I hate guns in fantasy. The moment you include them it completely changes the feel of the world from primitive and exotic to middle-ages and "normal." I really do not like it when my fantasy feels like historic drama. Give me blowguns which shoot exotic bee stingers and I am happy. Give me gunpowder and lead balls flying and I am bored to tears.

Not all of us have credit cards and when my transition issues are through your going to lose a custumer of five years now. I would think any added cost would be made up by the benefit of getting my money a year earlier. As was said above, and in other places, if you live in the US you can easily buy refillable Visa cards from many outlets - not to mention Visa check and Debit cards offered by most banks. You buy the card and put $50.00 in it. When it starts to get low you can put however much additional money into that you want. With month-to-month you can cancel at any time. That seems more advantageous then sending Paizo $216.00 for a year's subscription only to find out you really do not want the product but are stuck with it for a year; or trying to find a way to cancel a year's subscription to get your remaining money back.
Is there any chance that at some point a Pathfinder series (6 books) will be for a genre other then Fantasy? I really cannot see needing two Adventure Paths a year for Fantasy; at least not after the first year or so. So is there any chance we will see a 6-issue run for Supers, Sci-Fi, Modern, or Pulp thrown into the mix?
Is there any chance we will get to see some superhero adventures make it into Dungeon at some point in time? Between M&M, Champions, d6 Powers, Wild Talents, Silver Age Sentinels, and the various "dead" superhero systems still being played there are thousands of superhero fans who would benefit from seeing an adventure - or multi-part adventure - in Dungeon every so often. I do not believe it would be a difficult thing to get permission from the various publishers to include write-ups for a few different systems. Most of them would be happy to have the wider exposure. I understand Dungeon and Dragon cater to the fantasy fans but there are thousand of superhero gamers who seem to be left out in the cold. I know I seldom purchase an issue of either magazine because there is usually no information for gamers who do not play fantasy. I know I would purchase the more issues of the magazines if there was a monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly issues catering to superhero gamers.
I am not a purchaser of Dungeon or Dragon magazines - because I do not play D&D/d20 - but I have gotten a great deal of enjoyment from ready my copy of Shackled City and I would love to have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Age Of Worms as well. By the time I even heard about the project it was already all-but over - I would not even know what back issues of Dungeon and Dragon I would need to purchase to get the complete series. I just wanted to let you know that I am a buyer if an Age Of Worms book ever does get greenlighted. |
