I'm here. I was ready to give up.

Cari doozes off, but doesn't let herself fall into full sleep. She hates this spycraft, but she's good at it. This is going to be a long lightning coach ride if no one talks.

"Alright, we've got a plan. I'm not willing to discuss my past or opinions, and I doubt anyone else is either." Cari sighs"Does anyone have a conqueror or card set?"

"Drinking can be pleasant, but I try to avoid it on the job."

Cari stays away from the drinks. She warns her allies: "Don't drink too much. It would blow our cover to show up smelling like drunks."

"A house Sivis gnome might give us some legitimacy, or could scare him away. It's a delicate balance with a con like this." Cari is in her element now. "We need to convince him that we are impartial, but not so impartial that we'll turn him over. The trick will be to seem greedy, but not bold."

Spectre nods thoughtfully. "A child might not mesh with our story, but perhaps you can use that hat of yours to turn into a gnome or a halfling. Unless you'd rather hide in my extradimensional bag with a snorkel until things go south." As they speak, they rummage through various drawers in the coach. "And you, Moonraker? It would be an honor to call you my co-counsel, if that suits you."

Moonraker takes a ring. "Co-counsel it is, then."

"If we pose as buyers, we might find ourselves fighting off the other buyers. But if we pose as a barrister, there's a better chance of getting Mr. Big alone."

"Well, I plan to enjoy the luxuries of a private cabin. But let's avoid splitting up until Spectre is done gathering information."

It seems as through Spectre left little out, although Cari suspects there's more to Goldeneye then meets the eye. Cari decides to trust her companions for now, at least. "My main talent is singing, although I served in a drummer corp during the war. My music brings out the best in people, both on the battlefield and elsewhere."

She draws her rapier. "I'm also very skilled with the rapier, and capable with a small group of weapons, including my shortbow."

She uses Prestidigitation to clean her blade before returning it to the scabbard. "I'm good with magic, although not as much as Spectre, I suspect. I know some healing magic and a variety of useful tricks."

"And, of course, I'm good at convincing people to do what I want. Whether by good graces or bad influence, I can usually get people to go along with something." She flashes the smile of a changling for just a moment. I'm a master of disguise, as well. I was undercover for a long time during the war."

She pauses for a second, then adds "One last thing, enemy spellcasters have a hard time near me. I'm very good at striking in the moment they're vulnerable. In a fight, I'm likely to charge for a spellcaster and leave you to focus on their minions, big guy." she gestures to Goldeneye.

A request to list their capabilities. Should Cari share that she's a changling? These don't seem like the type to judge, but perhaps that might let it slip back to the people who know her? Or what if one of them turns out to be a double agent? Better to keep something to herself, then. Cari decides to let the others speak first.

Moonwaker steps in and begins looking through the clothes. "How do we want to do this? Shall we be thieves, Con men, thugs? We should look the part. I'd prefer con men style, we can switch to violent thievery later."

"Well, as lovely as spending time with you is, Q. I'd just as soon be going."

"Hmm...We'd best get going." Cari dreams of being one of the most important people in Breland.

" Plenty of time" Cari Smiles.

"Oh, nice. I heard a story like that once." She slips it on. "Turning invisible? I'll get some use out of that. How long does it last?"

Cari lets the others have their turn, then asks "Hello, Q. I'm Moonraker. What do you have for me?"

"Let's get going" Cari says.

"That's risky without a sample of his voice." Moonraker speaks with some experience."Worth trying, I suppose."

Moonraker doesn't speak up at first. All this talk of infiltration. Should she reveal she's a changeling? It's ended badly before, but her allies might need to know. She chooses to stay quiet for now.

The dossier says he's a gnome that is an illusionist. But he knows some spells of the transmutation/alteration school of magic, particularly change kind (works like the Changeling ability, but doesn't last as long). He carries daggers, though his favorite weapon is a rapier. One thing about him is that he isn't House Sivis. They do have some of his blood, if that helps.

Does change kind let him change his height to medium?

"I'd prefer to get going, we can chat on the ride." Cari "Moonraker" doesn't care much for refreshments. " Maybe we can get our drinks to go."

"Moonraker" Cari says, resigned to her fate.

Cari raises her hands and lowers her head, saying nothing.

He was observing a phenomenon that other vintners throughout California have been witnessing repeatedly over the past few years: Grapevines are natural fire breaks. And though they are not capable of stopping a fire like Kincade in its tracks, they may be saving structures and even lives.

"Or more likely, he'll run away while we waste time with petty arson. Lighting things on fire is not the solution to all our problems. She sighs. "Also, not that it matters, but grape vines are natural fire stops. They burn very slowly, if at all."She turns back to GQ. "I, at least, assume I was brought in to handle this with stealth."

"Alright bring in Mr. Big" Cari's tone suggests that she does not take the gnome seriously. And how could she, with such a ridiculous name? "dead or alive?" She asks.

"oh, well, that's a different case. I'm certainly interested in helping the king." Off his throne, she thinks, but she has no love for those who steal state secrets, and the money would let her help a lot of people in Ardev. She wonders what the Special proclamations were.

"I was out of this life, and you called me back for this? Not a job that threatens Breland, but running errands for a House? If a House has a problem, let them solve it themselves. I don't see why this concerns Breland or me?" Cari thought she had left the spy life behind. Please do give Cari a reason to join in. Money works or a threat to Breland

Cari picks up a dossier. "Does he have a Sivis dragonmark?"

"Interesting"Cari wonders why the citadel would trust communications that Sivis could monitor. Something seems wrong here. "How long ago was it taken?"

"This speaking stone, it was linked to one other stone? or many? Have the others on the stone been warned?"

Cari gives Opi a look, but she knows appearances can be deceiving. "Greeting Opi, and to you, and to you, our warforged friend, What can we call you?"

"Hello. I'm Cari Delmire, and it's a pleasure to meet you, as well."

Cari is disguised as her normal human face, what she thinks of as herself. She hopes she won't have to reveal her changeling identity to whoever these people are. She's wearing armor that doesn't fit as well as it used to. She's put on a little weight since the end of the war. She looks around the room. "I'm not interested in a drink. I need to get back to Ardev. There are people there who need my help. Let's just get this over with."

What are we doing for Hit Points? Rolling? Taking average?
