I agree with everyone about taking the Exile back to the village and explaining what happened and how we can help heal them now that we know what happened. Caldar offers any additional help as needed at the outpost and the village. Is there anything else we should do at the outpost or are we done with all that we can since we fast-forwarded with the expectation of doing a thorough search and scan as well as finishing any tasks without any further harm to the Exile?
Caldar is glad the combat is over and that the Exile survived. He listens to Jord's explanations as he details what he found. I agree we should leave him here but request that he be put someplace he cannot escape and will keep him safe. You never know when some local predator species might come in and think he is an easy meal. Which door should we try first? I wonder if one of them might be a storage closet that we could use to safely stow away the Exile.
Not sure how I got moved outside but put back to where I previously was before moving Caldar steps to the other side of the doorway and keeps under cover. Caldar casts a cold Energy Ray at the closest archon. Energy Ray: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Caldar steps to the other side of the doorway to get a better view of Orange archon. He yells out to the exile It would have been better if you would have just met with us peacefully but we will defend ourselves Caldar casts a cold Energy Ray at the closest archon. Energy Ray: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
It seems that whoever is behind the voice we keep hearing is either unable or unwilling to hear and talk with us. As he walks into the new area, he checks for anything of interest while staying on guard with his azimuth laser pistol and expecting trouble. He casts Detect Magic in the room to see if anything useful is around.
Caldar is amazed at the efficiency of his teammates during the battle. Well as unfortunate as it was for the battle, I am glad to see that you are all very capable. After hearing the voice and lack of response even after his teammates request more information from the unknown voice, he says Well I guess the lack of response and the gruffness of not regretting the attack on us, we should probably expect more of the same as we move through the building He casts Detect Magic in the room to see if anything useful is around and then looks around the room and interacts with anything of interest. Engineering: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Lol. Sorry about that. I didn't notice that the rest of my post was missing. Take the below as before my post. Well at least something went right for a change! Hopefully, things will continue that way but it is doubtful, Caldar thinks to himself as he scans the room for anything interesting or of note.
Caldar thanks Karbaa and wishes him a safe trip back to the village before looking towards the shelter. I'm all for the stealthy route but I am not particularly stealthy so I will tag along as best as possible. Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 I'm good with however we want to split the items. From reading, it seems that the ring of resistance only buffs your lowest save. Is that correct?
Caldar helps to free the villager after he becomes conscious. I'm glad we found you alive but we probably should move to a better and safer spot before the storm comes back. He looks around for something to help with freeing and transporting the villager as well as the integrity of the current shelter and if the other shelter looks to be in better shape from what he can see from this distance. Engineering: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Caldar sprints across with the others to be more stable and safer shelter. As he runs into the shelter and hears Sparks ask for a medic, he attempts to Detect Thoughts to determine if the creature/person is still alive, at least until a doctor can attempt to revive.
Thanks for the info! I've updated my info so it shows current status. I have a few HP left so good with either taking 10 min or making a rush for it and then resting. Caldar catches his breath and says Ok, definitely not a fan of this storm but ready to get across to better shelter with the rest of the team.
As he thinks about the conversations and information from the natives, the storm brings him back to the present. Fortitude: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4
Wow, really crappy rolls there. Fully miserable as the storm pelts him and he slips and falls flat on his face. He stands back up, looks around, and inspects the bridge as he tries to determine if safe to cross and attempting to regain some dignity. Skill Checks: Engineering: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16 Life Science: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18 Physical Science: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Caldar introduces himself to the newcomer now that the translator is working. Hello, my name is Caldar and I'm a Damaya Lashunta scholar from Castrovel, I enjoy meeting new cultures and learning from them. He pulls out his transcriber, takes some notes on what he's seen so far, and hopes to learn some new things about these people.
This is my first starship battle as well so learning and open to options Caldar relays the information he received from the scan to the rest of the crew. Uli, is there a specific area you want to target or hit? Caldar attempts to target the area for Uli Computers: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 Uli, I believe I have a lock. As much as I dislike taking the life of another sentient creature, sometimes it is necessary to save others. Take that thing out!
During the trip, Caldar continues reading his large assortment of books and didn't even notice that the trip took as long as it did. However, when the alarms starting going off, he ran to his computer terminal to see what the fuss was about. As he notices the "ship" he performs a Scan of it Attempting to scan the "ship" Not sure if the Life Science would be part of the scan or if Computers or both??
Caldar's skills are as following so I'm good with wherever needed for the ship crew but probably either the Science Officer or Engineer crew Skills:
Computers +9 Diplomacy +2 Engineering +7 Life Science +10, (reduce the DC of Life Science checks to identify rare creatures by 5) Mysticism +4 Physical Science +7 Piloting +6 Boons: Faction: Wayfinder Champion Social: AdabarCorp Respect
A Male Damaya Lashunta walks calmly into the room with the others and restrains a large grin on his face. Hello, my fellow travelers. Sorry for my delay in getting here. A little misunderstanding caused a delay. My name is Caldar and I am glad to meet you. I'm glad to see a good assortment of our finest gathered today and feel that regardless of our requested task, that we will be successful. I look forward to working beside you all. He then gives a bow and awaits further discussion of the briefing. @drogo, well my avatar doesn't really look much like the damaya lashunta either , lol |
