Appearance: Cazlin Summerweft or Cazlin the Sphinx-cursed , as he's better known in his home town, is a young halfling with a fairly unsettling appearance. His skin is cracked and dry, giving off the appearance of scales. His short cropped hair is unnaturally bright red, like the plumage of some exotic bird.
Personality: Since joining with the Pathfinder Society, Cazlin's early experiences have been fraught with danger and double-crossing. This, combined with his curse, have turned him reticent, wary and nervous. When he begins riddling however, he becomes calm, eloquent, and peaceful until he's done. It is satisfying to give in to the curse, but also profoundly embarrassing.
Background: In his first adventure to an ancient tomb in Osirion, he tripped a trap, fell into a deep pit, and found himself face to face with the ghost of a sphinx that once guarded the tomb. That spirit cursed him with magics intended to turn him into a sphinx and resume the protection of the tomb, but the magics had become far too weak over the passing centuries. Instead he merely gained a scaly, flaky skin condition, a nervous and jumpy personality, and a mandate to speak in rhymes and riddles. He survived the experience and now seeks out powerful enough magic to free himself from the curse.
Of course, its tough getting employment if you answer every question with another question. The only group that were willing to hire him were the Scarab Sages. And even they did more out of curiosity than any belief in his skills.
