The text above it says, "A guide’s efforts sometimes just Aid a roller, and some obstacles have special ways to provide a different benefit." So I assumed every obstacle that didn't spell out a different result was just an Aid check.

It's not exciting, but it works ok.

Thanks, I ended up using the Guide roll to either make the check harder or easier based on the result of the guide when it wasn't specific. Players who were guides felt it when they failed the team.

Are there going to be PreGen Characters for 7th level?

What are the rest of you doing for Players that want a PreGen for 7th level tier.

Curious as to how yall ran the Amphora Roll Competition. The Guide has rolls but not all of the results show an impact to the race. I was planning on giving modifiers to the actual Rollers checks. Let me know if I am missing something or the results of the guides rolls are not there.

It has been awhile since anyone used this post, but if you are interested in joining a Pathfinder Society group in or near San Marcus, you found the place. I organize and GM evening at the San Marcus Dragons Lair. You can find us at this Discord. https://discord.gg/HYR2edgY

Anyone know where I can get betters maps for this Scenario? I have the Tiles but they feel incomplete.

Is there a way to use reposition while carrying a sword and a shield? Nimble Shield hand was a thought, but I don't think Reposition would be considered and interaction.

Looking for some insight to an idea I had. I am creating a Champion Paladin that will be a tank. Picking up shield feat where I can, but also looking at Demoralize activities. There is a swashbuckler Feat (Antagonize) that causes enemies to keep Fear 1 unless they attack my Champion, which is what I want. Has anyone tried this and is it worth it?

I guess the key for me here is whose story am I telling? Is it the story of the heroes or of the villains they face? Or just a story of the situation.
I enjoy focusing on the story being told of the Heroes or Players. In many of the Fantasy stories I read the Hero often miraculously gets out of a tight situation or something happens in their favor that is unexpected. This is where the Hero Point comes into play for me. A Re-Roll when the dice are not in their favor, a second bad roll and fate has taken over even when luck tried to intervene. I have taken the Hero Point a step further and let a Point let a player add a story element to the narrative. It encourages interactive play between the GM and the Players. Of course this is just my take and it is entirely up to the story a GM wants to tell.
I reward Hero Points for Great RP and story interaction. A Great Explanation of a combat move or Spell Cast. I keep the Limit at 3, but rarely see it reached. The benefits are players who are the Heroes of the story, RP at their best to gain a "Story Point" Hero Point and a story that isn't always tied to bad dice rolls.
In the end it is how you and your group have fun.

Uggg! made a new map. Again over North America. I can place it over Europe too if you guys like. This one has the Golarion map split in two so I could adjust it in more detail. Now there is more "eye balling" going on in this one.

However, we have a scale of 240 miles that is within about 2 miles of the Golarion map. You can see the scale in the middle of the Inner Sea. I also scaled to the N/S distance of the map is right. My scale in Photoshop has N/S as 2880, but there is a LITTLE space not accounted for, and the globe map puts it at 2973, so easily the right height.

Now, I did adjust the northern and southern borders by eye. You'll notice the west border is not on the same longitude on the North as the South. Same for the east border. It just "looked better." If I had kept the longitudes exactly the northern portion of the map would squish in, and the southern part would bloat out, like the other maps did.

Now with those adjustments, essentially eye balling some areas, the map takes up a LOT more space on the globe.

Let me know what ya think. It's getting easier to adjust! lol

***Edit***
I'll make a new topic about the Mystara stuff... :)

More than a few year later... The Links no longer work. Anyone know where I can get the Golarion maps with Lat/Long lines on them?

I remember when Races were a class and only Human PCs chose different classes. When playing Dungeons and Dragon's was taboo and I had to sneak out of the house to play. Not to mention figure out how I was going to buy the books being in a city that didnt have an RPG shop.

Grew with the game from the Red Box all the way to 4th edition. Boy was a glade when Pathfinder came out.

BTW I still have 1st edition books, 2nd edition, 3rd edition and 4 edition.
