history:
Work in progress, this is just a piece for my deeds and distinction mixed with some beginning history.[spoiler=history] Work in progress, this is just a piece for my deeds and distinction mixed with some beginning history. Will add more to describe him and his history, but I've gotta head to a birthday party. Will try to finish integrating stories tom.

A brother of the Iron hand abhors weakness of his own flesh as much as his enemy. He doesn't take prisoners and is ruthless in close quarter combat, able to focus 10,000 years of Chapter anger towards a single foe. While he has learned to parry and use mental powers in his rage, he isn’t able to stop until all his enemies have been slain. Centuries of battle has not quenched his thirst for vengeance against those who took their beloved Primarch Ferrus Manus.

The Iron Hands re-conquered the heretic Conqtal sub-sector with swiftness and fury, subduing many planets before any resistance could be formed. That all changed on the capital world of Shardenus, where Brother Castil’s vanguard fought against foul daemons and warp spawn beyond counting. A turning point in the battle was when brother Castil witnessed a mind-wrenching spectacle that almost led to his descent into madness. The roiling energies of the anomaly swelled in the skies overhead and reality itself warped and twisted. Under a mental assault that would have reduced most mortal warriors to gibbering husks, he heard the eath-screams of warriors not yet even born and witnessed the guttering of the brightest of stars. Upon regaining his wits, he found that his squad had been slaughtered and that he was barely alive with most of an arm and leg gone. His squad had held the line long enough for the chapter’s more experienced librarians to close the rift.

Brother Castil would never be the same. His hatred turned on his own and after cybernetic replacement quite common in the chapter and done to the highest standards, he took the Apocryphon Oath that he might personally avenge his chapter because his brothers weren’t strong enough. He knew he would need to be stronger and sought service in the Death Watch. His brother convinced in Castils will and mental fortitude they bestowed him with a unique set of gauntlets, passed down to librarians for generations. They knew brother Castil would not rest until every threat to humanity and his Chapter are dead. As one of the few who with the willpower to overcome and survive horrendous warp events, it’s his duty to seek out what weaker fleshed men cannot handle.

Had it not been for the divine will of the Empower watching over Castil or merely his own mental aptitude, he would have surely succumbed like his brothers and perished from the warpspawn. Having survived doesn’t mean he wasn’t unchanged. Something different within Castil saved him for a reason and purpose. He has a certain clarity in his hatred that sharpens his senses and keeps him strong minded. For having survived such an encounter Brother Castil has shown will and been given a reason that drives his willpower and fortifies him mentally. Having overcome mental hardship that destroyed others, Castil has set himself apart from his peers, and his unstoppable vengeance will leave little more than blood in his wake.

Psy Powers:

Iron arm

Action: Half or Reaction, Opposed: No, Range: Self, Sustained: Yes
Description: The Librarian sheathes his arm in an impenetrable field of energy with the power to ward off powerful melee attacks. While this power is in effect, the Librarian gains one additional Reaction each round that may only be used to parry, with a bonus on the Weapon Skill Test to parry equal to 3 x PR. Note that this power prevents the Librarian from using his arm for any other purpose, such as wielding a weapon, climbing, and so on

Smite

Action: Half, Opposed: No, Range: 10m x PR, Sustained: No
Description: The Librarian conjurers up lethal bolts of lightning that leap from his hands to burn and blast his enemies into ash. Smite must be targeted at a single creature. However, it may effect others nearby depending on its power. The Librarian does not need to make a BS test to hit the target. However, his Focus Power Test is modified as if he was making a ranged attack (using bonuses and penalties for range, lighting, enemy talents, etc.). Smite deals 1d10 Energy Damage x PR with a Penetration equal to his PR. Any creatures within 1 metre x PR of the target will also be affected by Smite.

Avenger

Action: Full, Opposed: No, Range: 30m, Sustained: No
Description: The Librarian summons up the ancestors of his Chapter and shapes them into a flaming vengeful avatar of death. The construct then billows forward to incinerate those in its path. The Avenger power works exactly like a shot from an Adeptus Astartes heavy flamer (see page 145), with all the usual chance to hit and set targets on fire. However, due to the horrific nature of the psychic flames, the Penetration of the attack is equal to 2 x PR.

Astartes Heavy Flamer Heavy 30m S/–/– 2d10+6 E Pen = PRx2

Possibility Shield

Action: Half, Opposed: No, Range: 5 metre radius x PR, Sustained: Yes
Using his understanding of future events and his perception of the flow of time, the psyker surrounds himself and nearby allies in a possibility shield. While this power is active, the psyker and a number of allies equal to his PR within range of the psyker gain a +10 bonus to one roll each Round. In addition, due to his ability to see attacks before they are coming the psyker himself adds +5 x PR to all Dodge and Parry Tests

Deus ex Ferrum

Action: Full, Opposed: No, Range: 1 meter radius x PR, Sustained: Yes
The Iron Hands Librarian focuses his mind and links his iron will to the strength of his augmetics, bolstering himself and his allies. The Librarian and a number of Battle Brothers equal to his Psy Rating within a number of metres of the Librarian equal to his Psy Rating gain a +10 bonus to both Strength and Toughness. This bonus is increased by +5 for every cybernetic possessed by the affected Space Marine (The Flesh Is Weak Talent counts its level towards these requirements). If used at the Unfettered Level, this Power is a Half Action. If used at the Push Level, this Power is a Free Action.

Solo and Squad Modes:

Iron Hand Solo Mode Ability
Suffer No Weakness
Type: Passive, Required Rank: 1
Effects:Space Marines of the Iron Hands Chapter find strength in bolstering their bodies with augmetics and bionics. Harnessing cold fury and hatred into their assaults, the Iron Hands are powerful warriors. Once per combat, the BattleBrother may select a single enemy. For the duration of the combat, the Battle-Brother gains the Hatred Talent against his chosen foe and gains a bonus to Damage equal to one-half (rounding up) of his unmodified Intelligence Bonus.
Improvements:At Rank 3, the Battle-Brother gains the Sturdy Trait; the Battle-Brother must possess at least 4 cybernetics. At Rank 5, all Interaction Skill Tests used against the Battle-Brother suffer a –30 penalty; the Battle-Brother must possess at least 5 cybernetics. At Rank 7, the BattleBrother gains the Undying Trait; the Battle-Brother must possess at least 6 cybernetics.Note: For this Solo Mode Ability, The Flesh Is Weak Talent counts its level as an equal number of cybernetics. Thus, a Space Marine with The Flesh Is Weak 3 and 2 cybernetics would count as having 5 cybernetics for the purposes of this Solo Mode Ability

Squad Abilities:

Iron Hand Attack Pattern:

Ruthless Advance, Half Action, Cost: 2,Sustained: No
Effects:The Iron Hands are renowned for their implacable methods of war, able to capture and hold ground in the face of superior numbers or inhospitable terrain. The Battle-Brother and those within Support Range may spend their Reactions to make a Full Move. This movement must be made towards the nearest enemy. The Space Marines using this ability are immune to pinning until the beginning of their next Turn. Improvement: If the Battle-Brother is Rank 4 or more, activating this ability becomes a Free Action

Iron Hand Defensive Stance:

Strength of Iron-Half Action, Cost:2, Sustained: No
Effects: The cold fury of the Iron Hands Space Marine Chapter makes them exceptionally good at holding ground, particularly in the face of enemy fire. The Battle-Brother and those in Support Range of him gain a +10 bonus to resist Fear and Cohesion Damage and add +2 to their Toughness Bonus when reducing Damage from ranged attacks.
Improvement: If the Battle-Brother is rank 4 or more, the bonus to resist Fear and Cohesion Damage increases to +20, and the additional Toughness Bonus increases to +4.
