Borgas grew up in a small coastal village in the taldorian empire as sun of a local fishermen. He spent his youth roving around the cliffs diving for old wrecks and exploring caves.
He was willing to settle for live as hunter or fisherman when one day a Shayna arrived in the village. The red headed women didnt't tak mich about why she came to suich a lonely spot but her and Borgas seemed to strike it off almost immediately. She spent a lot of time together and for the first time Borgas fell in love.
She on the ther hand had mostly just played him to get him to help her looking for a particular wreck. After several weeks of diving to various places, the finally found the Bearded Harpy and the small chest Shayna was looking for.
That night they celebrated their success and Borgas was finally made a man. But on the next morning Shayna was gone and had also left the village. Not wanting to believe she duped him, Borgas waited in vain for a few weeks before setting out to follow her trail. It took him a long time to find her again in a nearby city.
Unfortunately for him, he arrived at her inn, just as her next business Meeting with a local noble went southwards, and although Shayna was very surprised she managed to turn the situation to her advantage by setting him up to defend her against the nobleman and his men while she fled. In defending himself Borgas crippled the mans knee before being able to flee.
Unwilling to admit he had been duped, Borgas could not return home and he spent the next few month with menial work and from time to time being forced to run from agents of the crippled nobleman who still bears a crutch against him.
When he finally heard of the expedition he decided it was time for afresh start and he joined as a tracker.
If you want to incorporated some of these persons in the adventure of course Shayne could be on the frist expedition, or an agent from the nobleman could have followed him to the new shore.
