Hi there, all!

Can I just ask the GM to mark the game as inactive, since it's mostly just blocking space on my Campaigns page.

Thanks, and it's been a pleasure playing with you all!

Castor hides in the nearest convenient spot, Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16, and begins studying the men, mostly weaponry, and attempts to eavesdrop on their conversation, Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 raising his fist in a sign to keep the others quiet. He then marks the targets to Jorizer and himself, taking the one that appears to be the most dangerous.

If Initiative is needed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Castor leans on his spear and whispers to the rest, "Should we go and do some spelunking? If it's bandits on the roads, it would do them a favour to, you know, die and leave us their plunder. Also keeping the roads safe and other whatnots. I suggest I go and sneak on ahead while it's still relatively bright. If it's something scary, I'll come running and screaming for you. Glorious Leader, you can come with me, and the armoured people can be about sixty paces behind us."

Castor draws his spear and begins sneaking slowly ahead,
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

"Glorious leader!", shouts Castor, showing the tracks to Jorizer. "I think we should check those out. Me and you are probably the sneakiest people in here, so I'd suggest leaving our more... clanking companions to watch over the others. Also, we got longer legs."

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Aid Another on Jorizer for Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 Hah. That'd be fun.

Castor keeps moving forward, trying to sneak. His more...urban experience wakes up, however, and he fails to see anything Jorizer doesn't.

If Castor doesn't find anything, Castor takes a long look around, skulking in the bushes. About half an hour later he pops up, right next to Jake and Davco, saying, "You know, we really should probably pay more attention." Leaning on his spear, he continues. "I was going to suggest we head onwards towards our goal, and take the wounded guy with us. If need be, we either run with him, or just kick him in the shins if a bear attacks us. I think it's a significantly better plan than kicking about in the forests in the middle of the day, wasting time. But hey, you don't have to listen to me."

Laughing, but understanding the party's notion, Castor says, in a sarcastic tone, "You know what they say. It's not proper Lastwall hospitality until you've been strip-searched. Also, just saying, this one,", he says, pointing to Jake, "managed to feed an orc his own arm, so I'd be careful." he finishes with a smile, then begins sneaking around, looking for any other people that aren't bleeding out.

Well, if someone was setting an ambush, I'd assume they wouldn't let a guy disarmed and bleeding under the tree, but hey, people do it differently here., he thinks, drawing a spear as he kneels in the bushes.

Castor looks at the man, and Jorizer questioning him, sighing. "Brother! Come heal this poor soul. It's much easier to ask someone questions after they're dead, you know.", he says, completing the sentence facing Jorizer.

"Which way did they go? Did they came from the road? What's your name?", asks Castor in an inquisitive manner as soon as the man is healed.

Ah, the usual 'scare someone to life' method. Classic orcs., thinks Castor, as Jorizer draws his big knife.

Noticing the blood drops, Castor raises his hand in the air, gesturing for the conversation to seize. He then points to Jake to go for a flanking maneuver, and begins creeping towards the bush.

If only we could have more people wearing heavy armor. That'd make us even more noticeable..., thinks Castor, while drawing his longspear, going behind the bush.

"You know, glorious leader, what if they expect us to expect them to ambush the road and they ambushed the forest instead? We should expect them to expect us to expect them for ambushing the forests, after all.", says Castor, giving his fake smile at the half-orc, leaning on a wall.

As Jake and Davco exit, he energetically pushes himself off the wall, grabs his spear and says, "No time losing daylight. We can't all see in the dark, plus we get to see the sights! Glorious forests of... trees and stuff... Screw that.", he says, noticing the usual reception of his bad jokes, and marches down the stairs.

Castor hums a tavern tune quietly, standing in the back, looking at the spears in the armory. Seeing one of substantially better make than the others, he focuses on it for a bit. He then analyzes the keep for obvious flaws that could be exploited by assassins, and resumes looking at the conversation.

So much redundancy... Why do we need to give a report orally, after we handed the note... Less time in the field, more time in the pub...

Castor lets the others go in the building first, and then says, "Armories. I like those."

Castor sits in the R&R area, and puts his feet on the table. Turning to Ragrimm, he says in a joyful tone, "You know, Ragrimm, the economy of alcohol in free-roaming parties such as ours drives everyone insane. Wine for you and me, yes?" he says, waving at the person responsible for the drinks. "So, I'm buying now, with the secret desire in my heart never to have to do it again. As we say in the old country, as we raise our glasses. Let's drink!" He takes the mug of wine, puts some water in it, and drinks it down as quickly as he can.

"So, anyone feel like sharing a personal moment? It's as good a time as any, we could be some orc's personal slave this time tomorrow?", he continues in his usual tone.

Castor looks at the Captain, and nods when he's done with his instructions. "Permission to leave, Sir?" When given the order, Castor waves at Jake and Twiks, and leaves to the boozer. "Come on, orcslayers, it's time to buy me a drink. Or I'll buy ya one. Or, as I'm suspecting, it's free, but rationed..." He waits for everyone and goes to get something to drink before retiring for the night.

-------------

In the place for rest, Castor asks, "So, what are the odds of us getting horses for the trip there? Or are we hoofing it ourselves?", Castor seems relatively happy, relatively being the keyword.

Turning to Jake, Castor salutes ironically, and says, "Whatever you say, boss. Just don't try and have too many leaders in the same place. Trust a Galter about that." Last two sentences sound a bit too serious for Castor.

"Real mature. What are you, 10?", says Castor, after the gnome casts the spell. It does technically have a vocal and somatic component, Twiks, but I get the point. It's nothing personal, though :)

Castor then waves at the others and goes off to Captain Ortez's place, waving for the others to follow.

Waving at the guards at the door, Castor salutes, "It's the scouting party reporting in. We got a greenskin ready to be questioned, he should be in the dungeon right about now. Alive and relatively well, but if I'm granted permission to speak freely, I was cooking last night, so I can't guarantee the well part. Permission to talk to the Captain now, sirs?" All of it is said in a slightly too trying military voice.

"Glorious leader, how's our other green friend doing this morning? Didn't suffocate on his own tongue or something?"

Jake then jumps up and moves away from the praying people, doing some walking around the area, and doing some morning exercise.

[ooc]How do I check the ropes on the prisoner? Sleight of Hand? If I can take 10, that's a result of 18, and I can get help."[/b]

"I suggest we tie our newfound companion from the waist up, and have him walk after us, with some rope around his legs to prevent him from running. Unless you want to carry him somehow. If we split him in the middle, me and Soldier-man can probably carry a half each?", says Castor, going to inspect the ropework on the prisoner, blowing him a kiss on the way there.

Sitting next to Ragrimm, Castor says, "Well, the boys are doing alright, I think. Wonder if they are going to finish with the orc soon. That's just an excuse not to use a perfectly good campfire and cook dinner. I'll cook my special "Trail Ration Souffle", and you could go to check what's around the camp? Nice, Twiks. Castor was going to suggest waterboarding, but he enjoys that idea more.

Castor turns to Twiks and says, "Oooh. You're crazy, you little gnome. I'm going to take a step back now."

Turning to the orc, Castor whispers,

Orcish:
"I'd be careful if I were you, greeny. This one is a gnome. They're a race of evil, evil cannibals and this one has just said he never eaten an orc before. Answer fast and truly."

Intimidate: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19

Sitting next to Ragrimm, Castor says, "So, you didn't like your own folks, ye? At least yours are capable of something, and don't think with their a&&#!&+s. I do agree about the purpose, it'd be a shame to let all these orcs go around un-lightning-ed, now, wouldn't it."

"He is literally right over there, in case you forget, glorious leader." Castor points at the bound orc theatrically.

"I'd suggest we set up a watch, if we aren't going to move tonight. In case, you know, we wake up dead due to an acute orc invasion. I'd question him now, but I'm not the most inquisitive of people." Castor goes around and collects his spears, then sits down, cleans and sharpens them. He tries to make as much noise as possible at first, but as he gets a couple of stern gazes, quiets down.

He then goes and tries to start a conversation with Ragrimm. "You know, you aren't the most typical dwarf. You haven't mentioned gold, mining, or ale since I met you, and you aren't even wearing full plate. What drove you to our valiant band of valiant paragons of valiance? Don't tell me it's a cliche like 'having to fight the orc invasion' and completely ruin my impression of you."

I'll probably tone down the abrasiveness a bit later on, if it's too much, do tell me, please.

Even when I said non-lethal? EDIT: I rechecked the Non-lethal Damage thing on the d20. It says:

Kickin' them when they're down:
If a creature's nonlethal damage is equal to his total maximum hit points (not his current hit points), all further nonlethal damage is treated as lethal damage. This does not apply to creatures with regeneration. Such creatures simply accrue additional nonlethal damage, increasing the amount of time they remain unconscious.

Castor checks for a pulse, and when he finds none, he says, "Huh. Thought orcs are tougher than that..."

The player apologises, truly. The character doesn't.

Castor ducks under the swing, and tries to move behind him for a kidney punch.

Orcish:
"Is this a female orc? Can't really tell them apart, to be fair."

He does a low kick, trying to twist the knee.

Scorpion Style, non lethal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage: 2d3 + 8 ⇒ (2, 3) + 8 = 13

Mid-swing, he reveals his faint, and turns around, heeling the orc in the face.

"Woah. And then they said we need weapons."

He rubs his heel, hurting from the tusk of the orc, and picks up his spear.

"So, glorious leader, I got your guts-spelling instructions, but they were unclear, got my foot stuck in an orc. Who wants to question him? He's just taking a small nap right now, but I'm not promising he won't be lisping when he's up." Castor gives Jorizer a sly grin.

Sigh, I love this character and his unnecessary abrasiveness.

Yeah, it makes sense to me, and I can't imagine it either. I could see a javelin toss, olympic games style, be a two-handed attack, since you need the other arm as well, and you can't use a possible shield with that... When are we reporting back?", says Castor, picking his thumbnail on the edge of his spear.

Castor looks at the group and says, "Oh, isn't that adorable... Us all working together against the orcs. Let's all hold hands now. Name's Castor, by the way.", waving at them.

"It's because it's considered to be a fun combination of sounds, while most other races use names who are more on the... heroic side.", says a tall man with an obviously fake smile on his face. You can't say if he is annoyed by something in front of him, or that's his normal resting face. Tall, blondish and rather handsome, his body language suggesting that he probably thinks less of you for some reason. He is in full-gear, carrying a quiver of spears across his back and one in his hand with blunted edges.

"Come on, my short-legged friends, let's see what his Captainhood wants."

Posting as Castor, an ex-Galtsman, expatriated for being a competent man in Galt.

Good Luck all in getting selected!
