The only reward for a GM of any importance is to hear directly/indirectly from your players that a game(s) that you ran were amazing. I've run into people years later, who stated "holy s@+&, you ran X for us in PFS/LG/LC" 1-5-10yrs later.

Another successful PaizoCon, come and gone. I had a great time running games with the added bonus of somehow not losing my voice. Highlight was the use of meat flavored snow cones to bribe hungry goblins into behaving.

The Grand Convocation was a blast. Those wimpy Hellknights were too afraid to cross logs at dawn with Mak Brawney, Champion of the Arena. Perhaps a dueling table off in the corner next year.

My melee druid for PFS (Mak Brawney, Logger, Taldor's Champion) is currently Barb1/Druid6 with the same base stat array. He has extra rage, power-attack, heavy armor(for the wild enhancement), and step up. At the lower levels, Shillelagh is your friend. Once you get elemental body, go with a reach weapon/air elemental (fly 60, perfect) or improved grapple/earth elemental (earth glide surprise).

Giant Octopus. Mix in fly/levitate with that 20ft reach, or party buffs, and you have a crazy combat machine. I was able to solo lv +3 encounters as a arcane heirophant in LG.
With the 3p revision spelling out available abilities, it looks like Roper is no longer an option for the higher level beast shape, the (ex) ability to shoot 6 strands under 3.5 to sap str per hit was also effective.

I'm in for some seafood this year; easier now that the new office is a short jaunt up the road.

Ooooo; Mak Brawney is intrigued by the call for more beer and personal injury and will show up for another convocation. Mak is very happy to drink and beat fellow pathfinders into oblivion. Mak thinks that the next convocation should be held in the woods between Taldor and Andor, at one of the logging shows that made Mak so big and strong.

If he wants to play a skirmishing (ie spring attacking monk), I would suggest a slight rebuild aiming towards shadow dancer. A stealthy monk with hide-in-plain-sight doesn't deal the damage that a stand up fighter can, but can often easily take an encounter solo.

I'd be up for driving down for this; the only caveat is that my logger is only 3rd lvl.

I haven't heard otherwise, so I'm assuming that this Saturday at Games and Gizmos is still a go (for pt4 and maybe pt5). I'll get a hold of Mike D to car pool down.

I'm a maybe for the 13th as well. I'll post on the local yahoo group to see if Doug, Craig or Tavis are interested in playing or judging. We can all caravan down from Bham as well.

Once LG wraps up, I'm planning on focusing on Pathfinder Society. There are at least 3-4 people up here in Bham who have expressed interest in judging Society adventures.
