So we started and everything is going well but now I have another question. I only get 2 skills per level. Do I want to invest in the same skills over and over or spread them out? I've never really played a higher level character since I'm new to pathfinder and I am not sure if should be pointing my skill points in same 3-4 skills each level or if I want to put points into a little bit of everything.

Hands down cleric. Is guided hand core? If it were that would b awesome but I don't think it is.

It's not :(

I think I'm going to stick with the Cleric of Erastil build I posted in the first post. My only real problem is do I take Scribe scroll at lvl 1 or at lvl 3? I know I'll need it at some point but the rest of the party just turned level 3 and the GM said I would be on fast leveling until I catch up to them. I might just wait until lvl 3 to get it.

I thought about selective channel but I don't want to sell myself as a healbot. Last time I took selective channel the party took that as me wanting to heal every round possible.

I was recently invited to a play pathfinder with some friends. The current party consists of a fighter, barbarian, rogue, and sorcerer. I noticed they need some type of support. I don't know anyone but the DM in the group and when I told her I would play support she hinted that was a good idea. There are a few problems though.

1) Core rule book only.
2) I don't know what type of characters they are playing (I.E. I don't know what kind of magic the sorc is using)
3) We are rolling stats and the stats I rolled were:
12,14,9,13,17,13 not too bad actually.
4)I don't know anything about the campaign setting.

I kind of want to play a cleric of erastil with this stat setup

Animal and community domain
13 str
16 dex (+2 human bonus)
12 con
9 int
17 wis
13 chr

Feats
1)Point blank shot
Human) Precise Shot

That is what I'm thinking so far. But, I've only played PFS. I'm used to having a lot more available to me. Paladin and Bard might also be good ideas. I've never played a paladin before but I could see it fitting well but I don't know their alignments. Bard would be a lot of fun to play but then there is no healing. It might be nice to have someone who can run all the knowledge checks. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for all the advice. i asked about full round attacks because I'm going to take rapid shot but without war slinger I don't know if I would have to use my move action to reload. I am going to PFS tonight and will try this character out at lvl 1. I might switch strength and dex around a bit but I like the damage that strength gives. This should be a fun character either way.

Hi. I am making a character for PFS Society. I am still pretty new to pathfinder. I want to make a halfling sling weapon master and was hoping for some advice on the build.

Race: Halfling
Class: Fighter (Weapon master: Sling)

Str 16
Dex 14
con 12
Wis 10
Int 10
Chr 11

Racial traits:
I am taking warslinger instead of sure-footed which makes reloading a sling a free action(so I should be able to make 2 attacks if I use a full round action right?)

Traits:
Observant (Perception +1/class trait)
Reactionary(+2 initiative)

Feats:
1) Sling Flail and Weapon focus (sling)
2) Point Blank Shot
3) Precise Shot
4) Weapon specialization (sling)
5) Deadly Aim
6) Rapid shot
7) Halfling Slinger
8) Greater Weapon Focus

I also have a question. It takes two hands to load a sling but could I use a light shield and still use my sling since it only takes one hand to fire it?

Hello everyone! I am new to pathfinder and I'm playing in pathfinder society. This is my first character and I am allowed to change my character. I played this character last night and people were giving me suggestions on how to better him. I want some advice on making a cleric that's good for buffing/healing. Here is what I have so far.

Race: Human (standard I guess)

Religion: Sarenrae

Stats:20 point buy
STR 14
Dex 10
Con 14
Int 10
Wis 16
Cha 14
(I think I need help here)

Skills: Diplomacy, Knowledge Religion, Sense motive

Domains: Healing and Heroism

Feats:Selective Channel and Improved Initiative (DO NOT WANT THIS I was thinking maybe tower shield or heavy armor.)

Traits: Indomitable Faith (+1 will is good) and exalted of the Society (+1 channel is good)

Like I said, I'd like to be tanky and throw out buffs and heals. Also, tips for spells I should ready would be helpful but those are also situational.

Thanks for any help you can give.
