Cain 9

I'm getting Android from Inner Sea Races, People of the Stars, Inner Sea Bestiary

I am taking Repairing Nanites instead of Nanite Surge - the android's sentinel body is hardy more than heroic and is more likely to endure than to amaze.
Additional flavor text from People of the Stars:
"The artificially constructed humanoids known as androids are as much a miracle of technological achievement as they are an example of the sheer will of the multiverse. On Golarion, they’re endemic to Numeria, and for millennia, the native Kellid tribespeople have spoken of “the tattooed children of the stars” who occasionally rise from the technological rubble and ruins of whatever interstellar vessel crashed into that nation’s soil eons ago."
...
"Kellid shamans speak of great forges where androids are “born” from metal wombs
and are cut from electrified umbilical cords. Even androids can’t refute or verify such stories,
since most who emerge from Numerian ruins do so naked and without any memories beyond their initial egress into the wide, unfamiliar world."
Cain 1 never inscribed any notes on where he crawled into Numeria (~4000 AR) so the metal womb that birthed Cain may hold many similar sentinels or be empty and lifeless.
Backstory-wise, I assumed that paladins in Lastwall may have partnered with Ustalav to imprison some of the worst criminals - those not guilty of a crime worthy of execution but of life without parole, essentially - and sent a criminal I created (The Coffer Creeper) from Roslar's Coffer to Harrowstone as part of that partnership. The Creeper managed to escape into Numeria, where he eventually encountered Cain 8 and other androids, holding them through various means, mostly arcane. Cain 8 died ~6 years ago and Cain 9's soul was tethered to the shell after a week or so of reconfiguration. His time with The Creeper was brutal but thankfully short, as paladins from the Shining Crusade tracked down The Creeper to ensure payment for past and current crimes. Once freed, and knowing of the horrors that befell Roslar's Coffer under the Creeper and the orcs, Cain 9 traveled to Roslar's Coffer to help them rebuild and restore this remote corner of Lastwall.
Character-wise, Cain aims to be helpful (so much so I intend the Helpful trait as my 3rd trait) but that can lead to being a little cultish in his adorations. He's devoted to The Shining Crusade, the town of Roslar's Coffer, and to Yog-Sothoth in a way that only a wide-eyed child with limited understanding of the bigger picture typically shows. The Knowledge skills reflect book learning rather than real world experience and it was in his deep study of all the religions of Golarion that he stumbled across brief and incomplete mentions of Yog-Sothoth, leading to his fascination.
