About Buttons v
Titania Taurus is the six and last child of Harold and May Taurus. She is also the only tiefling. Harold a blacksmith and his wife Maria had five children before Titania. Three older boys and two girls. All normal human. Titania was a surprise and an embarrassment to all. Born with the hooves and tail it was until she was three that the horns began to grow in. The bumps on her head where referred to as 'buttons' a nick name her father gave her at birth despite her demonic feature. Saying she was' cute as a button' even with the then current hooves and tail
The tiefling girl was always picked on and mocked. Yet she took it with some grace and dignity. She was an oddity and a curious attraction around the stables and for awhile she was a boon to her father business. But soon the novelty wore off.
Her sibling where split on how to accept her. The younger brother Roberto always came to her younger sister defense. James the oldest brother was usually helping her father and made it point to avoid any dealing with claiming to be too busy. Jane the oldest sister saw her as an embarrassment. Then Thomas who would pick on her but only when no ones was looking. Kelly the next sister in line was always on the fence when it came to talking about Buttons. Roberto always seem to come to her defense.
As she grew older. About the age of ten she began taking to the street of the city and getting into all sort of minor mischief. This may be because in her much younger years she got attention for being a novelty now she is just a freak. Picked on and scorned. She has taken to the streets Usually with small gangs. There she began to pick up a few skills and being who she was there as an underlying fears that if you crossed her. You might get gored by those horns.
Pick pocketing was easy because most wanted to ignore her and pretend to not to see her. Or she was used as a decoy while an accomplice did the dirty deed, Her uncle Fagan was a great help in teaching her all the right and wrong things. He was nick named the dark uncle and taught Buttons the skills she needed to know about become a rogue.
Now in her late teens, has become a bit of a scamp and rogue about town. She leave town waiting for things to ‘blow over’
