"Welcome, brethren. The Pathfinder Society does indeed field agents from among the ranks of the Crusaders.

Those of us who are lifelong Crusaders are permitted to be Pathfinder Agents by leave of Queen Galfrey - a longtime supported of the Society. Our purpose in being Pathfinders is to discover new methods by which we can defeat the Worldwound and its horrors, and to protect our fellow agents."

OOC: Yes, you most certainly can be. So long as you can answer the question "Is there a good reason for my character to be a Pathfinder Agent?" with "Yes" you can have any backstory that you would like, in fact!

A powerfully-build man arrives, heavy armor not polished or gleaming but rather stained with months-old dried blood, and yet still in a solid state of repair. Cold iron and adamantine weapons bristle about his frame, and parts of his armored kit look like they were fused with demon horns and claws.

Removing his helm reveals two horns of his own that the helmet was built around. His visage is at once fearsome and yet still humble of bearing. He addresses those still present with a Mendevian accent with just a hint of Brevoy in his vowels.

"Greetings, brothers and sisters. I am Castigar, named Silver Crusader of Vengeance. Missives from Venture-Captain Jorsal of Lauterbury suggested that there may be new work in the offing for Seekers such as myself. Just as Pathfinder agents have spent time here and there serving the Mendevian military, so too do Mendevian Crusaders come to do service for the Decemvirate. How fare things here in Absalom? How fare all of you?"

The contributions of our fellow Pathfinders to the Mendevian Crusades - in effect - the cause of protecting the whole of Golarion, has been strong and noteworthy. Those of you who, like I, have moved on to become Seekers are welcome to return to Mendev in service at any time - you will be welcomed with honor as brothers and sisters in arms.

Thanks to the help of the society, we still man the watchtowers and wardstones. Sleep well knowing that you helped us make it this far, and that we will continue thus until the wound is no more!

Better for those who are stalwart in defense of others or the prosecution of destruction upon the evils that stand against the Society to be held in brighter light than they wish, than for those who hold such graces to squander them and bring them low.

If you are a follower of Iomedae, there is a hands-slot item that lets you use weapons as a divine focus, I believe :)

Excellent - a way to learn about those I hunt, stalk, and kill!

Hey, my herald only has a mop and a kazoo. He *does* manage to keep my armor shiny, at least, which has proven to be a challenge for the little guy, given how often I fail Acrobatics checks and fall into standing sewer water.
