Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Calliae quickly put together more shelters, making sure the refugees have a space before she finds a spot. I'm actually quite curious how rain would impact a water fey. I mean, Calliae sleeps just fine under water in a rushing river so how bad would rain be?
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
"I won't remove it, at least not until Vane is done. If they don't see us they have no reason to come charging or open fire. If you want I'll drop it once the stump remover is in place so we can protect it before it blows." Most of all, she didn't want to leave Vane upon to attack. He wasn't a fighter like the others and she wasn't sure he could handle it.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Where on the map would Vane be to set up the stump removed? I'm asking because Calliae would refuse to remove the cloud if Vane would be on our end or in the cloud to set up the stump remover. In that case she'll dismiss it the moment Vane reaches them again. Besides, wouldn't shooting hobs at full longbow range only draw attention?
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
"If possible people should drag the dead hobs and the wolf to the other side of the bridge with us. We can use the equipment from the hobs and butcher the wolf for food." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 On the subject of the bridge Calliae is silent for a mere moment, "Oreld, you brought your secret project didn't you? Can we use that to demolish the bridge?"
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae exchanges the wand for her sickle before lashing out at the hobgoblin in front of her. Move Stow wand, draw sickle
Raska, shouldn't you have a +8 on attack? +2 from flank and another +2 from Edvard. You have a total of +6 now.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae grumbled as her fellows where falling into disarray, "Quin, get here! You can't take those guys alone. I can cover you but you need to get here!" As she shouts she sees Edvard falling down from the corner of her eye and curses under her breath. None of this was working out. Both wolf and master stood there unmolested while they laid a beating on her fellows and now there were new hobs coming in. She sighed before mumbling something undecipherable under her breath before inhaling a massive gulp of air. As she exhales a cloud of fog comes from her mouth, hiding those on the bridge from the newcomers. Moments later she appears at the edge of the cloud near Raska, standing next to the side of the bridge. There was only so much she could do right now and if all else failed and her companions fell at least she could escape via the river. There was no reason to die pointlessly. Standard Cast Obscuring Mist
We really seem to have pissed off the dice gods. By now I just wish I had taken an animal companion for the first bit and retrained later. I feel useless.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
"Quin, we should move towards the bridge. We don't want to be caught out here if troops come out of there." With that Calliae moves towards the bridge, though she does not actually join the melee. Instead she stands back, facing the shed and ready to aid there if it's needed. Double move next to Raska
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae moves up to Raska, drawing the healing wand they acquired earlier. "Just hold on a second, I'll see what I can do about that wound." With that she channels the wand's energy, gently tapping Raska with it. 5 foot step to Raska
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae ignored Quinn and Edvard, "So nobody sees any issue in the fact that the shed here might house half a dozen hobs to attack us in the back? I mean, I could always jump into the river if things don't work out. I am the only one who has that luxury though."
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 At the failed attempts at diplomacy of her fellows Calliae steps forward. "There are no more hobgoblins within the inn. We killed them all." She offers them the warmest smile she can muster, "Like my friend says, we are gathering people to leave Phaendar behind and escape the attack. If you want to get out of here both free and alive you should join us."
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae remained at the door, ushering the people in. "If anyone can keep an eye on the doors, we don't want to be barricaded in." Once all were inside she joined the others at the trapdoor, "Why would we drop a torch down there? We don't want this place to catch fire now do we? Perhaps Quin can enchant a cork or some such to give of light, I've seen arcanists do that before."
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae takes a last look at those trailing them, "Try to stay out of sight of the hobs." Then she's off into the inn. Once inside she doesn't need any time to see what is going on and swiftly draws both her sickle and her shield. Move Into the inn, blocking the door for the hobs
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae just nods as she accepts the wand before stowing it away. It should help them and, in case the healing would need to be spread out, she could even use it to infuse one of her poultices. When William suggest going around the back Calliae nods, "That sounds like a good idea. If only we had a way to draw them out just a few at a time."
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Perform (Oratory): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 "Oh great lord Erastil. We thank you and all the other gods for extending your blessing to the poor souls of this town for many years. As the vile hobgoblins sack our beloved town we would bid thee farewell from this place before they befoul this shrine. May you see to it we escape unmolested so we can erect a new shrine elsewhere." Calliae seemed to speak to no one in particular, addressing the very air within the shrine. Once she's done she makes a short bow before joining the others in taking what they can use to escape and survive.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae moved next to Quin, sling in hand. She takes a shot at the recruit but instead of the recruit she hits one of the pews, causing a tiny dent to appear. Move Next to Quinn. Map is incorrect as she was with the group
I once more remember why playing a casting focused divine caster at low level tends to annoy me. I always feel a bit useless. Luckily all that's needed to get better is survive.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
"Nothing dedicated to Erastil. I do know some others though." She knelt down next to the corpse and closed Noelan's eyes before saying a prayer in her own tongue "Déithe mór an talamh, le do thoil a sheoladh ar an anam an seirbhíseach onórach le réimsí na úd thall. Lig dó a bheith ar an taobh a mháistir go deo níos mó." Sylvan:
Great gods of the land, please carry the soul of this honorable servant to the fields of yonder. Let him be at his master's side for ever more. So that's google translate Irish for Sylvan. Thought it was a fitting substitute "Do we have any idea what is left within the shrine? Do you Rhyna? While it would be good to remove the looters I'm not sure it's worth risking lives for."
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 "Wait! Why not join us? There will be plenty of hobgoblins to kill before we get out of town and we could use more capable hands to help ensure we make it out safely. What do you say?" They would also get themselves killed or captured if they went out with just the two of them but better not to focus on the negative.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
"It is why I want to know what's in there. If it could turn the hobs into an even bigger danger we'll have to stop it." The man was starting to get somewhat annoying. He had proven to be useful but his feigned wisdom and sensibility was getting on her nerves.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
"It's probably one of the hobgoblins. What do you keep in there?" With the fire doused and the people out of the building Calliae felt rather useless. She wasn't that good in combat and most of what she could do magic wise was already spent. Hopefully they'd all just get out of here soon.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Seeing her attempt at dousing the flames only slowed the fire down instead of extinguishing it Calliae turns to the other survivors, "Be ready to move quickly once this last hobgoblin bites the dust." She herself once more turns to the fire and condenses more water from the air, hopefully of keeping the flames from spreading. Standard Create Water on the flames
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
As the others start introducing themselves Calliae also joins in,"My name if Calliae. I'm Phaendar's resident fey." The last part is accompanied by a smile, though the under the current circumstances it does not reach her eyes. "Good to have you save Oreld. I suggest we move and as fast as we can. If we move along the west side of the square we can pick up as many people as possible. Though I guess it's best to avoid the square itself."
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 "Oreld, you there? I know you trapped the door, disable it and come out." While standing there Calliae pressed her hand against the cut delivered by the hobgoblin invader. It would require stitches, or magical healing.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
"I agree, we must flee." Calliae moves to the door to the back room and knocks loudly, "Oreld, the attackers are dead, you can come out. We need to flee." While waiting for an answer she turns to Quinn, "You. You're an arcanist of some sort, right? Do you have any idea what magic that scroll holds."
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
As her fellow combatants move around in order to better attack the hobs Calliae moves in to cover Aubrin and the robed fellow in the back. Once in position she lashes out with her sickle, though combat had never been her strong suit. Any hit she'd manage to score would be more luck than skill. Move 5 foot step to block closest hobgoblin.
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
"She's is. She's hurt but nothing she won't recover from." She once more turns to Aubrin, "Either stay put or crawl to the walls, we don't want you to get hit again." With that Calliae moves to grab her shield and her sickle before she joins the others. Move Grab and equip shield and sickle from table
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae simply watches as the townsfolk enjoy themselves. These joyful moments was what made the inevitable sad moments bearable. She had seen so many townsfolk age and wither but these were the moments one could forget about all of it. The splintering of the door and the screams rudely interrupt her train of thought. Only when she sees Aubrin drop to the floor does Calliae wake up from the shock. "Aubrin!" Without much further though the fey drops to her knees next to Aubrin and starts a simple prayer for help as a warm springs forth from her hands and into Aubrin. Move Next to Aubrin but out of Hob reach
Female Naiad Druid (Defender of the True World) 1
Calliae gives the skunk an odd look as it walks in, "Nothing for you here little fellow. Best get back to the woods where you are safe." As the bearded fellow followed her all that came out of her was "Oh...", before she turned around and called for Oreld to greet his new clients. Nothing specific here either |
