Berekiah's family were well known for their relationship and trading with the Humans of the Storval Plateau, and in particualr the Lyrunne-Quah tribe. But it is dangerous business travelling across the Plateau, and unsurprisingly, their camp was attacked on such an occassion. Foruntantly, the Lyrunne-Quah tribe were very close and came to their aid, driving off the attacking Giants. Unfortunantly they were too late, and everyone except Berekiah (who was still young, and protected by his Mother), was slain.

Not having any other family, Berekiah joined the Lyrunne-Quah tribe, and was bought up as one of their own. However, it couldn't last, and eventually he longed for the city. He was happy on his return, but missed the Plateau.

Now he lives the life of a wanderer. Constantly missing the wilderness when he is in town, and missing the city when he is amongst the wilderness. Dissillusioned with the world in general, he follows the gold, and his desires, wherever they might lead.
