I have a different question concerning improved trip, but I hope you can still help me.
The question ist: can you make an unarmed attack while you are armed? (carrying a weapon)
Background to the question: a dwarf fighter in my group has the improved trip and likes to combine this with the spell enlarge. He then tries to trip his opponent, which practically never fails with strength 18, enlarge and improved trip. Directly after his opponent is tripped he has a second attack, which is with a +4 modification because the opponent is prone. Can he make this attack, and the attack of opportunity which he gets when his opponent is trying to stand up, with his dwarfen battle axe which he already had in his hand while he was making the unarmed attack that tripped the opponent?
If this is possible improved trip is by far the most powerfull feat in the game?
Could you please give me your ideas on this problem.
Thanks a lot.
