Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Cerelia feels that the advisor, General Atkins, may be one to look into closer. She takes the folio and begins to read.

More info on the good General , please

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Cerelia spends her time meditating and as is her wont, eating little. She tries to order her mind, for the coming days will put considerable pressure on the discipline her requires to hold back and control the power of the Warp.

Having found new clothes that help with the subterfuge in her room, Cerelia dons the fine accouterments; dangerous "jewels" included.

She joins the others in the front vestibule and joins Harlus in the landcar.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Feeling at little out of her element, Cerelia watches the tech-priest avidly collect her new technology. Hesitantly, then with surer purpose she follows Uriel's example and collects the same equipment she does, then grabs a couple extra grenades. Smiling, she steps back to watch the others.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Watching the others peruse the options, Cerelia says "I think I'll take some of the disguised grenades as well. Perhaps one of those concealed knives, I won't be able to hide mine. Hmm, I think that would be all, my compact las pistol will serve"

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Cerelia looks over the offered weaponry. She already possesses a compact laspistol, but if there are any that improve upon it she will take it.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

"I for one am ready to do the Emperor's will, but I fear that I will be recognized for what I am and cause undue attention. "

Not sure if Cerelia's sanctioning brand is concealable. Or alternatively will people recognize it for what it is."

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

"Is it uncommon to see sanctioned psykers on the staff of this planets' nobles?" Cerelia asks around a dainty mouthful of food

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Though proud of her Sanctioning mark, Cerelia realizes that it would give her away in any effort to pose as someone else.

"I would need some sort of cosmetics to disguise my Sanctioning mark. she says, reaching up to touch the Emperor's mark upon her cheek.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Walking into the dining hall, Cerelia is surprised by how dark it still is. Pausing in confusion, she shakes her head then takes a place at the table as Uriel questions their host.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Though the room provided was comfortable, Cerelia did not sleep well. Plagued by dreams, reliving her "failure" in the previous day's action, she found it necessary to rise a number of times and engage in some deep meditation exercises to calm her mind.

When dawn broke, Cerelia was relieved that the night was over, gathered her things and decended to the dining hall.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Cereila, shocked by the amount of blood pooled around Burgos' body, was hesitant to join in the looting of the guard's bodies. Finally she overcame her fears and descended, taking one of the smgs in her hands.

When Marris comes to take her to her room, Cerelia sighs inwardly in relief, a quiet place to meditate would be greatly appreciated.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Hearing their host's voice, Cerelia checks the scene outside the manor once more then moves to the top of the stairs.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Peeking over the window sill, Cerelia activates her micro-bead "Sitrep everyone. Are we all still in one piece?"

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Back against the wall, Cerelia closes her eyes and concentrates. Allowing her training to take over, she rises once more over the windowsill and targets one of the soldiers on the stairs.

Unnatural Aim (threshold:8) 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Las-Pistol
attack (BS36+30=66): 1d100 ⇒ 31
damage 1d10 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 - 1 = 2

Lunging back down under cover, Cerelia is relieved that she was successful, even if she only grazed the soldier.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Are the mercs still visible from Cerelia's vantage point?

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Taking a deep breath to calm herself, Cerelia remembers her training, tuning out the cacophony of shots and explosions from below.

Once again leaning out of her window, Cerelia focuses on a soldier below. Drawing upon the Warp, her perception once again narrows until he is all she sees.

Unnatural Aim (Threshold:8) 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Unfortunately her concentration falters and her vision returns to normal. Nonplussed, she attempts the shot.

Las-pistol (BS:36) 1d100 ⇒ 92

As expected her attack missed by a wide margin.
Ducking back into the window, Cerelia growls with frustration.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Me too.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Drawing her laspistol, Cerelia takes aim at one of the soldiers still outside. As she does so, she draws upon the Warp, it's chaotic nature tamed by her talent, her sight narrowing down upon the soldier, the clarity of his presense palpable within her mind.

Unnatural Aim (Threshold:8) 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Las Pistol (BS:36+30=66) 1d100 ⇒ 70

Cerelia cursed, even with the advantage of her connection with the Warp, she was unlucky and the soldier moved at the right moment, avoiding her shot.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Gazing down at the soldiers, Cerelia gathers her will and reaches "between" to her connection with the warp. Pulling its virulence to her, she "reaches" out to one of the soldiers and pours the warp energy into him.

Inflict Pain (Threshold:8) 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Soldier -10 on test if fails WP test

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Initiative 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

From her vantage point a the library window, Cerelia tries to identify one of the eight men that is a leader.

She then, grasping her psy-focus, focusses her Will inward , to the connection she has with the Warp; preparing herself to unleash its power.

Invocation (Will:46) 1d100 ⇒ 79

Cerelia curses, the armed men arrived too soon for her mediation to alievate the effects of the shuttle descent.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Over the microbead, Cerelia says "Correction. Eight unknowns may not be hostile, but appear to be very professional, armed and armored."

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

forgot to ask whether the grey shirts are imperial

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Touching her finger to her microbead, Cerelia says "Eight armed hostiles approaching the front of the building"

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

The sounds of gunshots startles Cerelia from her meditation. Rising she draws her pistol and moves to the library windows or balcony fronting the house. Once there she will carefully see if she can get a visual on the attackers.

Fusebox:

Anything from my psyniscience roll?

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

led to the library by Gunther, Cerelia tried to take notice of her surroundings.

Awareness (per:45/2=27+20=47) 1d100 ⇒ 36

Arriving at the library, she separates from the others and finds a secluded nook, surrounded on all sides by ancient tomes, she inhaled deeply of musty scent of knowledge and made her self comfortable on the floor.

Sitting crosslegged , Cerelia silently repeats the Mantra of Calm within her head. Allowing her awareness to skim the Warp, she tried to detect any anomalous psykic signatures.

Psyniscience (per:45) 1d100 ⇒ 27

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Watching their host leave, Cerelia turns to Gunther. "My need are simple. Access to a quiet room where I might meditate to center myself after our arduous descent ..."

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Crazy is as Heretic Does!

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

"Cerelia Vam. Recently Sanctioned as Imperial Psyker" Cerelia says confidently, holding out her hand.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Yeah that's what i do as well, had one too many alias profiles go bye bye on me.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Cerelia discards her air-sick bag, then rises unsteadily from her chair.

After a moment, she picks up her gear and follows the Skull.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

toughness (31+10:41) 1d100 ⇒ 62

Despite the calming mantra, the violent movements of the lander confuse Cerelia's vestibular senses. Feeling her gorge rising she fights against the violent g-forces to grab one of the airsickness bags.

The vomiting over quickly, the unpleasantness continues as the lander careens through the atmosphere.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Taking the offered gear, Cerelia takes a moment to rearrange what she was carrying. Nodding her thanks to the techpriest, she follows the aide down to the hangar.

Trying to follow the pilot's rapid-fire speech, the only thing meaningful she gleans was that the shuttle would depart in 10 minutes.

Walking to the lander entry ramp, she enters , stows her gear and takes a seat. Glancing over at Torald, she offers a shy smile then lays her head back and closes her eyes; a calming mantra running through her head.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Cerelia picks up one of the badges, turning about in her hands. She contemplates placing it on her necklace, the one her psy-focus hangs from, but no, ultimately pins it to the inside of her vest.

Nodding to the others, she leaves and picks up her gear then visits the armory. There she has the gun-mech check her pistol, ensuring that its resident spirits are well content. She then makes her way to the shuttle bay and awaits departure.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Cerelia frowns , tapping her finger on the table thoughfully "So the step-mother has created a militia-army? Conscript or volunteer? Does she hold more sway over the populace than the son? Also, in which camp has your agent sequestered themselves?"

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Looking up from the dataslate after is made its was around to her, Cerelia asks "Does the Inquisition have any preference for the true heir or the treacherous step-mother?"

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)

Walking toward the bridge, Cerelia isn't surprise when a crew member notices her sanction mark and suddenly veers away from her. A slight smile twitches her mouth, their fear is well founded for if her Will had faltered on the journey through the Warp....

With a shake of her head, she thought Such thought are heresy, The Emperor has need of me I will not fail!

Arriving at the bridge, Cerelia advances to the table, already filled by the other Acolytes. With a nod to Volt, she stands before her chair "Greetings fellow Acolytes, I am Cerelia Vam, Imperial Psyker, recently Sanctioned." she says turning her face so all can see the Sanction Mark embedded there. "I serve the Emperor in all things, I serve the Inquisition, I serve thee" she says formally, looking each Acolyte in the eye then sits down in her chair.

Sustaining: Inflict Pain (9)
