Portrait of Bregolas
Another portrait of Bregolas An elvish man in shades of green and brown leans against a great tree trunk in the shadowy copse. Arms folded across his chest, he observes your approach with aloof curiosity. A large curved blade is sheathed across his back, alongside a bow and twin quivers. Several shorter blades are sheathed at his belt and thighs, obviously a man well trained and prepared for battle. His demeanor is somber, his visage stern. And his words, though few, are bluntly direct and sobering. Back Story:
An only child, Bregolas was born to a druidess and a huntsman. Young Bregolas grew up in the surreal woodland beauty of Kyonin, the sovereign nation of elvenkind. His fondness for the fey wilderness grew beyond mere admiration. So vibrant was his intuitive connection with the natural realm, he took to composing poetry to express his ecstatic experiences, his sublime states of mind. He even learned to commune with the spirits of nature.
At an early age for an elf, he began his martial training in swordplay and bowmanship. But his training was both physical and metaphysical. He learned to unlock a higher state of consciousness, both in battle and outside of it, allowing him to retain his calm inner awareness. Bregolas soon joined the elvish military at a relatively young age. For Bregolas had lived through the god Aroden's death, and witnessed a very troubled world firsthand. His martial talents were put to the test for many a decade of his elvish youth as he stood up against some of the most terrifying creatures imaginable to haunt his homeland's forests, facing off against creatures most mortals only dream of in their wildest nightmares. Retaking lands plagued by the living dead, he has garnered a spirit of fearless endurance, determination... and melancholy. Bregolas's poetry has suffered greatly ever since that dark time. Though one can still find strong longing for the lost sublime spiritual highs of nature's beauty, it is marred by the darkness which haunts his soul... the darkness of one who has faced the unliving souls of the damned... whose tormented soul endures on in this fallen world, telling the tale through sad verse evermore: "Scattered remnants of beauty,

Favored Enemy (Ex): Undead. Bregolas gains a +2 bonus on Bluff, Knowledge, Perception, Sense Motive, and Survival checks and on weapon attack and damage rolls against undead creatures. He can make Knowledge skill checks untrained when attempting to identify undead creatures. Track (Ex): Bregolas adds +1 (½ level) to Survival checks made to follow tracks. Wild Empathy (Ex): Bregolas can improve the initial attitude of an animal. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check to improve the attitude of a person (see Using Skills). He rolls 1d20+1 (ranger level + Charisma mod) to determine the wild empathy check result. The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly. To use wild empathy, Bregolas and the animal must be within 30 feet of one another under normal visibility conditions. Generally, influencing an animal in this way takes 1 minute, but, as with influencing people, it might take more or less time. He can also use this ability to influence a magical beast with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2, but he takes a –4 penalty on the check. ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Explore, Report, Cooperate (5-08 & 6-10): Bregolas has an excellent sense of what makes an exemplary Pathfinder. As a free or immediate action, he may consider whether a particular action he names — such as subduing but not killing an enemy, befriending an NPC, or recovering a particular item — would help realize the goals of the Pathfinder Society. The GM then informs me whether the action’s impact would be positive (contributes to meeting a secondary success condition for the scenario), negative (opposes the secondary success condition), or negligible (neither contributes to nor opposes the secondary success
Friend of Janira Gavix (5-08): The field agent who oversaw Bregolas's Confirmation is appreciative of his bravery and camaraderie in the face of danger. She helps him perform research, granting a +1 bonus on Knowledge checks attempted while he is in the Grand Lodge. Prized Find (6-10): Bregolas was instrumental in uncovering a cache of lost records that the Pathfinder Society could use to explore hitherto unknown sites. If he would fail to earn a Prestige Point at the end of an adventure due to failing a success condition, he may cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet to remind his superiors of his past breakthroughs and earn the 1 Prestige Point as if you had successfully fulfilled the condition. He may only use this boon if he would also gain at least 1 XP for completing the
