"I wouldn't mind stopping by the cypher lodge and questioning some of the mages. Or, perhaps some information might be gleaned by a bit of tactful eavesdropping around the lodge itself." Cavan sips his wine.

To the bloke "You can put it under Prylfellow

Cavan politely asks the waitress if she will run a tab for the party.

Diplomacy Check= 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Cavan greets Cephadrel warmly and orders an ale. The sign indicating that no cypher mages are allowed worries him though.

Cavan spies Eroril and Kozaric, and attempts to catch up with them

Acrobatics Check=1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Cavan is caught by the waves, but he tries to maintain his footing from the onslought

Cavan decides to accept Ironlegs invitation and attend the cage match as well.

Cavan is just acclimating to his new post as head of entertainment, and maybe trying to hire new help.

"Entertainment Director would be fine." Cavan beams at the prospect of being able to earn some extra funds in Riddleport.

Sorry for the delay. Work was busy and I wasn't able to get to the computer yesterday.

This first part will have happened earlier

As Cavan sits and chats with his new friend, he overhears that the owner of the casino has invited the remaining patrons up to his office for a drink. Cavan excuses himself from his conversation and follows the other patrons up to the man's office.

In the office

Cavan, hoping that the casino owner doesn't realize he was blinded on the floor throughout the encounter, realizes that this is his chance to acquire funding for his cypher research. He readily accepts the man's offer.

Cavan smiles and regains his composure when approached by the succubus. He smiles and says, "Only if you let me buy."

Cavan stands rubbing his eyes. He looks around as his vision clears. Across the room he sees that security has overcome the offending members of the failed heist. Having experienced enough action for his first evening in Riddleport, he heads towards the exit and out onto the street of Riddleport.

Cavan continues to hide.

Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

I think this is my last round of being blinded; correct me if I'm wrong

Still blinded by the magical fireworks display, Cavan remains in his hiding place trying to regain his vision.

Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Initiative=1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Having been blinded by the spell, Cavan tries to hide beneath a table near him.

Stealth=1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Having finished his conversation, Cavan goes by the bar and grabs another drink. Then decides to investigate the place more closely. He wanders the perimeter of the room examining the ins-and-outs of the casino.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I got called in to work and I didn't get home until late last night.

To the succubus "My name's Cavan by the way; I'm new in town. Maybe you could tell me a bit about Riddleport."

Cavan: "Honestly, the Devil's Mark sounds more to my liking; I'm not a gambling man. I just came for the show. Actually I just got into Riddleport earlier this afternoon, and I thought it might be an interesting show." Cavan pauses to sip his drink. "I've come in pursuit of arcane knowledge. I'm Cavan by the way. Are you a native of Riddleport?"

I will mostly be able to post in the mornings, and late evenings PST.

Cavan is far more interested in the beautiful succubi attendants, and the devil in the cage than he is in the gambling. He grabs his wine and wanders over to the nearest succubus and tries to start a conversation. While smiling and trying to be charming, he says, "So, which precise ring of hell is it that you're from again?"

Diplomacy Roll: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

To Kurth, "Indeed. It should certainly help to mollify the sting of any potential losses as well I should dare say." Finishes his ale, and asks the bartender if he has any wine.

Cavan is sitting casually at the bar when Eroril walks up. He notices the dwarf from outside and tries to make small talk. he says, "It's something to see in here, eh?"

Cavan saunters casually into the Goblin. First he makes a preliminary stroll through the major portions of the casino, and then having taken in the giant spectacle, he finds his way to the bar and orders a drink. Afterwards, he settles into a nondescript location and prepares to enjoy watching the evenings entertainment.

Cavan is not going to gamble so it doesn't matter to me at all.

To the Girl: There are two things in life you should never trust, m'lady; the first is a gambling man, and the other is a big, dark, supernatural scar in the sky that comes out of nowhere" smiles wide trying to lay on the charm.

Upon realizing that the casino has not properly opened for business, Cavan recoils back from the door. Having noticed that the beautiful casino girl is looking in his direction he heads over and makes small talk, "So, are they in there stacking the tables in their favor? If we stay out here too long that blot up there might unleash all hell on us."

"Cavan Prylfellow's the name. And you are?"

Having arrived in Riddleport just this morning, Cavan spent the late afternoon perusing the city streets, taking in the sights and smells of the city. As the day waned, he decided that it might be entertaining to attend the gambling tournament that he had heard so much about, so he departed for the Wharf district of town in order to satisfy his piqued curiosity.

As he ascends the steps to The Gold Goblin Gambling Hall, he smiles and blushes at the beautiful women at the top of the staircase before entering the spectacle that is occurring inside.

You know what, scratch the great Blot motivation. Cavan came to Riddleport hoping to study the ciphers. He is a mediocre scholar who has yet to produce anything worthwhile, so he has travelled to Riddleport with hopes of making a name for himself and earning prestige as a bard.

Looks like we have a full posse whenever Megan is ready to fire things up...

Looking forward to it.

OK, this is DeLeon. I updated Cavan's character sheet to include a Second Darkness feat, and I made a forum alias for the character. Basically Cavan is a bard who heard of the great Blot in the sky, and he has come to investigate with hopes of discovering some secret knowledge that will make him famous.
