Male Human Cleric/1
Just wanted to let my fellow players and GM of Team Hydra know I'm going to have very limited internet access after this weekend. I'll be on work travel for a week (boo!) and then vacation for a week (yay!). I'm guessing we're near the end of this adventure, but I'm hoping we can finish strong. Please feel free to NPC Brother Kendrick if it becomes necessary to advance the story.

Since Brother Kendrick is last, here's my general plan of action - if anyone is badly hurt, he'll try to maneuver where he can catch the injured person along with as much of the party with a Postive Energy Burst. He's out of spells, so this is the only healing he has available. Question - are the Shield of Faith and Protection from Evil spells still active?

Round 3 "Light of Swords!" as his battlecry, Brother Kendrick will take a 5' step to threaten Tulok the Trog and then slash down with his longsword. Attack (including Sickened penalty)1d120 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 1 - 2 = 17

Remembering his training in basic siege tactics, Brother Kendrick yells out Push throught the door! Don't let them keep us bottled up in the stairs!". He is delaying his action, and as soon as the way is clear, he'll castProtection from Evil on himself and then quickly move through the doorway.

Brother Kendrick will move among his companions checking their wounds. "Variel, make sure you keep those wounds clean. If you should start to feel flushed or sick tell me immediately. I have no idea what kind of pestilence the bites of those vermin might carry." Satisfied no one is currently near death, he adds,

Brother Kendrick will drop his Sunrod at his feet, grab his holy symbol, and holding it forth call out furiously "Light of Swords, I call upon your Glory to smite this evil!". The holy symbol flares with golden radiance, and a burst of positive energy washes over the skeletons. Channel Positive Energy (DC 15): 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Scipio - a couple of questions for you: (1) I'm assuming these are the indicators: green G = Variel, Black V = Belros, Red S = Kaldar & White K = Brother Kendrick; (2) Variel is in the lead, and there is an unopened door to his left; (3) We could continue up the stairs to the 4th floor. Assuming all of my ooc statements are correct, Brother Kendrick will suggest Variel examine the un-opened door. [whispering]"Variel, what's the story with that door? Can we safely open it?"
Male Human Cleric/1
Brother Kendrick immediately moves to heal Variel's wound. "Wow! That's all the way through your spleen! Have a seat and I'll get you fixed up." First removing the javelin, Brother Kendrick holds his holy symbol and intones the familiar words of prayer. Converting a Bless spell into a Cure Light Wounds. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

"I've found a silver dagger, steel shield and banner, all of excellent worksmanship. I've no idea how old they are, but they may be valuable as antiques. We should bring this when back to city when we've finished exploring and see what a dealer might offer. Let's split the minor coinage between us as well. Shall we continue through that yonder door?" While searching the room Brother Kendrick recovers his javelin.

"Anyone hurt? No? All right then. Anyone know what these creatures are...er, were? Maybe they have some treasure..." Brother Kendrick searches around the room. Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Even if nothing looks interesting, he'll cast Detect Magic and scan the chamber for any auras.

Round 3 Assuming the creature is still alive on his initiative, Brother Kendrick will demand surrender with a cry of "Yield, and your life is spared!" and then ready an attack action if the creature instead takes a hostile action. If the creature tries to move past he'll take an attack of opportunity. In case it's necessary: Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Deciding that climbing up a rope with a lit lantern is probably not the safest idea, Brother Kendrick activates his Sunrod and then snuffs the lantern. Slinging his shield and tucking the Sunrod through his belt he grabs the rope and starts his climb. Climb:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Male Human Cleric/1
Examining the wound left by the spider bite: Heal check 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Assuming nothing further can be done, Brother Kendrick will use a positive energy burst to heal Belros "Let me heal that wound Belros." Holding his holy symbol and concentrating for a brief moment, a bright glow flares forth and a healing warmth washes over Belros. 1d6 ⇒ 6 Shall we continue through the doorway?
Male Human Cleric/1
I propose we explore the open areas on the ground level, and then if we cannot find an existing means to move higher in the tower we consider climbing up through the open areas. Once we've searched out all the open areas we may want to consider attempting to move aside the rubble blocking the western passage. Thanks for the ASCII map. It explained things perfectly!

I'm picturing this as a hole in the floor leading down to lower levels. Am I correct, or is this indicate a hole in the ceiling?

Round 1 I can't access photobucket through my work firewall, so I'm posting without the map. If my actions seem strange, please feel free to alter Brother Kendric's actions as you see fit.
As Brother Kendric moves after the feral dogs, his actions will be dependent on what happens during preceding actions. If any party member is sorely wounded he will move to that person and heal them. Otherwise he will set down his lantern [move action] and then move [move action] to help the party member who seems to need help. Since his BAB is +0, he can't draw his sword while moving, so that will wait unti next turn. If he is attacked he will drop his lantern (trying to do so such that it doesn't break but recognizing there is the risk) [free action], draw his sword [move] and attack [standard].

Brother Kendrick sets the lantern upon the ground and makes his preparations. First, he pulls forth from his belt pouch a second holy symbol, this one with a broad nick across the face and showing many signs of wear, as if it had been worn and used for many years. He holds it in both hands and briefly bows his head, "Light of Swords, I am but your simple servant. Grant my heart courage and my sword-arm strength. Let your light lead me through the dark places I shall travel." He then firmly straps his light metal shield (the face of which is emblazoned with the symobl of Iomedae) onto his left arm and then firmly grasps the holy symbol in that hand. He pushes a sunrod through his belt for easy access, and finally loosens his sword in its scabbard. Picking up the lantern in his right hand, "I'm ready. Let us proceed."

Lighting a small taper from the coal box, Brother Kendrick ignites his hooded lantern. Lowering the hood such that only a small amount of light spills forth, he addresses his companions "It seems like half the city has the same idea as us. We should hurry towards the tower and see what we can find. I propose Belros and Kaldar, our two warriors, lead the way. I'll follow shortly behind providing light as needed and Variel can follow on behind myself.

Brother Kendrick follows his new companions outside the inn, and addresses the wagon driver - "Greetings to you this day. Your arrival is most fortituos. A Pathfinder has issued a challenge, and myself and my companions are eager to win the prize. We require immediate and speedy transport to the Cairlands outside the western gates. Can you take us there with all haste?"
Male Human Cleric/1
Almost gratefully, Brother Kendrick turns his attention to the new arrival. "Well met Variel. My name Kendrick, but please do call me Brother Kendrick. I've been Brother Kendrick for so long it sounds strange if anyone but my mum refers to me as only "Kendrick"." "And no offense taken. I'm actually here tonight as I heard the Singing Satyr was the place to meet adventurers. Due to a recent...change...in my life I've decided to try my hand as an adventurer., flashing a brilliant smile.
