The D&D cartoon sereis form the 80's is back on the air!!!! I was flipping through the channels last night and nearly died when i saw TIAMAT on toondisney which for my cable is 123.. but it does come on again sat and sun for me locally at 7pm everyone check your listings watch it!!! I'm in florida and use brighthouse good luck and good watching

Ninja's! my kung fu is greater than your silly sword dance

I'm so loving this and i was worreid cause no updates ahd come i'm glad to see this is still going! keep scrimm alive!

wow i never thought this would go this far but i'm loving it. I have a new character Burch who's a half dragon woodelf using the racial levels from races of the dragon. "i'll sneak in and scout things out when i scream help- me"

"DRAGON!"

i have two favorite items that i throw in or tryt o aquire in game for my pc's for PC's I must have boots of striding and springing we have them in two sets one that apears in the dm's guide and agreater set that was in dm 3rd edition which cost double standard price but doubles your speed.

My favorite cursed item is the belt of Flatulence which appears a a belt of gaseous form but once you activate it you constantly expell nether fumes and take a neg 4 of cha based skills and neg 1 on attacks and saves and move silently also takes a neg 2 penalty

My group round robins in two ways myself and Jeremy run the main game with one of us Dm and both of us as PC's which can be confusing but we make it a point to talk each week and make sure that we don't fluff ourselves and make it too easy for our own chacters to get through. we have a central location for our group which is a villa just outside of waterdeep he does more of the side trek adventures while i keep a overview of the plot. We also have a lowlevel group that our higher Pc's have hired to do the jobs that we don't have time for which Rudy is gonna Dm He has only ran one other game so we are gonna be guiding him in how thigns go but really letting him do what he wants apart from what the high group does. but here are the rules we have

1. no moding for your PC
2. at least once before game talk to other dm about consquences of loot and what not
3. if you have info on plot events no using it to your advantage
4. no placing of magic items that you want for your character
5. adventure approval by other dm.
6. have fun

Mine comes from me not having a chacter to play ina game because we were not allowing arcane magic users so i made up a generic fighter/archer who since then is my favorite character ever. I've played Bob short for Robert Silverpiece from 1st to currently 15th level. game on!

Why give Bob the Fighter depth and flesh him out when he'll be dead soon anyway?

::coughs:: i resemble that remark... ok i'm kidding but thats how my iconic Character started generic beacuse i had no idea what to do. I was ready for a hack and slash till i found out what i wanted to play. I've been playing him for over 2 years now i worked out his history later once i had desire to keep him alive. what we do is when we have a tpk whatever campaign we are on is over and we go to somthing else. it gives us drive to find the end of the adventure and stay alive. at low levels we limit avaible healing to keep us on our toes. no scrolls no potions to buy usually at double ot triple price but never could we buy them and 1-3rd level. It put stress on us as players and with me runnign the game as well. It keeps my guys coming because they actualyl get a challenge so many near deaths is great. to put it simply BE EVIL! if they keep ruing your plot don't write one put them in hack and slash till they complain and them talk to them about why you are doing it or skip that and just talk to them about your style of play.

I'm currenty using a time hook in a game i'm running now. THe group has lost 5 years of there life. In truth a war has taken place on the plane of mechanus where the wheels of time are kept some timelines have been damaged which is wreaking havoc in certain regions of faerun. I'm not sre what level of time play you are thinking of so i hope this helps some..

well this is interesting to me. I am sure D&D is not evil or at least anymore evil than any other game. I had this very converstaion this weekend with one of my new gamers after he had been to church the week prior and gaming and the occult came up for discussion. He thought it was crap that people can't relax over a game. He also went on to mention he's never even met someone who wasn't christian who played D&D (we live in a very conservative community) I smiled and let him know I'm a pagan and have been for a very long time. I don't flout and scream death to any who don't accept me or my beleifs in fact i rearely go into detail about it at all. I don't do sacrafices or try to convert my group to any particualr cuase through D&D. And sadly i'm not the sexy DM either nor have i found one.. Gaming is all about having fun with your freinds. period. you leave the rest at the door. Pagans and wiccans get a bad rap because of certain extremists who are darn nutz even by my open minded standards. In my two gaming groups we have 1 atheist 4 catholics 1 jew and 3 Pagans myself included. we all get along and one of our best games ever we went on the crusades!

If anyone has any ideas for simular treats that will dissapear in time and not over power the game feel free to chime in, I would appreciate it. :D

one thing my groups and I do is we get a list from the local apothacary in exchange for a few weaker potions usually the 1d4 +1 healing type just thik of bits of monsters to collect some low level some high like ogre mage eyelashes and zombie bones. limit the bones by only wanting Femurs (thigh bones) things lik that it can be both interesting and leave some hooks for you later like why does X/Y want all this stuff from the dead ;)

Geekdom for me resulted from my 6th grade english teacher. English for me in school was always my worst subject ath science history all those i was a AB student but i'd lose it somewhere in english with diction and sentence structure.(I.E. i know i still have problems) My teacher thought if i'd read more i'd see and understand. i got a copy of Piers Anthony's a spell for chameleon. I was hooked i read and read my grammer inproved a little but I still loved tot read then i got Salvatore's quest for the spear and was told by a freind about D&D i was 13 then I'm 25 now and have never regretted thejourney to geek-dom albiet i have had fun being a jock i was in the choir at school and now sport several tat's and a few piercings but D&D is the constant joy of slipping the stress of the real world adn being Bob the archer dragonborn fighter exotic weapons master deepwood sniper.

For a better artist that I interned with a few years ago check out www.dandossantos.com,

Unless I'm playing a mage. Then it's "FIREBALL!!!" ;)

THIS IS MY FIREBALL. THERE ARE MANY LIKE IT, BUT THIS ONE IS MINE. MY FIREBALL IS MY BEST FRIEND. IT IS MY LIFE. I MUST MASTER IT AS I MASTER MY LIFE. MY FIREBALL, WITHOUT ME, IS USELESS. WITHOUT MY FIREBALL, I AM USELESS. - Lans, from the Wizards of the Coast forums.

OMG I tottally needed to hear that this morning I am seeing a warmage instrutor teaching the iniatie this chant.

alrighty i got this one from around Christmas this last sung to the tune of star of wonder

Rod of wonder,
rod of might,
it hsa all the wizards might,

Pray your roll will do you right
or we die with Fireballs might.

it was hilarous for us anyway

By far for FR it has to be Kelemvor playing a cleric for him is just so much fun. The domains are great and my group Dm has always been fond of giving out bastard swords as magic weapons. Albiet i have a soft spot for Elistre as well and no one can doubt the power of Moradin! thats it my 3 favs!

we've all had those moments when the DM is smiling wickedly the request for the iniative roll is said our dice await to tell us our fate for the combat round is going to begin. Do you charge in pledgeing the battle to your god? the halfing rouge spitting a biting quip about the emenys mother perhaps? or some inside joke about your characters battle style? My personal is "I WILL AVENGE YOU!" = i'm going to go the the back of the room and protect me while i'm using my bow and if you all die i'll try to ressurect you later!

Give me a dwarf any day i love them so gruff and loyal heh now non phb i love catfolk from the ROW its a great race for scouts which i am finding i am enjoying playing.

what i do depends on the character i am playing it all is related to music but what music is dependant on the character. I play a majority of fighters so i tend to listen to metal more of than not especially when i know i have a big fight coming. Other than that i prep time comes in the form of cooking for the group to boot we actually role play out our meals sometimes by making trail meals or cheese summer sausage or ham with breads. or we get really elaboate at times when we get to higher levels hero's feast takes new level's when you actually get a steak in front of you.

I would just like to open a thread that is all about people's arch rivals, most hated/liked monsters, and favorite class.

My favorite rival/monsters are Dragons i know its iconic but the challenge is so much fun because they use magic sheer size and power. you must be on your toes!

My favorite class is of course fighter! I really like ranged fighters

I game in two groups my local group has 4 seats other than mine while my away group has 5 other than mine i find this number to comfortable and fun but any more than 6 seems to be overpowered and diffcult for me to keep in line

Dang, that's harsh...

I live in Wauchula, and commute to Port Charlotte everyday for work

Nah its worth it for the group they have been playing together since first ed i just turned 25 so i am learning and enjoying myself for the last 3 years. As long as i i can i'll roll my dice with them

Actually i need to correct myself its Evil hat who is developing the game i was just reading a green ronin book before typing this sorry

I started reading the series with my then girlfreind a few years ago. I do enjoy the early books i even enjoyed Narcissus in chains but i think it is getting to be more about sex than plot It certainly makes me not want to buy the hardcover versions or any at all at times maybe i just feel this way but what does anyone else think is it just sex now or what

I love this series but i feel like its being rushed. I am looking forward to seeing how the movie comes out. But are you guys aware they are also developing a RPG with green ronin i know i can't wait to see it.

I've only read his Niteside series but i've loved it. I frequently use it and him as a npc in my d20 urban arcana game it seemed like the perfect mesh for me and my group

I don't enjoy pre gen characters as a whole I've played them in games before but i never got into the joy of it. I don't mind pre-gen stat blocks where we get some good and bad. My players tend to enjoy that because it gives them freedom to explore but i try to make sure the the bases healer, basher, sneak, and magic man are covered.

For me i would the the Scout class from the complete adventurer would suit the raptorian well and i've found that keeping to the class itself is wicked. you might want to get a Dm apporval to get the speed bounus converted to air speed once you have HD to fly

I love this give us more!

I would love to see deluxe sheets I personally love them i just wish there was a place where i could DL the reg classes too even though i did buy the pack for other DCS

the inn of

Iced earth the blessed and the damned
