I have made up my mind and thought up the final verson of the character. He'll be a human fighter with the Cad archtype. He'll start at level 4.
STR: 16
I reconsidered going all the way with the Shadowdancer I'll rather take just 4 levels. This way I get the HIPS, evasion, uncanny dodge, a rogue talent, the silent image, the shadow, the teleport and the conjuration and only loose one BAB and one feat. I will focus on surprise attacks from the shadows with disarm and dirty trick in which the Cad excelles. I think it will bring something new to the tank fighter role and will be a lot of fun.
Hi! I need a some advice and opinions on a build that I will try in my upcoming campaign.
In the party there will be a rogue/wizard who will turn into an arcane trickster, a ninja who will turn into an assasin and a wizard/cleric. The fighter will be a Cad from Ultimate Combat. I'll take the SD at 6th or 7th level. The concept is a spring attacker with reach weapons and a great sword when the former does not work. He'll be a fetchling. My stats will be something like this. STR: 14
I plan on reaching 10th level with the Shadowdancer. The reason I am asking for your advice is because I am not sure this will work out the way I hope. The build does not have the brightest stats, itt will not have the highest attack bonus either but I am hoping that with the shadowcompanion, HIPS and the other tricks that the SD has it will be a viable and useful character. So what do you think? Will it be capable at higher levels? Can the shadow evocation and conjuration be usefully used with a 14 CHA? Should I get combat expertise or should I go for the CON boost?
Forgive me if this has been brought up before. I'm playing an arcane trickster(ninja+sorcerer combination) and my main attack is the vanishing trick combined with scorching rays. Now my question is wether there is a rule in the books that clearly tells how many SA do a player get. As I understand the multiple rays blasted at the target arrive at the same time. I roll ranged touch attack for each so I told my DM that it is only logical that I get the sneak attack bonus for all rays but he said I'm entitled a SA bonus for only the first ray. Anyone know the specific ruling about this problem?
I am currently playing the exact same character. He's a 4ninja/5sorcerer/3AT. He's a half-elf with the Raksasha bloodline( mindreading rules). Over all it is really fun to play this dude, he's extremely versatile and a welcome addition to the party that had no thief type and arcane caster member before.
hgsolo wrote: Ben, check out the Guide to the Class Guides. There are two guides for optimizing the arcane trickster. I am currently playing a fetchling ninja/sorcerer in an online campaign and I went for the arcane bloodline with a bonded object. Problem with most bloodlines is you aren't getting the full benefit because you are multiclassing, but the bonded object remains useful throughout. So you did not take the AT way? What is your effective character level and what is your ninja/sorcerer level?
Hi! We have a party in pathfinder consisting of a human fighter, elven ranger, human bard(the player rarely manages to come) and a gnome druid. I played a human monk but I kinda got bored with it because in the social situations he is not very useful and in combat the fighter and the ranger always outshines him. What we do not have is rouge and arcane caster so I thought I make a character that is both. Since we are at LVL 12 my first choice was a ninja4/sorcerer5/arcane trickster3. The concept looks good on paper but I am not sure wether it is good in the actual game. Any experience playing it? My other choice is similar in the base classes but instead of taking the arcane trickster I thought about getting the magical knack trait and the street mage feat and go with ninja7/sorcerer5. This way I would be more a ninja who is a pretty good caster thanks to the trait and feat. Any experience with the street mage feat and wheter it is a worthy feat to get? The concept is to use the vanishing trick of the ninja and operate with ranged touch spells+sneak attacks, I do not really want to get in melee combat if possible. Anyway help would be appreciated.
Hi there! We are going to start a Pathfinder party and I have choosen to play the monk. I don' have a lot of time so I thought I come here instead of reading every thing and ask you guys. I will play a human or half elf or elven monk. We are using a 72 points buy system, all attributes starting from a 12. Could any of you who have played a monk before try to suggest me some good bulid? |
