I am so sorry for your loss Thaumascrouge/Lady lao.

Please take as long as you need.

Ooops. I assumed the number was the same for my regular PFS character and my PBP character. Currently working out how to register Aurora to get that number. Sorry!

I've committed myself to way too many things this weekend, but if everyone is ready I can restart the game on the 19th instead. We'll just have to wait for Carly to submit her character sheet.

Did you realise you originally said 25th of May - you've cut yourself down a week!

Either or, I'll be ready by the 19th, so whenever you are ready is all good!

I also skimmed everyone's character sheets the other day and did a bit of an audit to see what skills would be missing, so that would help. But it was mostly what has been said.

I can have a chat to Batpony re: how I'll enter the party. It will be a cute little surprise for when we come back.

He didn’t speak. Not even when a Bottle Lightning Lesser was sitting comfortably in his hand.

Also, I just want to take a sec to have a giggle at this line. I know this is just prep incase things went south. But the specificity in this line sent me lol.

Apologies, I have had some work stuff and have been away from my computer.

Thank you for doing the comparative for us! and doing the roll.

I guess in this instance, I'm sure our characters would know who was the most persuasive - since they've been listing to each other convince the Poppets all over the dollhouse.

I'm going to aid. I could also do the Fascinating Performance thing, but it would be weird to just start dancing in front of the Warden after breaking down the door lol.

Okay dokes. I think like everyone has suggested, fighter + exemplar dedication at level 2 sounds good.

Thank you for mentioning the player guide, I didnt even think to look! I was awkwardly fumbling through AoN and the wiki trying to work out what ancestries were relevant. Keeping with the animal theme, I think the setting allows for nagaji, tengu, or ysoki/ratfolk as well.

Thank you for the advice!
The other problem with the Kitsune, is that is skill is charisma, which is probably going to be my dump stat here. But I'll wait until Jing gets back and see if there is a fun tie-in on their background. (Also, if they are cool with that. I don't want to horseshoe them into something when there are plenty of other choices).

I was thinking about it the other night, and I also love the idea of being a little feral forest child and a guard holding me by the scruff of the neck and saying "this is your problem now". Very San from 'Princess Mononoke' vibes, but its a bit of a deus ex machina.

The monk/war cleric was only because that is already what I play elsewhere. But @lady Lao, you are right about Monk, I think I just dumped the wisdom because I didn't want to learn the qi system. So maybe not that lol.

I thought war cleric/champion because of the 4 free heals/lay on hands, and access to the divine spell list/vitality damage could be useful in this campaign?
However, I've just looked up the deities that favor naginata users, and they're both Harm font (one also had a S.O.G spoiler tag, so I didn't read it). Plus I already main a cleric, so I should try something else!

So I think I'm settled on a fighter that has a field medic/herbalist/or plague doctor background.

I do like the exemplar archetype, but I'll wait for Batpony's ruling first. Otherwise, I could pick up something that allows me divine spellcasting or battle medicine.

All good. I was thinking a fighter, but taking into account that wisdom stat, maybe a champion, or dare I even say (another) monk or war-priest cleric?

Thanks for the breakdown Zhenzi.

You're welcome.

Welcome to the campaign, new player. (Does our new player have a profile name that starts with the letter C? :).

The only (non-mechanical) suggestion I have is her choosing an ancestry that can appear as human but is not, which could add to the 'Your real form looks like an animal too?!" to add to that theme of our group of local heroes.

I wonder if the new hero is going to appear from one of Shinzo's carts... :)

I have family coming into town over the next couple of days so might not get opportunity to check the boards as frequently as I typically do, and potentially some other days over the next week.

What a good guess! haha

Yes - Batpony asked me and I thought I'd tag along. I'm still reading all the previous posts, and need to make a character.

So I'm very happy to play a frontliner. Since I haven't started making one, I am open to suggestions/will need a bit of help to work out whats missing/what can be slot into the story right now. Just nothing too mechanically challenging, because I'm still very new to pathfinder and pbp. I play a monk and a cleric elsewhere, and not super keen on heavy spellcasters, so I think a frontliner would be good.

But I also love the idea of being an animal person to make a cool animal party, but will need some help finding one. Or maybe a druid that can shift? (I'm not sure what the pathfinders version of Wildshape is)

(As a joke) Batpony enticed me to join by mentioning I'd be able to play a kitsune, because he knows that a fox girl with a naginata is my dream character atm lol. But, the party has one, and I want to save it until I have a better concept than just vibes

Hey Friends - I got excited to start my new character so I have already posted. But I think it is good if people are planning characters around what else if already filled.

I currently (~in a real-life game~) play a Cleric with a high Wis/Int/perception, and as much as I love handing out +1s like Oprah and being a squishy know-it-all with the rizz of a brick, I wanted to play with something very different.

So I've gone with a Monk. I plan on being a front liner, and playing with the attack-adjacent actions/combat manoeuvres (shove, grapple, trip, perform-I have a skill for this one, ect.)

Excited to see how everyone goes!

I am She! Lovely to meet you all and excited to have a go at PBP!
