Those examples are not the same. In those cases, the question is really "If I do one now, can I do the other later?" And the answer to that question is yes. We used "or" on that card, because you *may* do the other later, but you do not *have* to do the other later. If we had used "and," you would be *required* to do the other later.

In this case, the question is really "Can I do both at the same time?" And the answer is no. We used "or" because you must do one or the other; if we'd used "and," you would be required to do both.

Thanks Vic, that explanation was much clearer.

Since English is not our first language, my group didn't catch that subtlety with "or" having two meaning. That being said, we still have debates regarding certain powers. Could you state what are your stance on these powers, is it "both" or "one or the other"? Thanks.

JIRELLE :
• If you are on a ship, you (□ or another character on the ship) may move at the end of that character's turn.

One character gets to move per use of the power. If we wanted you *and* another character to move, we'd have said "and." If we wanted you to have the choice, we'd have said "and/or" (or more likely, constructed the power differently). "That character" refers to the character that moved.

That answer confuse me! With what I read on other topics, I thought you couldn't use "and" because it would mean that you can only use the power if you could move your character and the other one and that's why "or" was use.

And I don't remember seeing "and/or" on cards, but I'm not a fine connoisseur as Mister Moon here.

Again, sorry if this all seems evident to you Vic, but we're just trying to appreciate the game as close as it was meant to play.

Oups, I shouldn't have open that can, now there's worms everywhere! ;p

Thanks all and sorry Hawkmoon for your head!

• You may recharge an ally to recharge a random card (□ or a weapon of your choice) from your discard pile.

It's not everybody that need to be in a group to be useful to the group!!!

Wu Shen is a loner, the only power that can be directly useful for a group is: When you have fewer than 5 cards in your deck and you play a blessing, you may recharge the blessing instead of discarding it.

But being a loner can help you tremendously in certain scenario and Wu Shen as a lot of deck managing power, so she's able to care for her own.

Anybody beat this one with a party of 6?

We are a group of 3 playing each 2 characters and after 4 cruel defeats, we decided to try it with only 1 character per player... What a difference it made and we easily beat it.

So, back to the question, anybody beat it with a party of 6?

On the scenario card. It only says you have to defeat, not prevent them from escaping.

Thanks again Hawkmoon.

Also, keep in mind that once you've banished Isabella "Inkskin" Locke, you don't need to corner the other villains, just defeat them. There is one less location then normal, so your group just needs to permanently close one location, corner and defeat Isablla "Inkskin" Locke, then all head to Mancathcher Cove to finish off the Matron and Kreeloort.

I'm not sure if you thought that you had to corner all the villains, but if you did it would definitely make the scenario way harder than it needs to be.

That would be our problem !!! We thought we had to cornered all the villains so we would leave characters at open locations to insure that they would be temporary closed for the Matron and Krelloort.

Where does it says we don't have to corner the last 2? Just curious to find out what we've be missing or misinterpreting.

Thanks Hawkmoon and thanks Isaic16 for the heads up, but by playing it correctly, we should be able to win without to much problems. For your curiosity, we play with Lirianne, Seltyiel, Feiya, Oloch, Jirelle and Damiel.

Anyone has a strategy for this scenario? We're playing with 6 characters, we have saved all our blessing and the capable allies for additional exploration and, even so, we failed miserably 2 times by running out of time. Thanks.
