Capricia and Sveng get an additional +1 to hit and damage from Flagbearer.

K. Religion: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
K. History: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18

"A ghast!" declares Bimble, upon seeing the foe, though he knows little more than that.

He moves behind the front line and prepares to help defend whoever the ghast might attack!
Ready action Augment to give +2 Dex for 2 rounds to whoever is attacked.

Inactive

Woohoo, welcome Capricia!

With Capricia joining, I will begin using my old alias, Bimble Ficklebopper, rather than Fickeblooper.

Inactive

Welcome back, Dak! I'm definitely interested in picking this game back up.

Inactive

Good luck with the school year, Caspian! I enjoyed your character greatly, and am sorry to see you go.

Inactive

Wow, that's awful, wishing you a speedy recovery Dak.

Inactive

Welcome back, Capricia!

Between the gold you just got and the gold you already have, it should be possible to both get you a Belt of Dexterity and magic your falcata.

2 days - Belt of Dexterity for Capricia
1 day - +1 Falcata for Capricia

Inactive

Hello folks,

With permission from Dak, I am changing the Level 5 feat I just got from Improved Initiative to Craft Magic Arms and Armor. So there's a greater variety of crafting available. If you'd like more or different crafting as a result, just say the word!

Inactive

2.5 days - Cloak of Elvenkind and Gloves of Larceny for Sara.

We can assume Bimble will craft for Capricia whatever she might want.

Inactive

Yay! Glad everyone's still here!

Missing a spell component = +5 to DC to craft. Right now, base DC for these stat boosting items is 13, so without the spell it's 18, and accelerated it's 23. Bimble's Spellcraft is +12, so taking 10, he can get a 22 automatically. Crafting speed is 1,000 base value/day. So the following should be possible in terms of getting crafting done:

4 days - Headband of Intelligence for Bimble (will increase his Spellcraft and allow for faster crafting)
2 days - Headband of Charisma for Rossana
2 days - Belt of Dexterity for Caspian

And still time for more requests.

Inactive

Oh great, thank you for managing all this loot, Rossana. Really awesome! I guess what I want to do is to sell all the stuff nobody wants because I can then start crafting gear for folks. Seems like there's a lot of downtime in this particular part of the game so it's a good opportunity. Totally fine with deleting things that are sold.

So I put Selling by almost everything (except there's a Bag of Holding that someone should take), and it looks like we have 13,492.4 in GP. That's over 2k a person if divided five ways.

Are folks still here? With Dak working on getting started again, would be interested in getting a roll call and taking requests for crafting.

Inactive

Ah, so I will disregard the LOOT table.

So if I want to start selling all the unclaimed stuff and add up the value, how do I do that? Can I create a person called "Sold" and assign stuff to Sold?

Inactive

Hope you are doing okay and all goes well with your Internet access.

Does anyone here understand how the loot table works? I'm not sure how the tab marked LOOT compares to all of the other tabs that are separated by category. Shouldn't we have just one or the other?

Inactive

Understood--thank you for letting us know, and pause until you're done with classes makes perfect sense to me.

Inactive

Okay, so I'm looking at the loot table finally, seems like we had some unidentified rings on there. Can we assume we've identified them all by now?

Dak--are you the one updating the loot table? It seems like our stuff is there. I'm a little scared to touch the loot table because I don't want to mess up someone else's good work. On the other hand, if something is missing, I want to be able to add it.

Inactive

A little busy, I will find some time to do accounting and crafting; just won't be right away.

Inactive

Bimble grins. "We'll get you some sugar for sure! Must keep the baker well supplied."

Inactive

Bimble catches Capricia working hard in the fields. "Didn't think you were the farming type, Capricia! If you're looking for something fun to do, this old man could use a guard and a pair of strong hands to go into town. Going to get some supplies in Lotheeder. Seems like we have some time here, and I might be able to create some useful magic items for you all."

Wizard 5

Bonus Feat: Craft Wondrous Item
Skills: Appraise, Craft Propaganda, K. Arcana, K. Dungeoneering, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, K. History, K. Nature, K, Planes, K. Religion

Bun-bun scurries back to Bimble as soon as the cats transform into weird fey creatures!

Bimble maintains Detect Thoughts while the others are talking. The fey seem genuine, but he still wants to know if they might be hiding something. He's sure Capricia would appreciate a little suspicion as well.

Inactive

"Hello kitties," says Bimble to the creatures that are most certainly not that. "Don't be afraid. We are all friends of Caspian and mean you no harm." He glances sidelong at Capricia as he says this.

Bimble lets Bun-Bun, his rabbit, come out for some play time. While the familiar looks at Bimble warily, the gnome nods and encourages the bunny to play. Bun-Bun gets closer and starts sniffing, curious.

Inactive

"Hm? Cats?" Bimble tries to identify what these cats might be, and if they're something other than cats! Knowledge check?

And he tries once more to study these--cats? creatures? spirits? Detect Thoughts

Inactive

Bimble frowns. "Oh dear, this is frustrating. We really need to find a way to appease this spirit."

Bimble casts Detect Magic.

"Does anyone remember that weird little hole we found in the house? Could that somehow be related to the spirit?"

If nobody else has a better idea, Bimble tries going there to Detect Magic too, if there's no trace of magic in the area.

He then also tries something a little different, searching the home for thoughts, starting with the weird hole area. Detect Thoughts.

Inactive

"Okay! Sounds like a plan. I think it's time we go home, but we'll come back here soon to investigate the pump. And we can then start to spruce up this town!"

Inactive

Bimble whispers to his companions. "Wait, so the punishment for Lucinia is having to travel with us? Ha!"

Inactive

Bimble greatly admires Rossana's fair but strong approach. He only hopes that Lucinia surprises him and accepts the offer to turn things around.

Inactive

Bimble is certainly put off by this woman who brushes them off so quickly. But he does notice that the woman left out a lot of the details. "Why don't you tell your side of the story?"

Inactive

Good old sense motive.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

Inactive

The old gnome approaches and offers Lucinia a bow as he would with any other. "And I am Bimble Ficklebopper, Lady Rossana's trusted historian. Can you tell us what happened the night before and the morning you were arrested?"

Inactive

Bimble is ready to depart, but is stopped short by Onara's note. "Trials for criminals? Oh dear, that does not sound easy. Can you tell us a little about this incident now?"

Inactive

Totally agree.

"We definitely need to get the basics in order here. Get the farms, roads, and especially the mill in good repair. I believe if we start to invest in the town, Baroness Voinum will be moved to contribute as well."

Inactive

Onara sounds like a plan!

Inactive

"Giving the house spirits food sounds lovely. I think each of us ought to figure out a gift."

Inactive

Bimble says his farewells to the departing nobles, paying special mind to one in particular. "Baroness Voinum, I promise to visit soon to try your homebrews and learn more Taldan history!" He bows deeply.

When they are all gone, he looks to the others. "Most definitely, Lady Rossana, we have announced our presence and made some friends among the nobility. I'm not as sure if we won over the populace, though. Lots more work to be done on that front." He considers the events of the past few days. "I still want to understand the house spirit that was not so pleased with us when we first arrived. Seems like the problems have died down, but I would still like to understand more and perhaps even make a friend. To be frank, it would be a good break from all of this exhausting performing we've had to do!"

Inactive

Seems like we can just roll 10d20 and see when we would've lost.

Dance moves: 10d20 ⇒ (15, 8, 5, 5, 6, 20, 8, 13, 1, 11) = 92
Not looking great for team Bimble.

Inactive

"Bravo, bravo!" Bimble cheers heartily at Sara's tale, which was quite good.

Bimble is tempted to stand and give a speech on the history of Taldan colonial ambitions in the 16th Century, but decides that such a speech would be of questionable interest to anyone besides Baroness Voinum. Not to mention he was dressed up in a ridiculous djinn costume.

Inactive

Funny enough, Bimble and Capricia have a DMB of 10! Definitely the odd couple.

"Ah, the Dance of the Phalanx. Supposedly a dance, but really a game of strategy." Bimble approaches and bows before the much taller Capricia. "We may not be able to compete in the beauty of our performance, but we can most certainly win the game!" He leans in more closely. "And I trust a pirate to do what it takes to win!"

Bimbme fishes around for his masquerade costume, and returns dressed as a djinn. "Much better than a hunt, I'll say."

Inactive

"All in all, a much more exciting hunt than I think any of us bargained for. Well done!"

He examines the jade bear statuette, admiring it for a moment. "Fine crafstmanship here. My lady Finch, do you know who might have carved such a piece? And also, what festivities do we have to look forward to this evening?"

Inactive

Bimble defers to the views of Lord Lotheed as he finds his pony to ride once more. "More than enough adventure for one day. I'll be glad to return to civilization and have some rest and refreshment!"

Inactive

Bimble leans heavily on his staff as he cranes upward to peer into Moffis's eyes. "A trumped up charge of what, exactly?" asks Bimble, uncertain of the man's motives. Sense Motive: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

"And is Iron Lash the name of the manticore that we just slew? Sounds like he has a reputation, then!" Bimble hoped the creature's defeat might earn them a bit more fame.

Inactive

"This whole affair is wretched," says Bimble as he hears the story. "Poor Moffis here nearly died because of this ridiculous hunt we are playing." He uses a bit of magic to clean off the man and make him more presentable. "How were you dragged into this game? It doesn't seem like something you chose to do voluntarily."

Inactive

Bimble has no great way to hinder the manticore further after blinding it, but moves a bit closer.

Inactive

Bimble just keeps waiting, ready to try more glitterdust if needed!

Inactive

Bimble uses a Wand of Mage Armor on himself, and then gets ready to Glitterdust the manticore if it seems like it's getting its vision back! 47 charges remain.

Inactive

Sorry for the delay.

"The manticore speaks common, so it can understand you!" replies the gnome to Sara.

Bimble runs forward as fast as he can to a nearby spot where he thinks he has some cover. Run action.

Inactive

Good luck, stay safe, and hope you find ways to stay connected to others even while locked down.

Inactive

"This creature looks more powerful than the typical manticore," warns Bimble. "The stories say that it can launch many spikes from its tail!"

"Lord Caspian, this magic will help you climb if you must!" Bimble casts Spider Climb on Caspian!

He then begins to advance, though he can only move so quickly. Move 20 feet.

Inactive

Earlier

Bimble is clearly horrified by the entire affair that has been arranged for the day. "Hunting" after peasants was not his idea of a good time. He really hoped that everyone would just fail miserably, though that was probably unlikely given how the odds were stacked.

Now.

Bimble tries to remember what he can about manticores!
K. Arcana: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

Inactive

Is Gul Gusairne around and influenceable? I'll pretend he is and make a couple of rolls.

Bimble finally gets up in the morning after having retired early. "My goodness, that was quite the party. But as soon as I had dessert, I had to give these old bones a rest!"

He looks around for a new face, Gul Gusairne. "Greetings, good sir. I'm Bimble Ficklebopper, at your service. You seem like the sort who would do well on a hunt." Bimble, on the other hand, did NOT seem like the sort. He reminds himself to memorize appropriate magics for the event.

Sense Motive to discover influence?: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Sense Motive to discover influence?: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

I'm aliiiive!!!!

On the road to recovery with respect to work. I've decided to slowly pick up my games again. And this will be my first! Now that it's morning, it seems appropriate that Bimble can catch up, having retired early due to his old age.

So . . . what did the house spirits do to Bimble this time?

Inactive

Hi everyone. Dak knows a bit about this, but I am updating everyone. Work is still a mess and got worse when someone gave notice such that I'm taking over a big chunk of the work. Right now, I need to take a break from PbP until I can recover, and I don't know exactly how long that'll be (maybe a month, maybe less, maybe more)? I've done PbP reliably for years now and intend to return, but I also don't want a character botted indefinitely which is a burden on any game. So I'm fine with whatever is decided about my character--whether to continue botting him, setting him aside momentarily, or even doing something more permanent and finding another player.

Really sorry, and I'll check in again when I can.
