Ó Máille doesn't look up as he quickly responds to Old Biddy "We bring the shard to Fintan. Find out if all this was worth it."
Ó Máille doesn't notice Old Biddy's gaze as he's still watching Aoife with concern.
Ó Máille eyes Sean with optimism After the old woman reads Aoife's fortune, Ó Máille moves to stand next to her. He opens his mouth to speak, but makes no sound as Aoife responds to the old woman. Without words, he rests a hand on her back.
Ó Máille begins to answer Mary when he catches Aoife's eyes. "We really should - uh, take a moment to rest. We gladly accept your invitation."
Ó Máille speaks with a level of conviction rare for the young man, "Our next step is to give Fintan the shard and to find Amergin." His countenance softens as stops for a moment. "I need to know if this was worth it."
No reason to multiclass a full caster. Ó Máille is now a level four cleric! Nothing too exciting, just more spells per day, really. I updated his default prepared spells. And Aoife, I'd be worried how squishy your pet might be.
Ó Máille kneels and lays his hands on Sean and Airthuir. A soft glow emanates from his palms as he beseeches the Lord in prayer for another miracle.
Ó Máille prays for God to guide Thorun's axe.
Hm, I cast Shield Other on Nial and I think he took 12 and 16 damage from the king this round so he should be at -14 and I should be at 25-6-8=11, I think.
Only Kassidy's crumpled frame lies between Ó Máille and the murderous king, but by the grace of God, the tyrant's attention is focused solely on the newcomer. The young priest checks to make sure Kassidy is breathing and recites a prayer over Nial.

Oh, I see now. I think the he would be unable to perform an AoO because of the hard corner since you can't attack regularly around hard corners. If the black square is a solid object, that is.
Oh, you sure did, Thorun! So I'll only have taken a 5 ft step, thus no AoO at all! Just for the rules discussion. The AoO I already took was from K9, wasn't it?
Characters are only allowed one AoO per round unless they have the Combat Reflexes feat. Moving into a threatened square does not provoke AoO's. Y'know what, moving from J8-J7 will provoke an AoO from the commoner @ K7 now that I look at the map again. K6 doesn't get one, but I'm pretty sure K7 does.
Once the Fili is able to support his own weight, the young priest rushes to Thorun's side to perform another miracle.

The young priest rushes to the side of the Fili, crouching opposite the enraged king, and begins to pray.

Ó Máille extends a finger toward the King of Boho and shouts, causing an ethereal echo to linger in the air for a moment.

Kassidy and Brother O'Maille: Ó Máille allows silence to fill the room for a few moments before continuing to pray. "We present ourselves to You, God, with thanksgiving in our hearts. Sean yet lives, as do I, and we thank You for another opportunity do your will. You have given Sean a new path to walk. qui confidit in corde suo stultus est qui autem graditur sapienter iste salvabitur. In Nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti. Amen." Finishing his prayer with a excerpt from the book of Proverbs, the young priest raises his head and smiles at the broken man before him. "It is rare for God to directly proclaim His will for our lives. He wants us to grow and learn; He doesn't want us to be mere tools. God's will will be done. He is giving you a chance to participate."
He places a hand on Sean's shoulder. "I will speak to my father on your behalf."
Kassidy (and Brother O'Maille!): The young priest exhales heavily when Sean finishes speaking. "At least you're alive to be stuck in an attic. This whole ordeal could have been avoided if we just turned you in, but we didn't. My father has taken good care of you, yes? Sean, we want to help you, but is this what you want? Joining the clergy is a great responsibility."
Ó Máille stays seated while Aoife and Thorun leave. He speaks only in response to Ruadhán. "Unfortunately, I don't know much about the man, personally. Last we met, our peoples were negotiating a treaty of sorts after generations of bloodshed. No casual conversation was had. All I know is he is an accomplished warrior more level headed and kindhearted than his father."
The younger Ó Máille finally speaks after listening to his companions offer their opinions. "We don't have the time or information to find Nial." The brother stares intently at the floor as his shoulders fall in defeat. "Aoife, I don't doubt your capabilities, I doubt my convictions. We have seen incredible things, and worked so hard to get this far. I - We need to do this. For Fintan. For Braeden."

The young priest stares at Brigit with a mixture of fear and disgust as she speaks. Despite this, he says nothing to Aoife's defense, only clenching his fists.
"I cannot, in good conscience, speak on Sean's behalf in this matter. I hold no ill will against the man, but as you've said, he does not appear to have any interest in such a role. To be a part of the clergy is a calling from God." Brother Ó Máille sighs and lifts a hand to cover his face. "I am Fintan's servant, but I am a servant of the Lord first. Possibly tainting his priesthood is not a sacrifice I can make." He slumps into a nearby chair and looks to the heavens. He begins to pray. "Father, I want to do your will. Please show me how. I know you can work in Sean's heart if you choose. Is that your will? Should I proceed and trust that you will be glorified through Sean? Or am I blinded by politics and straying from your light?" As he ends his prayer, Brother Ó Máille drops his face into his hands and falls silent.
"Father, in order to solidify our case against Boho, we need a witness who bears no allegiance to either king. Sean and his sister are the only two possibilities we can think of. We're just not sure if either would take such a risk for us."
The younger Ó Máille diverts his attention to Kassidy when expletives reach his ears. "The queen wouldn't - surely - she wouldn't have us killed, would she?" The young priest's face shows little confidence in his own assertion.
Ó Máille's countenance darkens when Fintan inquires about their progress. "Fintan." The young priest begins, "The king of Boho is no fool. He knows the law better than any of us and was able to deftly refute our claims. Our only hope is to present the king of Fermanagh with a witness not loyal to Largay who can corroborate our story." He looks to Kassidy, then to Aoife before returning his gaze to Fintan. "We think Sean Quinn may meet these requirements, should he be willing to testify."

Amergin, Thorun, and Kassidy: Ó Máille pulls his companions aside, speaking quietly. "Mayhap Sean or Brigit Quinn? Would they meet the law's requirments?"
On Bard Duty: "Sounds fair." Ó Máille responds to Kassidy.
He addresses the bard. "Thorun is our physical protection and guide on this journey. With him leading us, I have no doubt we'll reach Largay swiftly and safely."
Traveling with the Bard: "Kassidy?" Ó Máille draws the Irishman's attention. "Politically, where will we face the least opposition? And Thorun, which route do you think will be less taxing?"
The young priest looks to his companions in turn with a worried look on his face. "I - Well, yes. Be careful Aoife."
Ó Máille studies Ruadhán's face as he speaks.
"I trust you." The priest breaks the silence that follows warrior's explanation. "Though, perhaps Thorun should accompany you. The children need as much protection as we can afford and I think it might be easier to explain his absence over Aoife's. Perhaps he spent to much coin at the tavern?" The young priest suggests as a wry smile spreads across his face.
Ó Máille considers Kassidy's words for a moment before responding. "As much as it pains me to suggest such, I think it may be the only solution. Perhaps Ruadhán or Thorun could accompany you to ensure your safety."
Not Ruadhán: The young priest quickly shoots wary glances to his companions before answering. "I am Brother Ó Máille, a man of God and citizen of Largay. Aoife serves Largay's royal family, and specifically, its new king. Thorun is our companion and protector on this journey."
He looks to Kassidy, wide-eyed, as a bead of sweat trickles down the side of his face.
Ó Máille will accompany Kassidy to assist in his diplomatic endeavors.
Ó Máille's eyes widen as he realizes the extent of the Green Man's power. If the Lord has seen fit to bestow him with miraculous abilities, how can a man of God not agree? "Yes." The young priest declares with a stern face. "What are your intentions? We still have our own political agenda that has lead us to travel this far. We can't just turn back now."
Ó Máille forces his attention, once again, to the current conversation. "Wait, who told you we were travelling Armagh? Why would you have reason to kill us? None of us are of noble blood, much less slave owners. If you must know, our current task is purely political and not related to slavery in any way. Our people were betrayed by a neighboring king. We seek resolution is all."
The young priest stares, stunned by by Aoife's words.
"I-" Ó Máille stutters, avoiding the Green Man's gaze. "I have considered the proposed reforms regarding marriage. I think I would like to be a father one day, perhaps." He shrugs nervously quickly adding, "Not that this is the time to think of such things, what with Ireland's bounty of problems as of late."
Ó Máille places a hand on Aoife's shoulder once he stands. As he begins to answer the Green Man's question, his eyes grow sorrowful and he sighs heavily. "I fear for my brethren. I think we have strayed from God's intent for His people. Change is coming, I feel it. I know it. My worry is for the lives that will be lost in the name of tradition and pride."
The young priest stirs quickly, as his sleep thus far has been mediocre at best. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he rises to a sitting position. He lets out a confused grunt and notices the crowd before him. Recognizing Abiobun, he smiles softly. "You must be the Green Man I've heard precious little about. It would seem God has delivered us into your hands this night, yet we are unharmed. What can I do for you?"
On the ground lays a man dressed in simple brown robes. The only indication of his occupation is the small wooden cross hung around his neck. Even in his sleep, he maintains a firm grasp on the symbol of his faith. His age is difficult to determine. Though he possesses a full head of hair and stubbly beard with no trace of gray, his face appears worn and somewhat wrinkled.
"I think many members of church leadership have lost their true purpose. The winds of change are blowing, whether or not we're ready."
Ó Máille furrows his brow in contemplation. "I don't remember my father telling about any visits to this church and I'm not sure what my feeling are on this 'Hood' organization." He rubs his temple, sighing heavily. "Over the past few years, I have felt more and more sympathy to those demanding reform in the church. Perhaps this 'Hood' is committing acts of crime, but maybe they are doing what they feel is right? This still doesn't answer why they want us dead, however..." His voice trails off as he weighs the situation.
