I'm afraid the continuing low levels of general engagement in this campaign have finally reached a critical threshold for me... Anyway, no hard feelings and I wish you all the very best for the future!

Seeing his first attack completely miss the mark, Braham takes a brief moment to refocus, and then tries again. Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 = 8

Braham is slightly taken aback by the missing arrows and by the number of opponents, but then he steels himself, steps up to the bandit in front of him, and starts hacking away! Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 1 = 11

"This isn't working," Braham grunts. "Time for something else!". He lifts his greataxe, and with a mighty roar lets it descend on the door. If anything, the noise will be a suitable diversion while the others try to sneak into the building. Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

"Right, let's try this one more time!. He takes a few steps back, lets out a mighty roar and then starts barrelling to the door. Strength: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 That was a rather long site outage...

Throwing caution to the wind, Braham runs to the door as quickly as he can, and then starts throwing his entire bulk at the frame. "Drogan, give me hand, will you?", he grunts. Strength: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

No problem to open recruitment to anyone. However, in the recruitment post, it would be good to say something about posting frequency. Are we still going to stick to 1 post per week? Personally, I find that if the rate drops too low, it's easy to lose investment in the story. We should make sure it's compatible with everybody's current RL situation, though... What does everyone think?

I don't think they'll spend as much time thinking about how precise the voice is as much as they will be laughing about the fact that he squatted long enough to get frozen in." Braham shrugs. "Fine by me. Let's do this then!" He scouts around for the best place to hide in an ambush, and then gets into position, staring intently at the door of the lodge.

Braham furrows his brow, and you can almost see the gears turning in his head. "But if we call out, how can we make sure we sound like him? If not, they will think something is wrong. Perhaps we can set the horses free and make use of the confusion to slip inside from the other side?" Back!

Braham starts to listen intently to Aavelixia explaining all the different options, but his eyes starts to glaze over halfway through plan B. When she's done, he swallows uncomfortably, hoping for somebody with more brain power to make the right decision...

After a night's rest, Braham emerges from the hut and breathes in deeply. "Ah, cold air always helps to wake me up! Today is the day we will rescue the lady, I can feel it in my bones! How are you feeling Sturla? Ready to do some more brave things?"

"Yes, looking for a better place to camp is a good idea!". Braham glances worriedly in the direction of Sturla and inwardly curses himself for having been so slow to run through the snow. Survival to help Aavelixia: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

I know you've said in the past that you want us to post strictly in initiative order, but given our extremely glacial (ban pun intended...) pace in this game, I was wondering if perhaps using post order within a subgroup could be more suited? E.g., suppose the initiative is the following: friend A
In that case, the actions of friend A and friend B would be resolved in post order, then come the foes, and then finally the actions friend C and friend D are resolved in post order. I've been in a few games in the past where this really helped to keep up the momentum. But ultimately it's your game, so I bow to your rules :-)

Just out of curiosity, how do people feel about the current pace of the game? It seems we're now down to on average roughly 1 post per week. I realise this is supposed to be slower-paced game, but personally I wouldn't mind going up to 2 to 3 posts per week, to be honest...

After some careful deliberation Braham finally says "I think we should follow the boot prints. I don't think the lady has hooves..." He looked rather pleased with his formidable leap of deduction.

Braham closes his large hands over the dice, blows on them for luck and starts shaking them vigourously. 3d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 1) = 6 Seeing his low roll, his face clouds over for the shortest of whiles, but then he passes the dice over to Drogan with a good-hearted grin. "I guess you can still roll lower..."

Glancing over in Sia's direction, and seeing that she hasn't fully recovered yet, Braham says "Let's wait a bit until it stops snowing. Anyone up for a game of dice in the meanwhile?" With a broad grin, he fishes a pair of dice out of his pockets.

"There's nothing more we can do for him now. I say we go on and try to rescue the lady. Hopefully it's not yet too late!" Braham is still trying to work out what Sturla meant with his rabbits proverb.

Looking at the frozen corpse, Braham mutters "I don't like this one bit... This is probably just going to turn into a monster again that will attack us...".
