The other thing to remember is that her +1 Tiny Returning Dagger returns to the square she left it from. If she moves after throwing it, it won't come back to her. So, she throws the dagger, is no longer invisible, and now has to wait around until her next turn to get it back. All the while she's no longer invisible and easily targeted.

If they run away then they should check to see if anyone in town has a scroll of Glitterdust for sale. It's only a DC4 caster level check to cast from the scoll since I assume they are not 3rd level yet.

When I had her throw her +1 returning dagger, I was having it immediately return during that same action. Does the dagger not return until the next round? I was not aware of that.

DMG p.225 "...It returns to the thrower just before the creature's next turn (and is therefore ready to use again in that turn)...if the character has moved since throwing it, the weapon drops to the ground in the square from which it was thrown."

If Erylium can go invisible at will, does that mean she can begin her round invisible, then become visible when she attacks, and then end her round by becoming invisible again (like a free action?) - does she have to wait until the next round to go invisible?

In Erylium's stat block, Invisibility is listed as a spell-like ability. Spell-like abilities have a "casting time" of one standard action unless otherwise specified (PHB 180). The at-will portion refers to how many times per day she can use it.

Hope this helps.

The Savage Tide Player's Guide is back in stock. Order early, order often!

Awesome! I just put my order in. Thanks!!!

Is the Savage Tide Player's Guide sold out? I was lazy and didn't order it last week and now I can't. Any chance more will be printed? I know it's going to be available as a PDF but I'd really like a print copy...

I've run two groups through this combat and nobody died but one did come close. I bull rushed a PC into the furnace which almost killed him (I remember rolling rather low on that damage). It's a tough encounter but not one that's over board.

I just checked out the pdf on the yahoo group and I really like it! What did you create it in before converting it to pdf? Word?

OK, I've joined and alreay uploaded what I've done so far. Just a reminder, I'm only uploading NPC stat blocks. For anything from the MM I just use the one page sheets from Creative Mountain Games SRD. I also suggest we don't upload stat blocks of any creatures from MM2, FF, or MM3 that Paizo inlcuded in the appendix. Those are WOTC's and we need to be aware that they are not OGL.

Paizo, we know you're probably watching this so if you would like us to take them down we will in an instant.

Like I said earlier, I've already started converting Soul Pillar's creatures/NPCs over to the new DMG2 stat block. Even Ike Iverson fit onto one page with a 9pt font. It was close but he still fit. It's still easy to read as well.

I really like the new stat block format. It's so much easier to use during the game. The four sections are:

Senses / Defense / Offense / Misc.

If were going on the assumption that Paizo is OK with us sharing stuff like this then I don't mind sending what I have out. Maybe start a Yahoo group for this? That way we can store the files there?

I have played LG in the Bandit Kingdoms (Texas) for the past year and Zeech has shown up several times. Adventuring in the BK is an interesting thing and I'm curious what is in store for AoW as it enters the area. Hopefully it won't just be "you teleport in, do your business, then get out". Though that is probably the SAFER route. :)

I know I'd love a stat block resource, even though I find the new blocks easier to do than the old ones.

Starting with Soul Pillars I'm converting each non-MM creature to the new stat blocks. I'm already done with everything through the temple of Wee Jas and I'm starting on Karran-Kural tonight. It actually doesn't take too much time for each creature. I've created a doc template with the basics of the new stat block that each creature uses. I then add any special stuff like attacks and combat gear. I would share them but I doubt Paizo would want copyrighted material floating around.

Uncalled for masterpaw. If you can't play nice then don't come around here.

I too found a small error while reading up on Secrets of the Soul Pillars. Event 30: Assassins - Tactics. "Zaenna and Tulrak each cast Divine Favor before the fight begins". Only problem is that Tulrak is not a divine caster. Ike did cast Imbue with Spell-like Ability on him but he gave him CLW and SoF as 1st level spells. The other issue is that Divine Favor is an Evocation spell and thus can't be Imbued.

I also checked Dungeon 109 and it's the same there as well. I'm prepping SotSP right now so that's why I didn't catch it earlier.

Just as I expected this pre-order was a disaster. There is no excuse for stores to be getting the book before the majority of pre-order customers. Once you saw how fast you were getting pre-orders in last month you should have notified the printer that the first shipment of x copies goes to you first and no one else. This was my first pre-order purchase from you as well as my first purchase from your online store other than subscriptions. This will also be my last.

My first group of PC's tore through the entire shrine room with ease. They came in through the secret door in the back. They moved silently enough that the Kuo-toan clerics didn't here the door open. They took a quick assesment of the situation and decided the statue had to come down.

The cleric cast stone shape on the blipdoolploop (sp?) statue and caused it to crash down and take out half the upper causeways and Kuo-toans with it. They were then able to rush into the high clerics room as he was still trying to get his full plate on. By the time Aushanna showed up they were in total control of the battlefield and hid inside the high clerics room. They all had oils of bless weapon for their bows so Aushanna went down quick.

I may have spoken too soon. The latest update from our printers regarding the Shackled City Book puts it on schedule for in-store release of July 27th, but it is likely that we will receive copies too late to ship out to arrive exactly on the 27th for preorders.

Apologies for the earlier misinformation. We'll keep folks updated if anything changes. All of us here are exceptionaly excited at the impending release of this book.

Nothing chaps my hide worse than pre-orders for a product showing up later than it does in the stores. It's why I almost never pre-order anything from a vendor and why I almost didn't here. It's like saying "Ha, we got your money already and so we're going to put all our focus on getting it to those we haven't sold it to yet." Now, I know that's not true here but Paizo really should have done anything and everything to make sure their pre-orders got the book the same day as the stores. If not even earlier.

You dropped the ball on an otherwise stellar launch of a highly anticipated product.

I'm reading through the Diamond Lake backdrop and I'm loving every bit of it. What's the town like? It's Greyhawk's very own version of Deadwood! Mine Manager Balabar Smenk is definitely the Al Swearengen of town though I'll probably not go with the drawing of him. I'm so going to have an E.B Farnum type character in town as well. My players are going to LOVE this.

My copy of #124 arrived today! I'm just getting ready to sit down and soak all the AP2 goodness up...

Did anyone else get their copy yet?

The current group that I'm running through the AP consists are all 8th or 9th level and consist of:

The Children:
Fithrisir: Catfolk Wizard/Rogue going for Arcane Trickster

Baylan: Human chain fighter that loves to trip and disarm

Thait: Young human wizard that loves fire spells too much

Val: New replacement player. Elf Fighter/Cleric that is a ranged fighter

Stonebeard: Dwarf Fighter/Cleric who hoards the parties gems when he gets the chance

We are starting Demonskar Legacy on Sunday. I'm looking forward to Dominating the chain fighter with the Hags. :)

I have jpg's of scans from the modules and such that I then publish to my TIVO. When an encounter comes up then I pull it up on the big screen. Very cool actually...

Thanks for the list as well. My second group will be tackling the Kopru ruins this weekend. I was just reading up on Skaven again and noticed that he will fall back to the Harpoon spiders lair if the alert is sounded. That encounter has TPK written all over it if both he and the spider work together. Sounds like fun to me! :)
