a player proposed this and i have question the price of it... bracers with a constant aspect of the falcon (using bracers of falcon's aim) so that 4000 gold then wants to add a constant gravity bow, also 1st level spell with same duration so thats 4000 x 1.5 for second effect = 6000 So it's Bracers with constant Aspect of falcon and Gravity bow for 10,000 gold what gets me is that both of those prices are calculated with a 1st level caster, and you can't make item's until 3rd level
I am making a mad dog barbarian, which gets an animal companion, and i am stuck between a hippopotamus and a Tyrannosaurus The Tyrannosaurs seems better statwise in almost every respect, but the hippo is 10ft faster (only thing better) and has trample (with no listed damage) is there any reason a hippo could be better choice than a t-rex, stats aside?
My question is, what is the "rotting flesh" the trait allows you to eat? To be more specific... would you eat the flesh raw or would it need to be cooked? could you eat fresh meat with no ill side effects or does it need to be rotting for you to eat it safely? If the rotting meat was from a creature who was diseased, would you need to save against the disease?
A glamer changes all the sensory qualitys so if i had glamered armor on and i was walking through town....i understand i would still make noise, but would people be able to say "oh, he obviously has glamered armor on because he sounds like a man in armor" Same with touch, if i was arrested would the guard grab me and say "oh, you have glamered full plate on...thank god i noticed"
This recently came up and there was a disagreement..... Round 1: Monk draws Kama and attacks enemy A (killing it)
The question is, would the monk be able to take the AoO with the kama? the argument was that throwing shurkien uses the primary hand and since the monk never switched the kama to his off hand he had to of dropped it, or it is in his offhand, which you cannot makes AoO from
Round 1 : I grapple
I thought i needed to pin every round to keep them pinned, but everyone else at the table says they read it differently, so i am curious what the correct answer is
I just want to make sure i am understanding a difference.... With the fly spell: being attacked in the air or collision don't have a chance of making you fall because you arent flying with wings Wings of flying: you will have a chance to fall from collision or attacks because even though its an item made using the fly spell...you now use wings and if i am correct, would it be a stretch to create wings of flying that are instead something like cape of flying that doesn't use wings?
Ok, i'm confused on an aspect of craft....i know i am making a mistake, i just don't know where The prereq for putting enchantments on armor and weapons is having a lvl 3 times the enchantment.... +1 = lvl 3
but then what about the special abilities, that allows you to get up to a +10 bonus +10 = lvl 30......at some point do you need to just take the +5dc for not meeting the prereq?
I just hit level 5 with my wizard, and i am not usre which feat to take first..my bonus feat is used up, so i only have my normal feat left to choose Arcane Strike (i use my weapon a lot)
Whichever i don't take now, i will be taking at lvl 7. My group all thinks i should take the craft so i can enchant all our gear for 1/2 price, and wait on arcane strike because even though i use my weapons a lot i will always be lowest damage in the group. I WANT the arcane strike, but i am in a brutal campaign and wonder if i would even survive two more levels without my whole groups gear getting a buff.
I want to make sure i am understanding it right..... I want to craft a normal suit of Half-Plate 600gp = 6000sp Lets say i have a total of +14 to the check because i am awesome, rolling a 20 every week (because i am awesome) nets me 612sp of progress so that's roughly 10 weeks I could increase the DC by 10, and if i still rolled a 20 every week, that would get me 952, so 7 weeks. So, if you wanted to make yourself a suit of armor you would need to be willing to take quite the break
If a wizard with spider climb still active on him is backed against a wall by an orc capable of making multiple attacks of opportunity, and the only escape is up the wall. How many attacks will he take if he moves straight up the wall? 1 because the the square is he starts on is the same space as the wall right behind him, or 2 because the wall is a separate 5 foot square? and if the answer is 2, is it possible to jump to bypass that square?
"A creature with a swim speed can move through
What is a special action? i always thought they just got a +8 to swim but it looks like i am wrong and "You can’t take 10 on a Swim check in stormy water, even
"The creature can always
so can a creature with a swim speed take a 10 even in stormy water?
I have been told a thousand times that the CL on an item is not a prerequisite for creating the item, and that makes sense BUT i was reading the books and i saw Caster Level (CL): The next item in a notational entry gives
on page 460 of the CRB it says your CL must be as high...so is it required?
Just to make sure i am understand the RAW... Bob grapples Pete with his normal CMB, and beats Pete's CMD initiating a grapple Pete trys to break the grapple with his Normal CMB and fails Bob maintains the grapple with a +5 to his CMB because Pete didn't break free right away, succeeds and gets to do one of the many things that you can do in a grapple with that same check Pete trys to reverse the grapple with his normal CMB and succeeds and that is his standard action, just reversing the grapple The 2 main points i am trying to clarify is the +5 to maintain a grapple, and that 1 check maintains and lets you take a action in the grapple
1)In the core rule book under estimating the price of items under "spell effect, use-activated or continuous" they use the example of lantern of revealing the price for that type of item is caster level x spell level x 2000 but it is modified by the duration of the spell.....it looks like they never modified the price according to duration for lantern of revealing and it makes me feel like i am missing something....am i not understanding something? 2)There's a section on adding new abilities to items, so assuming i had the money could i create a Belt of dex +2....then later add the ability of a lantern of invisibility, and then later make it let the wearer use dimension door 3/day?
I am thinking of taking Craft wondrous items, and i was thinking it would be better for me stat wise, to use a profession, but i cant really think of a profession that would make items Wands and staves can be created with woodcutting but i don't know if that would apply for wonderous items. also, can you create anything that gives +2 int, or does it need to be a headband?
From what i have read, the only real restriction for potions is that they cannot have a range of "personal". So if a character created a potion of obscuring mist (i assume it would be called an oil if you don't drink it), how would it be used? would you pour it on the floor and the spell would center on that square, could you throw it and have it break and center on that square? What about calm animals? would pouring it on the ground simply let you target animals from that square or would you need to douse the animals in the oil?
Chaotic, Evil, Good, and Lawful Spells: "A Druid can't cast spells of an alignment opposed to her own or her deity's (if she has one). Spells associated with particular alignments are indicated by the chaotic, evil, good, and lawful descriptors in their spell descriptions." So if the Druid is true neutral, do they have no restriction OR can they not cast any spells with with any of those descriptors?
I made a druid, and i have a pretty high handle animal skill by this point my question is, can i give commands to other peoples animals? i figure at most i would need to push them but, if someone was riding their horse by me could i push it to stop, or to perform with the rider on its back? If i encountered a guard dog, could i give it the "down" command and simply walk past? and also, could i like secretly teach tricks to the horses in the stables at night when no one is looking while staying at a keep? |
