Astartes- Tigers Argent

"Yes, not only my chapter, but all of the Chapters of the Angevin Crusade with the exception of the Black Templars appealed to the Adeptus Ministorum. This almost incited a civil war between the Astartes and the Ministorum in M39 during the Angevin Crusade. In the end it was the Black Templars that appealed for a compromise, but this ended with the Tigers Argent leaving the Crusade and aiding the Storm Wardens in other areas in the Sector.

Our Chaplin again appealed to High Lady Sarah when we learned the sarcophagus was being brought here, after arriving at Grangold only a day after the Pious Immolation. Again we were denied. The Ministorum should not have the right to keep us from recovering our gene-seed. I was selected for my specialty to sneak into the tomb. I did not know they had posted guards and needed to act quickly. I had heard others in the Sewer, I thought maybe I was being tailed, but now I know it was these strange heretics.

Astartes- Tigers Argent

Brother Johann bows his head in sorrow in response to Brother Lucian's words. "We are...very few in number, yes. That is why this gene seed is so important. We have long known the identity of this hero. He was one of our best. We hope to generate a new chapter master with this seed. It is our last hope."

Brother Elyas you can post more questions you want answered, but there is a time limit. I would say you get to ask 5 more questions before the sewers are swarming with Inquisitional Stormtroopers from Orendel's Tomb. So if you want to ask things that do not want to have others overhearing, make them count. Once the Storm-troopers come the mission is basically over, and the next mission will be decided.

*edit* Choose Brother Johann's Fate before the Storm-troopers arrive as well.

Astartes- Tigers Argent

" The sarcophagus held one of my brothers. An ancient hero of my chapter. I was sent to collect his gene-seed, something that should have been done a long time ago had it not been for extreme oversight of the Adeptus Ministorium and the Adepta Sororitas. I did not enjoy killing those men, but I can not fail in my mission, or my chapter, and the fate of the Jericho reach, would be in jeopardy. If you do not allow me to complete my mission, than I might as well die here today."

Scrutiny +0:
The Apothecary sounds sincere. His body language is of a beaten down warrior.

Scrutiny -20:
When he mentions the Jericho reach, there is some inflection there that makes you think he is holding something back and not telling you the entire story.

Astartes- Tigers Argent

Brother Arkhos is able to shoot out the legs(I do not really think we need to go into a third separate combat round for 2 lacky humans) They are bleeding heavily from the holes that used to be their knee-caps.

Once you all get unstuck, and done slipping on bloody sewer icesounds like a drink Brother Johann asks. "So what now? I need to go back to my ship and my comrades."

Astartes- Tigers Argent

Tellemachus:
You know exactly where the psychic feline is. You gain +10 to hit with BS or WS on your next attack against it. You feel its animal mind recoil from yours once you touch it, like a mouse running from a cat. There is only the one, the humans seem to have no abilities in the warp.

Low Gothic -10:
What's wrong with her? She doesn't want to go. I dunno maybe we should just go back. If they somehow got out of their limiters... The other guy scoffs And what grew back their brains? Come on we are packing enough heat. Just get your cat moving.

The Feline figure is speeding towards the group on the auspex.
The cat senses you, and you are aware of it so no surprise round.

Brother Johann looks at Brother Lutha with disdain, " I did not defile the sarcophagus, you all defiled my Brother by bringing him here!"
Roll Initiatives
The Watch Captain says Weapons free on the Xenos, subdue Brother Johann if you must. Solo Modes Advised
Cat: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Brother Johann: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

Forbidden Lore: Xenos +0:
The Phyrr Cat is quite ominous in the Calixis sector. Believed to be a genetically altered breed of feline by the Sisters of Silence to sniff out Psykers in the M30, the Phyrr cat has many unknown powers and can often kill an entire squad of Imperial Guardsmen before they even know it was their. Phyrr is a dead world, classified for it being an utterly lethal jungle where everything seems to be biologically engineered to end human life.

Astartes- Tigers Argent

"My mission is for my Chapter, and for the Achilius Crusade in the Jericho reach. The sooner I get there, the better for the Imperium."

Astartes- Tigers Argent

"Deathwatch? I have nothing to do with these creatures if that's what you think. In all do respect I think we should keep our weapons at the ready don't you? These things are easy to kill, but they have some nasty teeth. Why aren't you in armor anyway? " The Apothecary eases his stance, but he is still holding his chainsword.
" If you mean me no harm, let me continue on my mission, time is of the essence. "

The people whos voices you heard earlier are starting to register on Brother Leon's auspex. 2 human shapes and something else, it looks like a large feline.

Astartes- Tigers Argent

" I don't know you, but I have a mission to complete." The Apothecary says.

"Stand down. I am Watch Captain Enoch. Explain why you defiled the tomb of the Unknown Hero. Brother Elyas and Brother Lucian keep an eye on the Apothecary. Everyone else spread out and prepare to deal with the others." The Watch Captain orders. From here on out the Watch Captain is going to observe the situation. What happens to the Apothecary largely depends on you all.

Astartes- Tigers Argent

For a moment there is a still silence. Up ahead you hear the distinct sound of a chainsword.

When you make your way ahead you see more crotalid corpses laying around an apothecary. He is wearing silver and black with a Tiger should pad.

Common Lore: Astartes -20/Brother Lutha since previous roll made:
This is an Astartes of the Tigers Argent. A chapter that fought in the Angevin crusade, and recently suffered heavy losses in the Jericho reach and believed to no longer exist.

He turns to look at the Kill-Team. "Astartes here? Black Robes, what manner of chapter are you? I am Brother Johann Ulthbert. He is interrupted by other voices.

You hear voices calling in the sewers in a hive dialect of low gothic, they are speaking quietly, but with your lyman's ear you have no difficulty hearing it

Speak Language Low Gothic -10:
This recall device isn't working. I think I heard an explosion earlier. Should we risk it? Another voice says Of course! You think those sisters come down to the sewers? Most don't even know about this section. That is expensive cargo.
