Hi all, I have a witch that just leveled up ( first familiar class for me) but when I went to level the familiar up it only gave me class options I.e. witch fighter etc and not Fox. Is this correct, a bug or do I have a setting off?


So now here is potentially a dumb question if the Dex does not stack due to aa does ff allows you to add your strength bonus back since it allows you to use both on a trip.


Ok so I came across this old thread while trying to make a trip build. It occurs to me that if aa adds dex to all of your cmb ( pick any of them trip disarm grapple etc) then it would appear that aa is not adding to trip specifically. My main argument for ff granting a dex bonus to trip is that it is not calculated into cmb but rather would be a bonus that stacks with improved and greater trip. So say your cmb is 14 with aa then with improved trip your trip attack is 16, while say grapple is still 14. Now add ff ( say the Dec bonus is 2 for the sake of a number ) then trip goes up to 18 while grapple is still14.

Why is that, do you think?

Did the players not know how their characters worked?

Did the GM need the rules explained every time something new came up?

Did the players get to take a bunch of actions out of turn due to the class abilities, or did the class abilities take a long time to resolve on their turns?

Did you spend more time roleplaying than using your characters abilities?

These questions and their answers lead to useful play test data.

Basically all of the players knew the classes they were playing fairly well, and the gm had a pretty good grasp on them as well. However, we felt as though there were so many gaps that it felt more like rule diving in Shadowrun ( see book x then y then z to get an answer). We pretty much ran a half skill game half dungeon crawl. Most of the lag came up in the crawl and pets ( mainly the Phantom, is it essentially an eidolon or not).

Post game discussion ( and I do not count this as taking forever) but we just spitballed with level two stats. I decided to take the Spiritualist down a melee path I.e weapon focus scythe and the teamwork flanking feet on both the character and phantom. After everyone was done re-tooling the gm bumped up the boss stats to match (slightly higher ac and hp). Conclusion to this test, as much as these new classes appear to be caster heavy, the boss went down much faster with the melee caster hybrids that everyone re-tooled. On the downside other than basic feats, no one really knew what they could add.

Did I miss how to increase the phantom stats?


Does anyone know if or what packages have the chronicle sheet rewards as not all of them are in hero lab. For example Braid of 100 masters is missing among others


Hi all! First off thank you for your help. I am trying to figure out some things / find some items in hero lab. It should be noted that it is for PFS and I have some add on packs.

1)where the heck are armor spikes- I cant seem to find them
2) where the heck is the braid of 100 masters
3) it does not appear to be calculating my hp correctly (it appears to calculate a level below and not take into account toughness).

I have other questions but these should allow me to figure out the rest on my own.

Hi All I have a cad fighter and i picked up the braid of 100 masters in a quest do i wanted to add some monk ranks. Any advice on an archtype. I was all about maneuver master then i realized the braid would get nerfed as i would lose flurry of blows bonus the braid would give. Thanks all!


For non fighters, if you have a high dex, just pick up agile maneuvers to replace your str to dex for your cmb.

O.K so this argument came up involving AoO. does taking a 5 foot step into difficult terrain give an AoO? That was 30 min. of rule fighting that I could have done without.


Started playing a Cad and I love every second of it!


So I started a Cad, and I am having fun with it but I was hoping to get some feedback as to what sort of feats to take. My Party currently has a Pally and a Barbarian so I'm looking to do more things along the lines of dirty tricks and what not (kind of a modeled it after a mix between Jack Sparrow and the 3 musketeers improvised weapons etc.)

Any thoughts? and Thanks!


Ok so now I am very confused does this mean that a fighter at 3rd gains armor Training AND any feat with an * next to it (like for arguments sake improved unarmed strike)?????
