton of sense with the build we chose.

The magistrate realized we really meant no harm however to pacify the nobles, he "exiled" us to "serve" the dwarves and their exploration team. We really should thank the man. He may be the shrewdest man I have encountered. With one act he quelled the ire of the nobles, put two misguided orphans on the path to a good life and earned the eternal gratitude of the dustpawn clan."

You are correct sir, although what Chagh knows may surprise you. I have changed a couple things around with his skills and traits than what is in the profile. I have everything ready, I just need to get home and post it. I was leaving our basic backstory up to zahir although he may not know that. If that is the case I will get something posted late Sunday evening or Monday morning. I am still in the field and only have my phone with me. Which means limited power supply and no character sheets.


Rather than confuse everyone, I chose a different avatar than my brother even though we are twins. Bookish may be too strong a term, but I certainly would rather be holding a book than my shield!
That's not to say I shrug away from a fight. I am just as eager to wade into combat behind my shield and at my brother's flank; healing and hurting depending on the needs at the time.
I am certainly the fairer looking of us, if that term can even be applied to one of our race. My brother tends to react more quickly and notice things more readily than myself, a byproduct of my. "Bookish" nature.

i will post more Sunday. I am currently in the field with limited comm ability and time.
