Ah, the sweetness of party interaction.

The episode you describe with the seer doesn't sound too odd. Your party wizard got pissed at some random a@+#~+@ and decided to blast him. No big deal here, people and characters do get annoyed by other parties sometimes, no?

Stealing, lying, attacking, questionable actions etc. are all cool if they fit the characters. But why would your party tolerate such actions?

I have played many times on each side of the table with parties that have conflicting characters. It's up to everyone to find the reasoning behind their character's behaviour and lastly falls to the gm do keep things going on smoothly.

If your wizard is a constant negative, surely you wouldn't keep him around? Unless you need him, his a relative or you have some other such motivation.

2-5BP? I was under the impression that if you succeed your Economy check you get the whole Economy + D20 worth of BP - and a failed check is 0.

Failure = 0

Success = result/5, drop fractions

Your meant to fill up a city district before filling a new one, so this freakish city/cities that are producing 9 major items in different districts is completely against RAW and RAI.

So everyone else, don't feel like your kingdom is sub-par or something :)

Can't seem to find anything to support this. The only limit is new cities per turn. Nothing about limiting districts or a need to fill them up before opening a new one. Where are these rules mentioned?

Major: 40000gp -> 20 BP

How did you come up with these numbers? *snips*

1000gp seems high for a minor, but Games Mastery guide random item tables p118, says:

Average values: minor, 1,000 gp; medium, 10,000 gp; major, 40,000 gp

even though a roll of 1 to 83 is gonna be at best level 2 or 3 potion or scroll

Ah, right. Just found this http://www.dunknet.net/pathfinder.aspx and got average values for 100 rolled items as follows: minor 800gp, medium 9300gp and major 87000gp.

1k, 10k and 40k are what I'm going to have. They seem to be close enough even though the major may be a little off. BP values would be then 1/4 BP for minor, 2,5 BP for medium and 10 BP for major. I realize these are much lower than what origials are, but a little more challenging game is always fun.

How did you come up with these numbers? I haven't looked into in depth with random magic item values, but 1000gp for a minor seems a very high average value considering that they are mostly potions and other lame stuff.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

How to?

I don't want to roll the items separately and look for prices etc. it's innecessarily complex. I was thinking about giving straight on X BP for minor, Y BP for medium and Z BP for major. Now as the BP gain is guaranteed the XYZ values can't be as high as they are normally.

Has anyone gone this way? I'd like to hear input on as what the values could be rather than going in blind.

Is there any reason to have more than 1 city?
