Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

After time and reflection I'm going to withdraw myself from the Nobles group. Those others with me in thread will have noticed that I haven't had my head in the right zone for some time now, and rather than prolong the lack of cognizant and impactful input from myself - I'm going to withdraw.

I give thanks to Tark, Pollux, Tal and Trevor (plus the fallen ones we lost along the way) for the journey over the last three years and three months - and no doubt our paths will cross elsewhere upon the boards.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Nothing comes to mind - but I seriously need to commit some time and read back over the last thousand posts or so to catch my head back up.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar has two items of note - a Circlet of Persuasion and a Morningstar +1, so yeah he's kind of behind re: WBL.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar is unaffected by the banter, a retort half forming before being washed away without being spoken.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Neither of us have Knowledge Local either :P

Sighing Caldazar bemoans "You grow less and less your image by the day Gorumite... does the Lord in Iron approve the cuckold?" a slight hint of sardonic play alight in Caladazar's voice... but only enough to make Tal wonder if the words are meant to provoke, demean or amuse.

"We should return to our rathole if only to ensure both privacy and an enclosed space to deal with any fallout."

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Neither Caldazar or Pollux have Knowledge (Nobility) :P

Caldazar shrugs "What you do with the coin is of your own concern... but I neither know of anyone who can legitimize your intent, nor do I think it wise. You want your wife to be safe? - invest in thicker walls and a stouter lock"

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Nah - just posted with a degree of support to Tal earning his cash.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

To emphasize Tal's discussions, Caldazar unlimbers his morningstar and holds it at arms' length near to the caster's head.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar grimly recovers his stomach... and makes a measure of how much Rance might be worth. As always the parts more than the whole...

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Coughing through his nausea Caldazar suggests "Knock him out... we can barter with Rance for his life."

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

I assume I've got another 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds of nauseation

Though the fog clears, Caldazar's bile has not yet receded.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Cough, splutter, wait.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Musings:
Or he could've just puked up a swarm and Tal would've been proper fecked.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Musings:
We can relatively easily figure out his level.
Caldazar's sat on his hands for six rounds by my count - and it's a 1 round per level spell.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

*Cough splutter wait cough*

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

This has potential at least the main character's showing the right amount of vim and vigour.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Continue with nauseated cowering, awaiting dissipation of cloud.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Pollux - you're nauseated, hence move action only.

Caldazar continues to take cover within the safety of the choking cloud.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Cool cool - and Trevor, by the time Caldazar moves over, climbs, redraws his weapon and waits for the nausea to wear off so he can take a standard action... the air will be clear where he is presently.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Tark - is it glitterdust? - if so Tal should have had an additional Will save vs the blindness effect at the end of last round.

Caldazar maintains his sickened vigil within the cloud and cage, waiting for the mist to clear.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar remains imprisoned in relative safety within the confines of the cloud and cage both.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Caldazar says nothing, though he can be heard gagging and dry heaving upon the floor. The foul spell robbing him of utility. Gritting teeth he urges himself to resist, calling upon the Bloodied Rose for fortitude.

Declare judgement of resistance...
No matter what you do Tal - stay out of the cloud!

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

"Now it gets interesting..." unlimbering his bow and seeing it strung.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar continues to dispassionately watch.

De nada from de buzzkill

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar begins to find the lemure on Tal action somewhat indistinguishable as sack of fluid after sack of blubber explodes. He shakes his head at the folly of what they call sport.

Nada from me.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar continues to maintain a somewhat disinterested vein, and refrains from upsetting Tal's rhythm with support.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Seeing that Tal has everything well in hand and cognizant that his last couple of attempts at assistance were less than celebrated... Caldazar keeps his mouth shut.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4
TarkXT wrote:
The funny part to me is the only person who really cares about having made out with caldazar is Tal.

And that's the only reason that Caldazar keeps bringing it up ;)

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

"Just remember Drovalid, Krona's kiss awaits..."

Charisma for AC: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Ok... Caldazar will stop trying to help now. That's snake eyes.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar allows a small degree of satisfaction at Tal's performance to date, but does nothing else.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Seeing the complete lack of affect his words had a few moments ago and without the battle truly joined - Caldazar merely sat and watched.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Flatly Caldazar offers "Go... try not to get killed."

Charisma (for AC): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Flatly and in level tone "You showboat in the arena... your opponent may very well kill you. You focus, and do what needs be done without pandering to the bloodthirsty bastards in the crowd... that gives you the best chance of walking out of here. Don't underestimate what you may need to face in there."

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

After the lady departs, Caldazar speaks low in Tal's ear "Fight to live, not for them... Your Lord in Iron doesn't favor deceit."

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar doesn't add to Tal's most locquacious description and instead stands with eyes directly away from the lady to cooly regard the arena.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

I shall... but it won't make any tangible difference to the fight, so don't hold up on my account.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar is back now... I'm going to try and get a bit more of his mongrel back as well.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar still needs to level

The close bearded once was cross-dresser remains relatively quiet and reserved as discussions flow between Lady Drovenge and their sacrificial tin can man. A slight smile does cross his face as he remembers when recently their paths crossed another of house Drovenge... and his small part in seeing a noble cast down. A nascent chuckle is quelled though as he also remembers those companions of the time that were no longer with them.

Strangely to the devotee of Milani he feels the loss of the fanatic in service of the Rough Beast more keenly... at least Meraxilar could be relied upon to act in a manner in keeping with his deity. He did not trust the Sarenran, and though Tal had shed blood beside him he felt no depth of kinship. As for Pollux... the less said the better, though Caldazar coughed as unbidden a peculiar taste of cloves began to well up within his mouth.

Tired and rough eyes regarded the spectacle that would unfold and he merely sighed "Peace Tal, your blade will drink deep soon enough... save your voice for the adulation that might follow your victory" a taste of scorn finding it's way onto one word spoken before deadpanning "If you perform well enough Krona may bless you with another kiss."

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

As both a heads up and an FYI - I shall be wending my way on holiday starting Monday, and will be out of the country from roughly 2-3 weeks give or take (through to about 10th April).

During such time my online time shall be curtailed from what I'm usually capable - which should engender a reduction in verbosity and potentially some unreliability when it comes to posting rates and speed.

I'm more that happy to be DMPC'd whenever it's appropriate, but am hopefuly that I should be able to keep up with all the PbPs that I'm currently playing in during the time down-under.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

"A while I would imagine... long enough for what it knows to be thoroughly not current."

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Castor clearly needs to figure out a soul gem like activity to transport the monkey into the head on a stiick?

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar turns to Pollux "Any of these names familiar?"

He's got the Local and Nobility knowledges...

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

At the resumption of screams and insults, Caldazar sighs before stuffing the thick end of his cloak into the head's mouth to shut it up a while. From there he moves to Tal, asking "Anything in the books?"

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Caldazar looks upon it with mostly disdain... and a partial degree of interest. Without blanching he flatly states in Infernal "I am the one that has the power to put your head back in a box... so I will begin with the questions. What is your name, and what has Dargentu done to you?"

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Just congratulate them on their implicit support of shariah law... that should get 'em frothing...

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Intimidate: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18 Natch.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Knowledge Planes: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Caldazar winces as the head begins to scream before appealing to it in the language of the devils

Infernal:
"Peace woman... and we will find this Dargentu for you..."

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

All go bar the shopping

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Apologies for not being around much in thread at the moment Nobles - I'm finding it a bit hard to figure out Caldazar's mojo.
