Challenge accepted.

At the beginning of the meeting, Bill decides to grab the largest piece of evidence after consulting with the academy for a few new spells to his repertoire.

Using the several thousand gold pieces in my Secret Chest from our exploits at the mine and the foundry to finance this plan. 43,000 GP to be exact. (More than enough to afford the two spells scribed and the scroll.)

He vanishes from amongst his colleagues and finds himself next to the large cannon. With a smile, the academic opens up his spellbook to page 33 and quickly incants the spell. "Concedo me fortitudine decem viri."

As his muscles bulge, the man flips two pages forward and quickly recites the passage. "Et humeris portant orbem."

His body becomes covered with a strong chitin, but the man does not stop there as he flips to the very end of his spellbook and rips forth the newly printed scroll. He slams his hand down on the parchment as his blood gushes onto the page. How it was cut is unknown, even to Bill.

Caster Level Check to activate a CL 15 Scroll - DC 16: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31

As the scroll activates, Bill is engulfing in a swirling parchment that slowly grows for a few seconds until a mighty gold dragon erupts from the pages swirling about.

First, Bull's Strength to boost Bill's Strength to 12. Then Any Haul to triple Bill's carrying capacity. Followed by a Scroll of Form of the Dragon III to boost Bill's Strength to 22, which allows him to carry up to 1560 lbs.

The golden dragon roars in delight before speaking in Common to himself. "Ah, I could get use to such a form. Very majestic." he says reflectively before invoking a well-known spell as he hoists the cannon in one claw.

Teleport allows me to bring an object that is within my max carrying capacity.

Poof!

A giant Gold dragon appears in the center of the Magistrate Council room with the huge cannon in tow. He speaks to his comrades. "It only took a few minutes. Sorry for the delay, but continue Sven." he says as he conjures a dragon-sized tea cup and begins to sip with his claw clenched delicately around the china.

"My good man. Facts are an academic's domain, but if speech-making is involved then you are sorely out of luck with regards to my participation." remarks Bill.

"I once gave a lecture on the intricacies of weaving necromantic energies into evocative principles and three of my students had died from boredom." he says with a mirthful laugh. "Or at least that is what they tell me, I still maintain that they were zombies to begin with and the flesh had merely sloughed off after the 37 hour lecture."

"Perfect. Enough time to visit the local academy and relay my findings and hopefully send a team to bring back the cannon that we found!" Bill says with glee as he floats out from the meeting with Eliza Baratella.

In nearly two hours, Bill will appear with a flash in front of the magistrate's building. "I have arrived!"

With confirmation from Aiuda, Bill teleports the entire crew back to civilization with a few hand motions. The group travels instantaneously to a location just outside of Alkenstar so the group can enter without too much of a hubbub.

Actually, I take that back after looking at the map.

Bill incants a few arcane words as he extends his free hand with his fingers pointed at the orange-tinged gnoll. From each finger, a blast of pure arcane magic erupts and slams into the gun-toting creature. "I figured you could use some help, Aiuda!" he calls out.

The fiery winds slam into the cannon-armed gnoll as the projectile breaks a few of Bill's ribs. "Not a wise move..." the man remarks as he groans in pain.

"Let's burn off some more flesh..." he says grumpily as three rays of flame burst from the tip of his staff and aim for the exhausted gnoll boss.

Bill draws from the primal magic of the area and tries to conjure forth a blast of hot air in the area to slow down the giant before him.

The bell charm attached to his waist jingles as he concentrates, giving him the extra edge to conjure from the depths of pure magic as a Sirocco appears around the giant.

Bill flies through the room towards the conveyor belt leading to the waterfall and scans the area outside. "Are you even able to count to five, rock brains?" he bellows.

"I merely wanted to see what a fight would look like without me taking care of everything." the man says with a straight face back to Zelkin. A few seconds pass before he grins pretty wide.

Bill picks up the sword before availing himself of the nicer air in the previous room. "Ah, a blade befitting my excellence!" he remarks as he swings it around aimlessly. A few minor thunderclaps follow the blade.

He straps the blade to his back and decides to continue the adventuring by ushering Zelkin to the next door.

He swoops in just behind Zelkin and yells to the half-elf. "Step to the side! Towards me!" Pointing to the Pink Square on the map.

"I can grant one of you a bubble of air to protect you, but I would need to travel back to Alkenstar to find something appropriate to deal with these fumes." remarks the wizard.

"Or..." Bill says as he glances at the coal, furnaces and boilers.

Would anything explode and cause a hole to appear in the wall or ceiling if Bill hit it with a Scorching Ray? Bill has a pretty good Int. :D

Bill avoids a majority of the lightning blast, but his robes are singed once more. "Damn creatures not respecting my arcane authority..." he complains as he cleans himself up with Prestidigitation while Sven and Zelkin decimate the calikangs.

The arcane master looks over the desk and quickly adds the relevant books and receipts to his pack. "Perhaps these will be useful." he concludes.

"Lead the way, Zelkin. I think we are done here." Bill remarks.

@DM: The spell was Telekinetic Charge. Whitestripe would still get his turn on his initiative. I basically spend a spell to give him a free, out-of-turn charge attack anywhere within the range of the spell.

Hmm... I was just roleplaying that Sirocco was doing its normal thing and Bill was delighting in it, so I reread Sirocco. Does it damage and fatigue every round or is it once? I took the parenthetical to mean that it casts every round, but I can see that it never explicitly states that. Also, if it doesn't damage every round, then what does the duration of the spell apply to?

@DM S: I thought Bill was close enough for Bombs 3 and 4 to hit. I spaced that regular alch bombs are only 5' radius from the target, not 10' like Explosive Bombs. He still does his same action as he is down to 38 HP.
