How do you keep hope when the forces of destruction rain about you?
That is the question contemplated by the Eisen family for generations. A small band of halflings living in Kenabres, they are no stranger to the unending war against the demons of the Worldwound. Although there have been stalwart halflings battling at the front lines throughout history, the Eisens were content to remain at home in the city, tending and serving the crusaders who returned from the field of battle. There were many crusaders, they would explain, but someone must keep the hearth lit at home, for else what was there to fight for?
Bellis spent her childhood in much the same way, providing soothing music to invalid knights, always eager to hear stories from the battles, showing those who willingly fought such a fell enemy that their sacrifice is not in vain. She thought that her future would remain such an existence, in service to the fighters, but never one, herself.
That changed the day the fight came to Kenabres.
Crashing through the barrier of the wardstone, the fall of the dragon rendered the entire city in chaos. Bellis realized that staying away from the battle was not her fate, and she ran forth to immediately help with the rescue and rebuild. She has experienced the horrors in town, and with her fiddle by her side, she no longer dare sit back.
She will no longer tend with hope those who fall back. Now, she will bring the hope to the battle.
Appearance
Bellis normally performs with a fiddle, and is trained in dance. As a result, she is lithe, graceful, with slender fingers. Although she has taken to wearing a chain shirt for protection, she makes sure it is of the lightest material possible, and pairs it--perhaps incongruously--with a short skirt that flares like a tutu. She avoids wearing anything with bulk on her legs, all the better to dance and move about.
Her hair is a dark brown, long, straight, and usually held back with a ribbon or headband. Her eyes are very large, a similar brown, with flecks of blue closer to her pupils.
