About Captain Coulson
Captain Coulson is dressed in a courtier's black frock coat with gold frogging and dazzling white frilled cravat. He carries a beautiful double barrelled pistol in his belt. An adamantine rapier hangs by his side and you may catch a glimpse of a shiny mail shirt from under his long black coat. He lays down his tricorn hat on the bar and calls for Grog in a bewildering medley of seadog slang that confuses the barmaids who then serve him a nice glass of milk. Many drinkers in the tavern whisper the name of the bloodthirsty pirate, "Captain Coulson", who raided and reaved up and down the Chelish coast before disappearing thirty years ago. What fearsome villain is this? Well, it's his son. The blood of piracy runs thick in his veins but he was encouraged by his retired father to pursue a sensible career in banking in the city of Magnimar. His career in banking has been far from illustrious but he did achieved the role of manager in a small local branch. Unfortunately his skill in mathematics didn't equal his skill in Bluff, and when Bluff ran out he was accused of embezelling the funds of the local guild. He decided that discretion was the better part of valour and left with a mere 150 golden doubloons and his father's ancient double barelled pistol and rusty rapier to start his career as a pirate far away in the Shackles. His tolerance for grog comes from the same practice. His Sailor Profession come from sailing around the bay with his Dad on Sundays. His Intimidation and Bluff skills come from dealing with gullible old ladies in the local bank.
