Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Round 3 (i think)

Chen will again draw in his inner reserves while fighting defensively

Destructive, Ferocious strike at the nearest opponent.

Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 4 - 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 4 + 2 + 1 = 201d10 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 12

Courage my friends don't let them surround you or we all die he shouts pretending to be afraid for his life in order to keep up the Charade

Current AC25

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

FYI: I will not be able to update until next saturday as i am away from home at the moment

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

so who's turn is it? and how many enemy left?

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Good that i killed my target but there are still many bandit currently locked in combat with us :)

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Round 1

Chen will attack the biggest bandit while fighting defensively

Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 2 - 4 = 211d10 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 2 = 11

Current AC 25

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

who's turn is it now dm ?

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

DM should roll init for the party in order to speed up combat ;)

Since we had some pre buff time here is the list: Bob (Alter Self: +2 Str / Shield of Faith / Divine Favor. For An Kai: Enlarge Person

Init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

its going to be pretty much an ambush. we just have to make sure none of them get away. Qian would you like to be larger for this combat? as you might be the best suited to prevent the back row from fleeing should they try

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

So how many rounds do we have in advance warning before they face us?

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

as soon as the warning is given Chen will rouse is group.

So this is a group we can take out so let there be no survivors. once they are dead we can strip them of gear and weapon to arm more people.

how many rounds of warning do we have before we are in combat?

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Very well then we move out. In the mean time I would like to have the 10 tigers arms every able villagers and get the packing in preparation done for the evacuation. Stricia we shall be relaxing at the choke point.

he says getting everything that was planned underway

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Very well then set up shop in a place you think ou can give up a decent warning so that the guard team at the End of the pass can muster as the bandits arrive. One owl bird call for 10 or under 2 Owl bird call for 10 to twenty and three of more than that.

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

First i need sentry. So volunteers that can see if we can have a good sentry post for advance warning of the incoming bandits. Then we will advise after that. But ideally i want An Kai, Qian and myself near by with the others hidden nearby

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Yes a week is enough time to pack seeds, food and everything that will be needed in order to start over somewhere else. In the mean time since the bandits will be coming to town before everyone is gone then we still have to prepare for combat and even mass combat in the plan i have detailed previously.

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

indeed Happy Bday

(and already 23k follower on your project.)

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Well i am back form my vacations and slowly catching up to things both here and IRL :)

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

the back up plan ? you won't like it. It involves taking everyone , seeds, farming tools and abandoning the village for at least a season and settling somewhere. If the bandits do not find you when they come in numbers for a whole season they will pick up their stuff and head else where. Think of it like a plague of Locust if there is nothing more for them to eat they leave. After a season has pasted you can come back here and start over again

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

We have, of course our fighting forces standing near by ready to join the fray. Our group added to the en tigers should be able to defeat twice their numbers he replied to Qian

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Very well, So this is the way i see things. When the next group of bandits come we shall take them out with only a third of our numbers. That means of 10 come out we need to kill them with only 4 or 5 of us. it doesn't matter if there are survivors. the goal is to hide our true numbers and have the bandit leader sent a bigger fighting force but not the whole group. In order to face them we take the 10 tigers and our group and defeat them. Hopefully the bandit leader will be then left with around 60 men. He will try to crush us with those. During those 4 to 6 days we will do some basic training for the villagers and meet for the final battle in that pass that was just before entering the village. in the pass the higher numbers of bandits will be less of an advantage since only so many can fit in a single front line.

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Thank you for your patience

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Before i answer that question i would like to hear the leader of the Tiger and the possible martial prowess of the citizen.

he says

I would like to know how many "fighting men" we could count on with some basic training with staves and clubs.

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Not sure about this Qian. We need to buy some time before we fight the main Horde. But i am starting to form a plan. that could get us a full week of preparations.

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

how often has those groups of ten come to the village lately?

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

yup it looks like good questions to me Qian :)

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

From what we were told there is around a hundred of them and not even ten of us and if you included your 10 tigers that isn't 20 fighting men

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Greetings to you all revered elders i am Chen and these fellows are the others that have chosen to answer the plea for help you have placed

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

once all clean up and properly attired Chen will wait for everyone before heading out to meet the elders

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Chen will enjoy and relax in the hot water and will thanks the girls that have made it such a pleasant experience

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Easily done. he says as he starts stripping off his armor

And where would said bath be ? ready to go ahead

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Great that is a start then. he says looking for the best comfortable place in the stable to sleep so that he can claim it

Now that this is done off the the village elders

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

We also do. But first unpack, meet the elders talk to them and the leader of the tigers, walk around the village then we make plans

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

They are the ones with any fighting skill and are charged with defending the village Stricia

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Great lets then unpack and then we would like to meet your villager elders and leaders.

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Well should we start visiting the area once we have settled?

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

indeed

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

I never said i was going to pray for its soul etc. I am merrily offering the last rite to a sentient being. And burying is will allow its remains to feed the worms and soil and therefore contribute to the cycle of life. It also has the added bonus of not leaving a great carcass tor others to find and ask questions. Others like lets say the Hobgoblin bandits for example he says smiling in the end

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

And i will come and collect that debt then he replied while still working on digging a hole as a wave of

Positive Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 5 is realeast from his body

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

I currently do not hold that answer, but thank you for your help

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Chen will offer the last rites to the passing of a sentient being before moving on

I am going to bury it.

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Round 1

Chen will move into a flanking position against the Ogre

Destructive + Ferocious Strike

Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 2 = 171d10 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 2 = 11

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Posting this to all My games:

I am heading off this afternoon to a 3 day music Festival. Expect very limited posting from my part.

If the game is in the middle of combat I WILL post once a day my combat actions.

Normal posting will resume on monday 25th

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

DM wouldn't it be faster if you rolled everyone's init?

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Well i guess you will take the following knowledge to your grave: Not all humans are the same. Some are good, some are not and some are just pure evil and most are in between.

init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

We most definitely haven fought or kill any of your kind. Some other humans maybe but none of those that you see before you

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

He showed up on the road and suddenly charged us. We defended our live ! he instantly replied getting ready for the soon to be combat.

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

Hopefully ys, Now why don't you come out of "there" and explain to me the plan to actually do that deed ? he ask nicely

Hp 9/9; AC 21 / 11 / 20; (Init +1; Perc +3 Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +5)

first things first. See the place, evaluate the possible strategies and the local population skill at wielding a staff
